For future reference Ocelotl’s spear is called a Tepoztopilli, which is somewhat hypocritical on my part seeing as how I have to google it every time just to remember what it’s even called.
Somewhat excited for this one. Me and a Buddy already did our own Grading based on your Rubric. I feel he'll land around the 70's for sure and not any higher. I believe one Execution is gonna be a huge crutch in his grading.
7:07 This one right here ended up getting me to disable dismemberment when I play as him. Not saying the decap isn't cool but it feels much more intense without it. Least to me.
This series is a wild one. And to be frank I love the work you did raven for this I have been following your channel since I was out of highschool and it gave me a good look at how different characters executions look. Keep up the good work sir raven knight ^^.
They could've done much more to ocelotl, they could've designed and given us a bunch of aztec shields and stuff and kept his sword, but we got a dual wielder.
Yeah personally, I thought Lethal Pounce and Skewered Prey makes little sense, mostly because his weapons' obsidian would easily break off. Still, a bit higher score than what I was expecting.
Wonderful video as always raven. You definitely deserve more subscribers for sure. Praying that the lord will continue to bless us with your content. God bless.
I actually have no personal gripes with this one raven, I agree wholeheartedly! I'll still share my opinions here though. New world greetings: I figured that wouldn't be super realistic. There's something I like about how fluid it is though. Slash, yank, dead. Simple but really satisfying for some reason. It also is aggressive enough to fit ocelotl. It felt like an "Got you, now get out of my face!" Kind of execution. Like the neck snap on lawbro where he doesn't even look at him, but angrier. Lethal pounce: Probably my favorite execution in the game. The warcry he does, the aggression of it, the placement of the spear, *chef's kiss.* actually, I'm surprised you didn't dock realism points for him Yeeting his macuahuitl into their shoulder. I guess the sawteeth make it work, but it's a nice surprise that efficiency was the main weakness of it. (And fair, he threw away BOTH his weapons for a moment.) But I will say, the idea of a Jumping stab with a tepoztopilli spear is probably cooler to some people than doing a jumping macuahuitl slam. That's just personal preference though. Plus, it's fitting for a tribal warrior to use a tribal style attack like that one. Ripsaw: *BRUTAL.* great execution to use when you're fuming. Skewered prey: Well, there isn't an execution of his that I dislike so far, but I've used this one the least. I prefer his blowgun execution in place of it (unless I'm using a cape outfit because ocelotl unintentionally flashes the camera with his Derriere a lot in that one. Same reason I don't use throne signature poses on gladiator. Ick. I don't want a camera full of Aztec warrior bum when I'm trying to poison dart somebody.) Ok. As for my opinions on Ocelotl himself... I *ADORE* this man. I've never been more hype for a hero than seeing an Aztec warrior invite himself to heathmoor. Unga bunga or not, I love Aztec history, I love Aggression, I love violent executions and going Absolutely Apeshit in cool-looking armor, and Ocelotl has all of that. I'm actually almost proud of Ubisoft for making a character that's So damn fun and cool. I main this guy now and I feel no shame about it. *To Mictlan with all our enemies!*
ocelotll felt a wee bit lackluster compared to afeera when she released tbh , got him to rep 1 than never touched him again unfortunately . but i always look foward to your vids tho👍

to answer your final question my feelings for all the new heroes are the same. amazing concepts and additions to the roster. all way to fast in game play and ass to fight against. the only new hero ( since monger, thats when I got the game ) I consider "balanced" is pirate. no shade to any outlander players, but I dropped all of them and still prefer pre- monger heroes love your videos.
I hate the fact that he has 2 of those weapons. He doesn't look comfortable with them, his running animation is very weird and not natural, it doesn't fit the character nor of a warrior nor for a hunter, just choose one. Either use the club or a spear and rock it, but both of them looks like devs decided to just force the uniqueness for no reason.
Why do people call the macuahuitl a club... it is a sword isn't it? It has 2 sides, both sides cut and rip flesh, its hilt is only big enough to fit 1 or MAYBE 2 hands... that makes it a sword doesn't it? Its an obsidian sword... clubs are blunt weapons that are a bit heavier and don't really do much cutting, but it does a lot of trauma and damage to the inner organs and bones... I don't like ocelotl... they didn't really gave him anything unique or cool or satisfying(except his prowler heavy)... his fashion is acceptable at its best... and he is the only hero i can't even play for one round without getting killed by boredom... i don't even get THAT bored when playing Apefeera... yk, atleast i can play apefeera for about 1 round before boredom strikes, i can't even do half a round when playing ocelol... i hate this hero.
Some people do call it an Aztec sword. I think club is more fitting, though. Think of it like a baseball bat wrapped in barb wire. It's a heavy club with additions that add a cutting element. I would say what makes a sword is that the working end is all blade, while this has blade added to it.
@@anoobyproaz5616 bro, the macuahuitl isn't the wood, the macuahuitl is the wood and the obsidian... without the obsidian its a club but not a macuahuitl...

@@MeisterSchwabbo I cannot think of any example of a sword that isn't a full metal blade. That's what defines a sword. A sword is a long blade attached to a hilt. If you can find any historical examples of a sword that is constructed with wood as it's base that would change my opinion. You are correct that the macuahuitl needs the club and blades to be classified as such. But I would say by it's construction it is literally a club with blades attached, even if it takes on a different name when combined. But as I already said, many people do refer to them as swords. I believe the conquistador Bernal Diaz called them swords in his memoir. But I also know similar weapons are referred to in Spanish as "macanas." The word macana also means baton. The macuahuitl is such a unique weapon that it doesn't neatly fit in weapon categories.

Not really hypocritical, you’re not contradicting your own beliefs

Congratulations on finishing this series (for now) Raven! It's been one hell of a ride, and I've enjoyed every second of it!

Good. That was we got a more unique playstyle and another shield champ

This isn't the first time I've been diagnosed with unga bunga & it will not be the last.
I will Eject on the four execution. I look close I don't think he cut the neck, it was more pressed plus no blood coming out of it..
Any plans to discuss episodes of Deadliest Warrior? I think a series on that show would be very entertaining!
YEEEEESSSSS
Don't forget the next viking hero next season
Oh man, I'm so excited 😆
Viking me favor
I like the last one
I vote that when he eventually does the Universal Executions, the character her has perform them is Ruth
Hey Raven, I’ve managed come up with a method for rating armour sets, if you’re interested I’ve put it in my comments reply.
How to rank armour
Defence (how well will it protect from thrusting, slashing, blunt and weather) ( x / 4 )
Manoeuvrability (could you be swift in the armour and does it work with the characters fighting style) ( x / 4 )
Style (how cool does it look and does it fit the character’s personality and environment e.g pirate = on a ship out at sea) ( x / 4 )
Realism (are there real world examples and does it match with the rest of the set in terms of century) ( x / 4 )

Also a fun video idea can be a top 10 favorite executions or least favorite executions. Or maybe a hero tier list in you opinion.
Also high hopes for new viking hero. Last comment I promise.🤣
pirate was literally the most broken character when they released... and they are still pretty fucking broken
