And then I discovered Hiromi, and the passion is there again. She and her groups Sonicbloom and the Trio Project have, indeed, "revitalized" the genre and brought me untold hours of delight and joy. And they're clearly doing the same for countless other people throughout the world. We are blessed!

What I mean isn't that she's a greater pioneer (I don't think she is), but the end product is in academic terms "so fucking good". As for disrespect, what I *think* that you mean is that history and innovation is important and you better not disregard that, and I agree that's very important, but I think this is a misunderstanding of what you and "them" are saying. TLDR This is one of the epic shows that put Hiromi among the GOATs - What the band did to music and their instrument, imho are as great as the classical GOATs like Debussy, Liszt etc. It's THAT GOOD. I'm especially grateful that Hiromi is a well recorded artist! Snarky Puppy as well. 🎉
