Swiss Road Trip

In today’s episode of European travels in our camper van we arrive in the beautiful town of Lauterbrunnen, Switzerland. We take four cable cars to Schilthorn, where On Her Majesty’s Secret Service was filmed and visit the James Bond experience Spy World. We visit the revolving restaurant at Piz Gloria, then do the Thrill Walk at Birg. Further down we visit the picturesque village of Mürren, pass the amazing Via Ferrata Nepal bridge and then walk back down the valley from Stechelberg.
The next day we walk from our camp to Trümmelbach Falls where we catch the lift to view the 10 waterfalls within the mountain.
Day three we walk to the head of the valley to admire some of the 72 waterfalls in the valley. We call at a cafe and share a freshly baked muffin with a gorgeous little great tit.
We had to hide in the van on day four due to torrential rain but on day five we were back out with a walk up the steep hill to Wengen.
Finally we leave camping Jungfrau to head towards the Furka Pass.

Absolutely loved this video, it brought back so many memories (having been there three times, one of very favourite sites )such a shame you couldn’t get to the “Top of Europe “ last time we were there it was expensive, spent £1000 on a watch I’d been longing for 5 years, but what a memory jogger, I think our next visit to Switzerland may we’ll be Englburg in the snow season, as when we did lauterbrunnen for Christmas 2022 there was no snow. Looking forward to Furka pass which we’ve just returned from, we stopped on the Gottard pass at honesty box stop and bought butter and Raspberry jam, the best I’ve ever tasted. Keep up the great videos.

@@edwincooper7812 Hi and thank you. Yes we kept checking the webcams and there was practically zero visibility so it would have been a waste of time. But as Kath always says “it gives us a reason to go back” 👌🏻

Love that area. We had a gorgeous sunny day on Jungfraujoch but we missed the Zugspitze in Germany on account of low clouds so there you go
