It's kind of funny, Midge actually wrote the song, but somehow he doesn't connect at all what the song came to stand for - Fade To Grey is no rock/blues/folk ballad, it's the anthem of the new romantic movement. Well, it's a new version, take it or leave it :) Midge always puts these strange edges into his songs... it seems like he wants to express something with them, but he is just taking people out of the flow imho. My first "favourite song of all time" though.
