- I'm back from Malaysia and a little jet lagged (which you can clearly tell in this video), but I brought the MDX Exclusives home, and let's have a look.
Plus, all the models Mini GT and Kaido House previewed at the event. Lots to look forward to!

That black chrome SVJ is stunning. That is my absolute grail and I wish 1 day i can get my hands on it. Love the direction MiniGT is heading but I hope to see more Toyotas. Not just Supras, but also those big body sedans like Celsior and Century, rally cars, Hi Lux, Land Cruiser, Hiace, etc.
i stop buying mini gt to me the quality is just not their compare to other diecast brands

For realll, Mini GT's putting out a lot of great hypercars and Le Mans cars on their line up

They all look great. Wish I could get my hands on the green Malaysia Kaido. Also that black chrome makes me think of the Inno 64 set with the black chrome GTRS.

Destruction of extra models is the perfect example of artificial scarcity. And that is what is wrong with " chase " culture in this hobby. It is not important how good the model is, only the sense of artificial exclusivity matters.
so why let it bother you? Too many collectors are concerned about chase pieces and production count. Collect what YOU WANT TO COLLECT and don't worry about the rest.

just an idea:
maybe consider making videos of upcoming events where we can go and get these exclusive cars for ourselves. I often find out about these when it's too late. I'm sure there is many people in my position!

Lamey, wish you should do other car manufacturers’ dealerships for your diorama, that they did with the NISMO and Porsche from the toy car fair, in order to have your complete car dealership, around the world.

The Omori Factory diorama is my fav.
I was gonna order a couple of those in blue and white but now that I see them up close I'm having second thoughts ,the open front fenders look weird.

Really going to destroy any unclaimed dinner models and such. I under stand perfection and destroying those that don't meet standards but to waste things to keep them unique. It's like an artist to only display a great work and not allow any recording of it and after a while destroy it so those that come later get nothing to admire because they just were not in time to see. It's like the audience is being punished. Knowing a model is limited and I can not have one of my own is part of the hobby, but to know some were destroyed just so is such a waste. It literally puts a kink in my neck, it may cause me to pause if I am going to continue to buy Mini GT.

hot wheels is abit more fun and creative, this feels abit too bold
I struggle a bit with this exclusivity in these "dinner models" and whatnot. I've always been a blue collar guy, while I CAN spend $300 on a casting if I wanted to, I don't.
When a company goes as far as unnecessarily destroying extra models that were pretty exquisite, it starts to feel like snobbery. "You peons will never get even close to being in our exclusive club". Of course, the nice name "exclusive" means excluded. It focuses not on how humble one should feel to be included, but on those who are excluded - locked out.
"We destroy these extra cars. Even if you have the money, you're not even getting the crumbs from our table."
Now I don't actually crave one of these exclusives (does that still have an appealing ring to it?). I'm quite happy with my $15 - $25 models.. But the attitude that that exudes is quite a turn off.
John, maybe you should consider sharing that with those you rub shoulders with.
