  • Abudhabi is the capital of U.A.E located in an island of the gulf sea. This small but developed island has a lot to offer when it comes to tourists, from the marbled wonder sheik zayed mosque to Ferrari world and more there is so much to do and see but have you ever wondered what you should be trying when it comes to food?!?! Well here is a full on #vlogseries on #wheretoeat in #abudhabi.
    .
    Abudhabi has a lot of mix cultural backgrounds when it comes to food, Speacially with Asian influence since the work force is predominantly Asian. So you'll be seeing quite a few Asian restaurants and influenced food in this vlog series. But one this is for sure, The food is so delicious that you'll definitely want to #visitabudhabi just for the food.
    Let me show you what i mean!!!
    .
    My first stop was at a small coffee shop called Shay Madboot down Airport road abudhabi, please note that these kind of coffee shops has all a variety of breakfast dishes from your favorite avo toast to your french toast but having a classic #shakshouka is always a winner. Dont forget to order the popular #karaktea now you get karak all over U.A.E in tea houses and little fast food restaurants but places like shay madboot specializes in making tea and coffee so make sure you get your karak on. :)
    Then for lunch, YOU HAVE TO TRY the popular #mandirice i kid you not this rice dish that orginates from yemen has taken over the middle east. Its prepaired overnight or for 12 hours minimum and stock is used to boil the rice with extra spices served with a spicy tomatoe relish and fresh youghurt, finish the meal with kunafa with rose flavoured sugar syrup. Trust me, You dont want to miss out on this, its an experience on its own. There are plenty of mandi restaurants all across U.A.E but i personally prefer going to Saudi kitchen Al Mushrif on airport road Abudhabi. Because when it comes to mandi Saudis makes it better than anyone.
    .
    More than anyother Asian country, Pakistan i would say has left the biggest mark and influence in the emirati food culture and why not! With their fantastic flavours and cooking techniques they definitely know how to make really good slow cooked phenomenal meat based dishes that is a must try in Abudhabi. I recommend Al IBRAHIMI, a very popular franchise around abudhabi and dubai and now even in sharjah but if you want to try the orginal its located at elactra street Abudhabi.
    .
    If you are looking for that good old world famous charCoal chicken also known as the "circus chicken" for its crazy contraption with charcoal placed on top and bottom then slow cooked for 45 minutes, Look no further than a roasterie close to you that has the following names such as lebanese grill, Istanbul or Turkish grill. If its crowded and packed with no seats available, then have a little patience wait it out and try the food from there. Rule of thumb, if its crowded the food is good.

      Abu Dhabi is the real deal.. if you want fancy food or really good fine dining.. I would suggest Dubai.. but if it's authentic food.. it's definitely in Abu Dhabi as Dubai has become so touristy. Thank you being here and hope you have an awesome time in Abu Dhabi.

    I've heard of camel as a delicacy in the UAE and while I've seen places which sell it in Dubai, I won't be in Dubai for work. I'd really like to try it. Would you have any recommendations for a good restaurant which serves camel in Abu Dhabi?

    Did you feel safe in abu dhabi? Any issues as a woman there? Do you think it would be a good place for a foreigner woman to live for a couple years for a job?

    • @jamalchoudhury1277
      @jamalchoudhury1277 Před 5 lety

      If it helps, my wife has lived in the UAE with my son for nearly 4 years now(and we'd only planned for 2) and she's never had any issues. It's totally safe even at night and any untoward incidents are very rare. The only thing most foreigners would agree on, is that their bureaucracy pushes your patience at times but other than that it's a throughably good experience.
