Inspired by the success my story had over on Reddit INC channel. The story "I've Been Flying For Almost Thirty Hours and The Flight Attendants Won't Stop Crying - Zábava
I'm baffled that this video doesn't have more likes bc it definitely deserves tons and tons. Some of your examples and ideas were actually very cool and original. I loved your tips. You have a new suscriber 💕
Such great advice. I just posted a story on /rnosleep and the first title was
“Nigtenberry Grove: Samhain”
But then I changed the title to “I celebrate Halloween every day… I think it’s the only way I can keep it away from me”
I’ve written horror before, but now I’m trying my hand at Reddit and clickbait titles.
I like this behind the scenes special! Very well done as always Worcester.
My inspiration was:
The wood on the front porch is stained with blood.
It's called "There's a Man Spilling Juice on our Porch"
From the POV of a young girl, who wakes up, and finds a red stain on her porch. She asks her dad if he spilled juice on the porch. The dad immediately knows what it is, but the girl is confused. And throughout the book, the idea is that the girl barley knows what's going on.
Mine is the same but it’s actually juice..
Finally a piece of writing advice that helps me.❤
The story your writing is the first story of yours I found on Reddit, keep up the great work.
I can't really tell if its genuinely your name or not because you're such a really good writer and storyteller! I can't believe I've just found your channel recently.. btw it's through your scifi story ;D
Maybe it's just me, but I'd rather read a story with a title like "Maine in Autumn" than "My balls itch more than usual... and I think it has something to do with my dog dying."
It's probably because most of the front page on Nosleep is the latter, but short and sweet titles are more likely to catch my attention.
Keep up the good work, guy! I love your stories
What's with this new reddit trend of naming stories so weird
Probably people getting inspired by most popular works, also I feel like it goes in a CZcams title direction, so its only the expected chronically online Reddit behavior
He literally says in the video it’s clickbait so people will click on it
Watching this because I found an inspiration online, but won’t be disappointed if someone who is a better writer than I am took it and ran with it.
This is a real Craigslist ad I found a few days ago:
“$90 for 4 1/2 hours of listening for noise, not conversations.
During Late Evening to Early Morning
Studying or reading is ok. We only need you to listen for noise and make notes.
Completely legal, no danger, safe environment inside our condo home
which is located in a very safe area
Just sit at a table, listen lfor noises/sounds and make notes describing what you may hear.
Thank you”
Yes this is a real ad.
That sounds very suspicious 🤔
1:45 so i guess Scott Cawthon watched this video (with the Hide And Seek story, a monster you can only see in reflections)
Also thank you for all of the help, i'm just 2 minutes in and i already feel like i have enough info to write a successful nosleep story (most explainations and help videos either don't exist or are from like 5 years ago and outdated)
Your stories give me chills
Fantastic guide. Loved it!
Thank you for this!!! I’ve been thinking about writing scary stories while in quarantine. Also I just discovered your channel, you are a very talented creator. Keep up the good work!!
Thanks for the advice. I always like writers who describe their process for writing.
If this takes care of my writer's block, I will sing your praises.
His voice is so calming
You sound like a interesting person to have a conversation with. I personally have a strong taste for cosmic horror.
Thanks for the advise
Amazing tips! I learn a lot 😎👏👏👏👏💪💪
WOAH I READ ALL OF YOUR STORIES IM A FAN
amazing i used the idea in this story it really helped
Thanks
Yes I believe it will
Thankyou for this helpful video. And I have a few questions:
- Why do you choose to post on Reddit, instead of saving your stories to make a short story collection book?
- What do you feel is your win, what do you think makes it worth it posting your stories on Reddit?
(I also wanna post on Reddit, cause I wanna share my work & find out if people will like my stuff, cause up untill now I've only been able to show people who are close to me.)
- Aren't you afraid people will steal your ideas?
If you could answer this I'd be so happy, thankyou!
People are more likely to come across stories from nobodies on reddit than Amazon. Reddit is a good place if you want your work to be seen and build a audience
Sir your title Autumn In Maine is far FAR better than the crappy question-titles that seem to be popular....
good video! fascinating channel I like it! i like this channel!
Well, buddy, you got style, I give you that.
Bruh I've read this a couple days ago
Holdup Blud posted this story
The titles are long and weird because the stories are posted to reddit as if it is actually happening, and it's a post online talking about it.
Those titles seem way too long.
In japanese YA novels, it's worse.
Excellent content, but a very STUPID idea to have a triangle flashing bright lights at the audience. This went from a "need to save this link" to a " get off thins channel fast..." -- What a STUPID move on your part to mess up a good tutorial...!!!
You can just listen to it in the background. Don't have to look at the video.
Horror stories as a genre of fiction are all well and good, but per the old truism that maintains truth to be "stranger than fiction", and as a student of the esoteric and occult my bent is entirely toward those narratives that come from real people recounting real experiences. And besides, the facet of self that seeks always to find titillation by way of the voyueristic indulgence of witnessing the abject and wanton sufferings of other human beings does not strike me as one that ought to be the focus of purposeful cultivation and encouragement. It was a shock jock of a prior era, now deceased due to the bullet of one drawn from his audience, that made this latter point most poignantly clear, and actor/comedian Eric Bogosian who by way of his portrayal of that personage from real life who drove the point home. Fear-mongering, after all, is nothing but a means by which to drive the self and by extension, entire societies down into the Great Abyss. As we are now witnessing in relation to the hype and hoax surrounding a the fictitious "crisis" surrounding this coronavirus and thus an infection of no greater severity than the common cold, it's a lesson that we all could learn, should learn and must learn if we are to have any hope at all of rising above the fray so as to extricate ourselves as individuals from the cesspool and septic tank of our current collective predicament. Not that anyone cares...which is precisely my point. Thanks then for the efforts you are making, it's just not my cup of Tee. For your edification, please note the following citations:

Lot of big words just to say you’re too ignorant to see the dangers of a virus that’s right in front of your face, and too pompous to understand the more baser motivations for horror stories than your incorrect assumption of a person’s intentions to bring themselves and society down. It would seem you boast a vast knowledge of horror, but have no actual understanding of it in the slightest. Nice try though
