I absolutely love the effort you put into your videos. I don’t know what I love more, riffs or solos, but I know Trivium’s Ascendancy has my favorite for both
I'll have to say played 6 string my whole life just recently got a 7 and boy I'll never go back I think 8 or 9 string is just a little too low sounds like mud, some bands make it work for sure but 7 string you get that low deathcore evil sound without dulling intensity whatsoever and everyone here much love to bands like atreyu and as I lay dying I still listen to them but check out within the ruins, after the burial, make them suffer I have an endless list of badass 7 string bands unearth and Trivium tho is what got me into 7 string to begin with within the ruins, make them suffer, after the nursing and bands like that made me get a credit card and use 1350 to buy a decent 7 string and amp and ive just never been happier next to get some nee ernie ball cobalt strings for thr highest output strings ive found so fat the pickups can actually pickup thr cobalt metal so it gives you a noticably higher output
You just need to find the right bands, check out Currents, Polaris, Spirirbox, Dayseeker, Zero Below, Erra, Fit for a King, Crystal Lake, or Bleed from Within, all of them have been keeping metalcore alive and moving
There are 4 distinct eras of metalcore
1. Hardcore era 1995-1999.
2. Melo death era 2000-2007.
3. MySpace era 2008-2014.
4. Djent era 2015-present.
Next is probably the THALL era which is still kind of djent.
Checks out 🤔
@@genericname9875 tbh I find that era kinda boring
@@thelittleowl1 entire djent is boring smh
@@thelittleowl1 I really only like Vildhjarta, Reflextions, and Pathogen. The rest of the thall bands are kinda boring.
Nothing Left by As I Lay Dying was my entire childhood. The nostalgia from hearing that riff was unparalleled
Lmao I see what you did there
The Architects song is actually "hereafter" from the album holy hell
That's one of my favorite As I Lay Dying songs too.
As I lay dying will always be my top favorite band. They rocked in concert back in the day. Saw them with Atreyu.
The rise of 7 string guitar in metalcore is amazing
I love architects I'm glad you chose them for this
Architects! Let’s goooo
Both are such great songs!!!
First song sounds like it was inspired by Blackened.
Old school one love
Architects are seriously under rated
Part 2 Architects 2008 as I lay dying 2020. Lol love em both. Nice playing btw
Love the tone, man 🤘
Thank you sir, it's an honor!
I absolutely love the effort you put into your videos. I don’t know what I love more, riffs or solos, but I know Trivium’s Ascendancy has my favorite for both
Thank you! And yes that album has it all! It always hurts a little bit when I think how young Matt Heafy was when they made it lol
Good job bro! It's crazy what happened with the singer tho
I miss the time when musicicans didn't fear the notes
Thats why Periphery is amazing, Polaris too
No matter old or new , metal forever for me...!!!!
I’m giving you sub you play everything I listen to
Lmao that part where you let go of the guitar to do the drumming had me dead xD
The now was like a Mashup of djent and some metal core. Pretty cool, I could get down with it
Great sound
I don't know if I prefer the older or more modern metalcore, they're both good
i prefer modern metalcore but older metalcore hits different.
let me guess... You both are between 20 and 30 plus
@@steve-us2hglet me guess.. your gayZ
I always enjoy your vids. Great content and axe work. Please keep ‘em coming!
Thank you! Much appreciated
At this rate Metalcore is gonna be just DUBSTEP.
Why do you say that
Dubstep is based off metalcore originally so
@@lincolnhammonds3948 What???
@@elgato3732 yup
@@lincolnhammonds3948 ill be honest ion hear the resemblance between skream and as i lay dying
The fact that 2007 is considered old school makes me feel... Old.
Just came here to say that Jordan Mancino is one of the most underrated drummers of all time.
It depresses me that this can be divided into new shool and a school
At The Gates Core and it's progression to Meshuggah-lite.
I know it's a guitar video but can we just take a second and acknowledge Jordan Mancino being a top five metal drummer?!?!
Herafter goes hard as f
as soon as i saw the eight string all i thought was
djent
YOU ROCK! 🔥🔥🔥

I love both, but I'm always gonna choose old metalcore
That Architects Riff somehow sounds off.
Isn’t architects more Djent? But killer vid dude
Melodic death metal with breakdown vs djent?
You shred dude
I mean... I like both As I Lay Dying and Archeticts. But both bands have some solid new material.
Blackened o primeiro vídeo ?
I don't even really like metalcore m, but as I lay dying slaps
AILD riff is a straight jack from Metallica
Bro what?
Love how the now is 5 years ago
And the old is 15 years after metalcore became a thing
Old school always by better💀🤘
That main riff reminds me of a Metallica song.
DBA chord🤟
I would've played modern AILD lol
Exodus impaler ?
What is that silver ltd?
It is the Ken susi signature model
What guitar is that Schecter?
Schecter SLS C1 FR-S
C-1 sls elite
First one sounded like rhythmic cat ball squeezing. Second one was just drop the strings a bit and play random trash
The second one that is Hereafter. Not Holy Hell.
Oops! Yes that's right
@@ThomasHogue You're welcome.
7 string guitar is necessary for new school?
No, Architects uses 6
you can use a 6 string guitar and tone it down for a more groovy and djenty sound
Lots of modern metalcore uses 7 strings
Definitely seems we’re devolving
You just need to find the right bands, check out Currents, Polaris, Spirirbox, Dayseeker, Zero Below, Erra, Fit for a King, Crystal Lake, or Bleed from Within, all of them have been keeping metalcore alive and moving

lol
Still some shit for teenagers.
Now
nah dont play with fire bro youll get burned.
Metalcore ist for emos
Please go back to "then" 😂 you also played the most bland song for that
First one sounds ore defined and better
God Forbid, Shadows Fall, Sanctity...they had fun in their music and awesome solos. Modern metalcore...eh.
Thought he was going to clown new 😅
Djent , is not a replacement for metalcore !
You couldnt get the tunings or song titles right. Nothing left is in c not d.
metalcore has always sucked
Okay buddy
You do
Exactly! That’s why Metalcore has tons of fans.
Says you
You probably listen to grindcore and get relaxed lol, psycho shit
new metalcore is trash
