I have an ecoboost and was REALLY hoping this was gonna sound good. Makes me wanna keep my stock exhaust now.

Somebody needs to put the super long headers on it. V6 so. 3 1in header runners ran to the back and another 3 on the other side the same way. It will give it a pitch nobody ever heard from that truck.

@@phil955i I just bought a used 2018 STX with the 2.7 ecoboost and I love it. This twin turbo motor great for doing real truck stuff, but anyone who mods the exhaust on an ecoboost truck should have his man card revoked.

@Drew that’s what the cats are for 🤣 mufflers just muffle the sound and sound only. Deleting cats is what causes more pollution unless you get the vehicle tuned properly. (These guys don’t actually straight pipe since straight pipe requires no cats, resonators, or mufflers)

THANK YOU!!!!!! I'm a V8 guy, but like you, I have an F150 Ecoboost. I like the truck a lot, but I ain't going to lie. I miss the rumbling of my Flo Master exhaust on my previous truck. Putting a high performance exhaust on an American V6 engine is like making a milkshake using sand instead of ice cream...it doesn't make ANY SENSE WHATSOEVER.

The new F150's with the turbo V6's are definitely sweet. Great performance, good fuel economy, great for towing, reliable....but please...please don't put exhaust on it. Leave it stock. It honestly sounds terrible with aftermarket pipes.

Preston Bolling 5.0 is fast enough and its a truck who cares a about mpg all i do with it is tow so i get bad mpg anyhow. Also the 2.7 has 325hp and the 5.0 has 395hp. And they both have the same 400lb of torque. And the 3.5ecoboost has 375hp with 470lb of torque

Whats the point in aftermarket exhaust if your not going to bend the pipes properly? I've never seen aftermarket exhaust without smooth bends. even the factory system now uses mandrel bends.
Honestly though if there was a way to get a good solid sound from the turbo all the time I could definitely live with that

Everyone hates on the Ecoboost V6 exhaust note, but some exhaust systems make it sound like an old V6 Detroit Diesel at times. And I know very few people who hate on those.

Motor Toys Because there is no stock V8 that is faster than the Ecoboost with the same an configuration. Basic modifications on both trucks will still give the advantage to the Ecoboost. The only V8 trucks that will beat a full bolt on/tuned Ecoboost are heavily modified ones. At that point you can install aftermarket turbos on the Ecoboost and it will be the same. There are Ecoboost F-150s making well over 700 hp and they are light because of the aluminum body. It would take and aftermarket turbo/supercharger setup or a heavily modified V8 to beat an Ecoboost.it has been proven time and time again.

Wait, no his is a supercharged 5.0 V8. Give it up dude, the argument can be made both ways. There are TT and supercharged STOCK BLOCK 5.0s pushing 1000hp. Find me an Ecoboom doing that. The 5.0 f150 still has an aluminum body. Lol all these 6 banger guys so quickly forget you can boost a V8 to then it's game over. I haven't seen an Ecoboost come to the table yet that is even close to giving "Boosted F150" a close run. Basically, what you are saying, is it takes TWIN TURBOS to even compete with an NA V8...lol...sad.
I almost bought one of these trucks, thankfully I found this video and quickly changed my mind. I’ll stick to looking for a v8. I’ll take poor gas mileage over that terrible sound any day.
