    Greetings from an American professor in Taipei, Taiwan! I also teach English and Spanish privately both in person and online. Is it common for private teachers, what you call tutors, to meet students in public spaces such as coffee shops?

    • @Sethisfy
      @Sethisfy  Před 6 měsíci

      It happens but not really common. We have a lot of tuition centres and home-based tutors

      @@Sethisfy It’s very common here plus we also have what we call cram schools (tuition centers). What is uncommon is to teach in one’s own home, although I’ve taught in students’ homes before.

      There are no regulations to becoming a private tutor. But some parents probably want to see your educational transcripts

    Assuming 150 per hour * 10 students = 1.5k per hour. Even by just working 1 hour a day, you earn 46.5k a month. If you work 5 hours a day, that's 232k a month. It sounds way too good to be true tbh, why wouldn't investment bankers drop their job and teach tuition?

    • @Sethisfy
      @Sethisfy  Před rokem

      I don’t know where you get $150 per hour from. Few people would pay such a rate for group tuition.
      Also, most things earn a lot when you have scale. Getting to the scale is easier said than done
