    Owner reviews on the web of the 8kg model seem very positive and no worse than the equivalent Logik/Bush/Electra model it competes with on price, which also review well plus A++, so no worse than machines costing 50% more.
    Usual moans about the drying times from those that have come from a vented dryer and haven't done the research but the massive savings on electricity far outweigh the additional time it takes these heat pump machines to dry.
    We're still running an old Zanussi vented dryer, which we use sparingly due to running costs but a family member has this machine and they are impressed with the features and drying performance but also the crazy low running costs.
    I appreciate it's a budget machine with all that often (but not alwaysl) entails but something like this at this price point will actually make a tumble dryer viable again for many households on a budget.
    I will certainly be buying something like this when my old Zanussi takes its last tumble, which is probably decades away.

    I’m looking for a 8kg integrated heat pump dryer but there’s little choice out there, and it’s disappointing to say the least. Curry’s have some but Bosch don’t make them, only low end manufacturers like Candy or Hoover or Beko. And I was looking at Caple TDI4001 Fully Integrated Heat Pump Tumble Dryer, which is supposedly very good but very pricey for what it is, and it doesn’t have much reviews for it to help me decide.

      Heat pump dryers will always take longer, but if they are wet, i would make sure they have been spun in the washing machine fully before going in the dryer. This way you should save time and money by extracting more water out of the towels before putting them in the dryer.

      Always a difficult one without seeing it but it could be the seal where the water goes into the container needs cleaning, or more than likely, if the door has dropped a little then the water won't get into the container properly and could leak out.

    • @lords-electrical

      I'm not sure exactly how to solve it, but it will more than likely be the child lock has been enabled accidently. If there is a key symbol on the display then that is definitely what has happened. It will be a case of referring back to instrauctions to see how to disable the child lock, which normally just involves pressing one or two buttons on the display panel.

      @monikanagyova8834 Před 2 lety +1

      I was thinking about getting a tumble dryer because of our "lovely" North Western weather but I was scared about the running cost, thanks for confirming my apprehension. I've just recently learned that using a dehumidifier is much more cost effective, although not ideal if you want the items dry in a short time. For heavy stuff I also run an extra spin cycle before I remove the laundry from the washing machine for drying, makes a huge difference in drying time in this mostly humid climate.

      @@monikanagyova8834 yeah but if you’re having to run an extra spin cycle at the end of the cycle to make it a bit more dry then you’re going to wear out the drum bearings quicker which means you either have to replace the machine or the drum quicker. Got a nice new version of this and it DIED in a year. It was cleaned after every single load, both filters and yet it won't drain/collect water anymore. Last medium load took 5+ hrs to dry.
    Waiting for the repair man under warranty for over a week now. Candy is making 10 000 different dryers and washers instead making 2-3 good ones. Nooo, instead they fill landfills. Had several brands in the US many were old and not once in 20+ years had a problem. Plus in the US the store takes care of you under warranty. Here in the EU you have to run around collect photos, copies, explain the issue in details on the phone and in writing, get serials and then wait for weeks. Crap quality, stores, services, policies and warranty. Good job guys!
