My friendly, yeah it's me. Your results are scaring me. I'm starting a yt channel and I can't figure out why you're not having better results. Your videos are great, very informative! No comprendo. Tell ya what; you are one determined hombre.
Yea it is indeed scary. As of August, my stats are worse than ever. I just have a handful of viewers/subscribers who watch me regularly. But YT doesn't really show my thumbnails to anyone else. I see 90% of my traffic coming from subscribers (10% non-subscribers) in some cases.
My strategy as of now is to not talk about the negatives in the economy anymore, but just to make evergreen content. Whether it be positive like this one, or informational, like some of my stock videos, etc.. I just want to eliminate any of the negative "economic doom" content. My theory is that it could be hurting me, because YT prefers people to feel positive when they watch so they come back for more. YT doesn't want viewers to feel negative and then decide to limit platform usage.
it is only a theory, and the only one I have. And responding to your other comment, yes I am verified. Additionally, a lot of other people are experiencing this, so at least I'm not alone. That is at least enough to keep me going.

Probably a stupid question because I know how knowledgeable you are about many things. Did you verify your channel?
@utilityassistance following up to this, i mentioned it in my other reply but, yea, the rule used to be that you needed to be verified in order to customize your YT handle. One thing that surprised me is that I thought this video was going to die at 20 views. So it is good to know that it passed a hundred. But overall, whenever I see videos like this, they normally have views in the thousands. I just don't know what it's going to take. The amount of effort that goes into these videos when compared to their results, is just insane.
Like the previous video for example, about supply chains. It died at 35 views. It is not only counting the editing, but I took the time to go into supermarkets and take videos of their shelves.
@@CodeMonkeyMike you working incredibly hard on your vids! Great thumbnails, well written, short intriguing titles, topical. I watch plenty of channels that have a totally negative outlook getting zillions of views. So that's not it. Did you try changing channel names? Did you reveal the Kennedy assassination real story in an earlier vid? I'm starting a youtube channel and your experience is very worrisome. I'm rooting for ya!
@utilityassistance Regarding a reveal of the Kennedy assassination, I have tried to think of it on that note. I ask myself if I spoke about something that I shouldn't have spoken about in an earlier video. But my WellsFargo vid surged to 12k views, my Money Supply vid surged to 3.5k views, and a couple others got over a thousand. So it goes to prove that the channel is not being throttled or shadow-banned.
I know of other people that are having the same problem as me. But their videos are not of the same caliber as mine. It is a puzzle wrapped in an enigma.
When it comes to my channel name, I have thought about changing it, but it would cause me to break away from the monkey theme. It is an integral part of who I am. I was thinking that because I talk a lot about financial topics on this channel, other names like Financial Monkey Mike just wouldn't sound right. The idea that I had about was a Code Monkey who can just make things happen. I have other video ideas around this but I'm not implementing them because of this insane struggle to get at least some views. The worst part is that, now over the last 3 months my videos are performing worse than ever. It is a miracle that this Richard Branson video made it over 100 views because in some cases I can't even get 20 views.
