I had the pleasure of working for a company that distributed Richard's videos. We also did Cindy Crawford's. One day I was smoking out front and a Limo pulled up. Was hoping it was Cindy.....Out bounces Richard Simmons, he ran up to me and yelled "I LOVE YOUR SHOES!!" Cracked me up! What a great guy.
Richard has a great sense of humor. I like when he randomly breaks out in show tunes. What a great personality. There's nobody like him. The guys a National Treasure.

At 3:16 the owner Scott (RIP), who was a great friend, said,, He was in the store when one of the producers walked in and asked to use his store for this bit, "anything we touch we will buy", Scott agreed and this is the result.

And healthy! No body aches. And made a decent living! And rent in a nice apt was only $600 a month! Ohhh what I’d do to go back!

SO, I'm watching this the same day I watched the Richard Simmons short film with Pauly Shore. This clip is almost 30 years old and I just turned 60 and I am laughing my hind quarters off. All the while, I'm thinking to myself, "This is not Pauly." I appreciated Richard back in the day, I miss him today, and I wish him nothing but the best for all of the smiles he gave me and a lot of people like me. Pauly, stop...Richard doesn't want you to play him, I don't want you to play him, and no one who remembers him wants you to play him because he is beyond your reach.
