With the release of the much anticipated new movie ROCKETMAN in theaters May 31st - I thought it would be fun to post my interview with the man himself - Elton John from 1995.
This interview took place in Toronto in 1995 -shortly after Elton won the Oscar for The Lion King.
He talks openly about his life and cleaning up his "personal" act by quitting drugs and alcohol.
His music changed my life and it was a huge thrill to get this opportunity.

Probably because he was clean again.
Like before the Coke years, when he was bold and cocky in interviews.
Interviews like this really show how cocaine changed his personality. What a sweet boy there was lurking underneath it all.

Great interview. I am going to share this with the Elton John Facebook group I'm in. We love seeing these great interviews with Elton.
On another note- it’s amazing that the collaboration with Billy Joel lasted as long as it did. A recovering alcoholic on tour with, well, a current alcoholic- what could possibly go wrong? Fortunately, what went wrong wasn’t Elton joining Billy in the bar.
