In Malaysia most of the Indian restaurants have fennel seeds beside the counter, so that after the meal when paying the bill we can take some and eat it. It is free.

My mother had planted in the backyard so it was organic. That is important, buy a organic brand. In a pan boil a liter water with a tablespoon of fennel seeds, let it cook over medium heat for 10 till 15 minutes turn off the heat cover and leave for another 10 min. I drink it warm without sugar but my mother did put a little sugar back then, but now you can add a healthier for of sweetness, xylitol is my sweet choice Enjoy!

Indians eat fennel seeds for digestion after every meal . We also use for making herbal tea to treat indigestion and other stomach ailments .
Also it is a mouth freshener. And many curry powders contain fennel seeds. So besides Rome and Egypt, India is a big consumer of fennel seeds. I remember having relished fresh green fennel, on our way back from school in those good old days!
    Good information 👍

Glad that I have fennel growing in my garden so I don't have to go far to get the seeds. I see fennel growing in the wild all the time. We really do need to pay attention to what's around us as most people pass things that grow in the wild just to buy in the store.

I used to take most over the counter meds for reflux, but I wanted something natural. Since I was already taking Ayurvedic supplements, did more research and found the benefits of fennel in Ayurvedic medicine. The other benefits are just extras, why not? It works for me.

We Indians eat fennel seeds after dinner or lunch . You could say its just tradition so everyone sit together after finishing dinner ( because for lunch nobody's at home) then fennel seeds bottle or jar circulate among us . We chat and share our whole day experiences.
In India fennel seeds water given to small kid( above 6 months) having gas or stomach problems it relieves gas or stomachache problems. After my delivery my mom used to give me fennel seeds( to chew) after dinner she said if you chew these seeds then baby won't be having any gas or stomachache ( as below 6 months baby only depends on mother's milk)

I was educated by a fellow co-worker (nurses) who also is from India. She asked me if I liked the flavor of licorice? I responded yes always loved licorice as a kid growing up, even to this day. We just finished eating Mexican food containing Lots of Bean mixed in the food. (Black & pinto beans, lentils) we ate vegetarian enchiladas with same beans in burritos, "All GAS" producing along with bloating. (She saw me reaching for my bottle of GasX) She asked me to try something Natural. A tried & true Natural remedy use for over a millenia all over the world... She handed me a tiny Tupperware container full of Fennel seeds told me to pour about a small half teaspoon in my hand (3 small pinch fulls) and into the mouth. Instructed me to chew them up really good like chewing gum " to release the compounds of the seeds & to mix w/ the saliva. After about almost a minute, then instructed to then sip on some room temperature water. To my Surprise! I NEVER Experience any Gas Symptoms!!! I was self conscious cuz we were at work and we'll you know after about 20-30 minutes the Gas starts manifesting... Nothing, Nothing, NOTHING!!! I was totally Blown away and No Burping, No Bloating... I Hugged my friend after noticing after a few hours I had Zero Gass and that Awful Full Feeling desipitated as well! After work I went to buy a couple of bottles of this Impressive Spice & Seeds one in my backpack for work & one in the kitchen Next to my supplements. If I forget to take some right after eating, we'll Nature takes effect. Like eating yogurt for example, 30 minutes later started with some gas, I Ran 🏃‍♂️ for my bottle of Fennel seeds poured approximately about just under the size of a quarter amount in my palm and started chewing it away like gum. There's that wonderful licorice flavor then swallowed them down with water. In about a little over 5 minutes All my symptoms vanished... Of course everyone may have a different timing in results, But I Don't Use Gas-X Any more!!! ALL I CAN THINK IS WHERE HAS THIS BEEN ALL MY LIFE!!! I then sometimes pop in a clove or two to suck on Not Chew to freshen my breath (Which also has some fantastic benefits, learned from her as well) but it also just freshest ones breath too... that's my experience with Fennel Seeds God's Wonderful Gift to Humanity...

While it is known that fennel seeds have some beneficial properties, it is interesting that, in this video, it is all under the umbrella of 'may' and not 'do'.

That’s because content creators are not able to or simple do not want to make definite health claims. This is an alternative way of protecting themselves against people who would come back on them if a health claim didn’t provide the results that they definitely claimed they would. By using terms such as “may or may not” or “believed to be” it protects them from lawsuits or having their content removed

Yes, perfectly understandable - what angers me is that health matters should be used as bait to increase viewers for their channels. YT is a wide platform - all sorts of people from various educational levels and all sorts of background watch videos - the most gullible or vulnerable take what they read as gospel @@astridlove2327

What they said^^^ . Also, everyone’s body and biological makeup is different. What some plants can do for some , it “may” not do for others.
