The bunny is so adorable. The big Carrot. I love that carrot. I don’t think I have ever seen anyone craft with a carrot that BIG. Is it 24kt (Carrot gold) lol 😂. I just had to throw that in there. The coffee table arrangement, with the carrots, is absolutely amazing. I loved your wreath you made with the carrots.
I really think that is the wreath you need to go with on your door, since you have the arrangements with the carrots. The lantern is BIG and BEAUTIFUL with the pink, purple and yellow. Love the bunny in the lantern.

I have missed several of your posts due to being sick with Covid, then I was in a boot for my right the ER doctor though I had broken, but the swelling was so bad the X-Ray couldn’t tell if it was broken or a really bad sprain. I could see the orthopedic due to the Covid I had. Well, the foot got better, I still limp a tiny bit. I had to be hospitalized two weeks ago for a small bowel obstruction (SBO). Thank God, I did not have to have surgery.
NG tube helped correct my SBO. My doctor, who is a God send; he had to do a major surgery on my October 2013. He saved my life along with 7 other doctors who were on my case and God was the one who gave me another chance at life. My husband believed and prayed over me and the surgical team as they were rushing me off to emergency surgery. He had them to stop and hold hands and my family all joined hands. My husband prayed.
I was on a ventilator for 33 days. I had gangrene to my large intestine. All but 18 inches was removed. I had a colostomy, chest tube. I was having trouble breathing and it was due to hemorrhagic pneumothorax and Sepsis (blood poisoning/infection in the blood stream). All my systems were failing. I had renal failure and needed dialysis three times a week.
My kidneys are working at 50% now.
I had a seizure and stroke. I had to learn how to walk and talk again through comprehension rehabilitation. Physical therapy, speech therapy, and occupational therapy, RN. I had all these medical personnel at rehab and discharge from rehab to home with all the same medical personnel.
Eight months later I had another major surgery to reverse my colostomy.
At the beginning of all this, the doctors gave my family the news that I had a small chance of surviving this.
FAITH and BELIEVING in God and Prayers got me through this. My husband had posted on Facebook I needed prayers, churches were notified, his friends and coworkers shared my situation and asked for prayers at their churches and social media. I received cards and bouquets of flowers from people we didn’t even know all across America.
My surgeon and my primary doctor kept telling my family to keep praying, because when a patient goes into renal failure they usually don’t survive very long with my condition. My sister told me that I had so many pumps and lines running every with all kinds of medication going in me all the time. Some of the doctors who cared for me; I had worked with them on the floor when I was a nurse at this hospital.
I thanked all my doctors after I got out of the hospital. This was around Christmas from rehabilitation.
I bought each one of them all a very nice pen with refills from Office Depot. This idea came to me because my primary doctor, he had a pen like the ones I bought the all. Even my primary doctor got one. I used to walk the halls with him when he made rounds on the floor seeing patients. As a charge nurse, you do that with the doctors. You know what the doctor and patient talked about, and you write down order and things said to help keep the doctor on track and if the doctor didn’t write and order for what the patient needed or asked for, you can remind the doctor.
I miss my days of nursing.
I am on disability due to a car accident messed up my neck and lower back. I have had two neck surgeries from the car accident.
I hurt 24/7 and have to take pain medications. I see a pain management specialist for that.
I know I shared a lot. I just catching up on your post of DIYs, because I was too sick to view them in the hospital. I was so miserable for those 5 days I was in the hospital and weak from getting over Covid.
It has been 2 weeks since I was discharged from the hospital. I am still weak and recovering from everything that has happened to me in this past two months. I had to go stay with my 80 year old parents, because I was too weak and still not able to eat or take meds without out choking. It had been a week since I had eaten anything solid.
My throat was severely and extremely sore. Swallowing liquids was very difficult and painful.
My mom made me some Jell-O and pudding. That was all I ate for a week and still was extremely difficult swallowing. I had lost 20 pounds in 5 days. The IV in the hospital was my only fluids. I ate a few bites of Jell-O.
I was given hot beef broth. Which seemed to help the pain I had with my throat. My regular doctor told me on Thursday’s visit I needed to eat some solid foods. I have lost weight to rapidly. He was always wanting me to loose weight. I am trying to keep it off and eating healthier. My throat got better after a week from discharge. I only had the pudding and Jell-O my mom had fixed. I would choke on my pills. I only took the ones I really needed (BP and heart medicine). Dissolved them in a small cup of Sprite Zero. Each pill separately.
Monday, I advanced to eating a small amount of soft regular foods. I got a small salad down with minimal add ins. (Cheese and tender baked chicken. I also ate baked potatoes with cheese and sour cream.)
Those are what I am eating (soup also is my friend.)

Sorry for the long post. I just think back at how Grateful it is to be alive and well. Thank God again that I did not have to go through another major surgery.
My husband is deceased and June will be Five years. I don’t have him around to help me and I miss him terribly and his support when I am sick.

Since Sunday, the weather here in southern Mississippi has been so chilly. Today’s high was 59* and the low tonight is going to be 36*. We have azaleas blooming, daffodils, trees are putting on their new green leaves and the grass is growing and green. The weather is bouncing back a forth. Last week it was hot and humid and you would sweat if you went outside; this week it is chilly and you have to wear a nice long sleeve and a jacket.
My son works for a contractor and they are building buildings in three different locations in the state. He goes to a different area and the temperature is different. He had to go to the doctor because of all the pollen had messed up his sinuses. That is happening to many here in Mississippi. Pollen and change of climate back and forth makes people here sick with sinus infection or really bad runny noses.
