Original video edited and AI remastered with HQ stereo sound.
"Walk Like a Man" is a song written by Bob Crewe and Bob Gaudio and originally recorded by the Four Seasons.
The song features the counterpoint of Nick Massi's bass voice and the falsetto of lead singer Frankie Valli. It was their third number one hit, initially reaching the top of the Billboard Hot 100 on March 2, 1963, remaining there for three weeks. "Walk Like a Man" also went to number three on the R&B singles chart.
During the sessions that produced the hit recording, the fire department received an emergency call from the Abbey Victoria Hotel (the building that housed the Stea-Phillips Recording Studios). As producer Bob Crewe was insisting upon recording the perfect take, smoke and water started to seep into the studio; the room directly above the studio was on fire, but Crewe had blocked the studio door. He continued recording until firemen used their axes on the door and pulled Crewe out.
The song "Walk Like a Man" is part of The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame's 500 Songs that Shaped Rock and Roll list.

Talent wise, they are one of the best groups in music history.
Talent wise this is some of the best dancing in history
100%
60 years later, still breathtaking
Saw Frankie 4 or 5 years ago and no joke, one of the best concerts I’ve ever been to. Man is 80+ and still sounds virtually the same as he did in the 60s. Amazing

Thank you Frankie for the incredible voice, Bobby for the genius songwriting, Tommy for forming the group, and Nicky for being the unmatchable anchor
They turned out some of the best songs of the era.
Ooh-wee-ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh, ooh-wee
Walk, walk, walk, walk
Ooh-wee-ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh, ooh
Walk like a man
Oh, how you tried to cut me down to size
Tellin' dirty lies to my friends (ooh-ah, ooh-ah, ooh-ah, ooh)
But my own father said give her up, don't bother
The world isn't comin' to an end
(He said)

Loved this group, my wife hated them, still got their albums.
FOR BETTER OR WORSE 'TILL THOSE ALBUMS DO YOU PART"
Born in '84, but remember growing up where ever my dad drove, he always listened to the Golden Oldies... so I had the opportunity to to listen to great music like this. Thanks dad.
Same here, also born in 84. I hated this music growing up, but now I'm thankful for it.
In a era of the beatles british invasion the 4 seasons was solid 🥇 gold
it's time, to bring back that form of music and dancing. People were happier and healthier back then. Agree.
These guys are one of the Best Super Singing Groups to ever grace the pop music scene! I was about ten years old when they performed this gem.
I believe the dance they are doing is the Froog . I learned it back then and when I do it now everybody thinks I'm having a seizure . But them was the days ! ❤😊
They are doing both the Jerk and the Frug.
Oh my gosh, that’s hilarious! Looks ridiculous but fun!
Looks like the please help me I'm constipated dance
Greatest fallesto ever !!!!!
*A true oldie but goldie! 🥇🏆*
RIP, Tommy and Nick.
Words to live by 🎉🎉🎉ICONS FOREVER thank you very much Philadelphia USA 🇺🇸 Nostrovia ❤❤❤
My dad and my mom started to date in 1964 60 years ago still married too
From the Golden age of great music
My mum and dad would play this song all the time when I was little I absolutely loved listening to this one ❤❤❤❤
Brings back great memories, when we had real music.
OMG😮I can't believe I danced like that!😆
Are you familiar with the sacred cows? Groovy guru?
I still do 😖😖
great tune-just before the Beatles and the cultural shift took place. Country Club Casual - clean cut style. In my high school, this was cool. And they stayed cool, even as the long hair British invasion took hold. Greatness lasts.
Well said! Thank you!
Well said and true.
The British Invasion did sink a lot of other performers and bands. But the Four Seasons existed and flourished.
Actually this is 1965 where the action is, 2 me the hippies and 1966 changed the face of music.

My radio volume went up when these guys came on.
when AB came on from 1963 we wood run home from grade school and blast the Zenith BW till sparks from the speaker
I believe this is where the action is.
The kids are dancing to the "jerk", yah that's what the dance was called. Good song!!
For the early 60s this must have been considered very wild.
Yes, recognized it right away. We used to dance the Jerk & the Bristol Stomp at “indoor recess” to 45’s.. 6th grade 65/66! Great memories!
The dancing just cracks me up. I wonder if any of those dancers were ever able to see this video and themselves and if so what they thought.
paid dancers
13 when this played! WoW
The Four Seasons became the first group to have 3 consecutive #1's in the US when "Walk Like A Man" started a three week run at the top.
Ive never heard a falsetto like that before. Incredible. This song is amazing.
Cómo no acordarme de esta hermosa canción si ella me trae los recuerdos de mi barrio Cochabamba, en Jesús María, entre Quito y la 23 de Arnaldo Márquez, sí o no dr. Jaime Ñato.
1996 "Sleepers" brought me here. The ending scene where they all sang the song together had me in tears😢❤
The second dancer shown at the start waving his arms was also in the BYE BYE BIRDIE dance of """GOT A LOTTA LIVIN' TO DO!!!""" and was sitting at a table when ANN MARGRET passed by them!!!! Also seen in many of these 1963 tru 1967 musical tv shows or feature films is that """other""" guy from BIRDIE who has the high pitched voice in the """TELEPHONE HOUR""" segment!!!but don,t have his name☆☆☆☆NOTE= this being 58 years ago makes those DANCING 18 tru 25 YEAR OLDS at least 76 tru 83 by NOW!!!!
I will see Frankie on 4/18 in the Farewell Tour. He turns 90 in May. I hope that Bob Guadio is present.
You are in for a real treat. Saw Valli and Seasons in May of 2023 and it was a great concert.
Such an iconic song...I even used a variation of the title in one of my novels...it fit the chapter.
man like a wok?
@@cautionTosser Close to that, yeah. 🤣
I was born in 63 and I've always loved Frankie !! Till this day 😊
Notice Diana Ross & The Supremes are sitting at a table.
Isn't that cool?
@@smurfstoolsoldiesmusictimemach Very cool!
Mark Lindsay from Paul Revere and the Raiders is sitting and turns toward the camera at the very beginning
@@patriciahill2320haha yeah!
Diana was really enjoying the scene. She was the star from day one.
I like that fact that between the 60s and today's dance is when back in the 60s. The people dance like if they were throwing a baby fit. But today is smooth dance
Big ups to everyone else trying to hit that high note as they sing along
Love Frankies Falsetto, on occassions I have done some of his stuff at Karaokes, but on a scale of 100 on down, (100 being the original pitch) I would have to go down to 93-95.. I'm no hero! (LOL)
🎶🎶🎵 Great memories of our Fabulous Sixties ...♥️🙂♥️
Now I can go be with Jesus. One of my earliest '45s as a little boy, and now I'm seeing them sing it. My life would never have been complete with it. And Elvis Presley "Suspicious Minds", and Hall and Oats "You've Lost That "Loving Feeling". And Probably my very first '45 which I won in Preschool, the "Beatles "Got to Get You Into My Life". Yes, I'm starting to feel old now, and darn proud of it too!
Fantastic captivating song. ❤❤❤
For a lip sync
Another great Four Seasons rocker from 1963!!!! This Band is one of the best and thank you for posting.
Thank you.
It reminds me to the movie "Sleepers" from 1996 ❤🙂👍🏻
Reminds me of learning to march in basic training!
Great time , Great music, Great Stuff.
I use to sing this to my son, 😁 now hes in his 40s 🎉 happy birthday 😊🎂 son . Kathy Hayward
A fantastic group 👍❤️❤️❤️❤️
4 Seasons, loved all there stuff, good to hear them ☺💌🎵🎸🎶
Love this group.
Love the harmony!!!❤
Good song, there are many times we feel downhearted or broken and this song helps us to remember, we can overcome our problems, if we really want to.
Increíble la voz de Frankie 👏👏👏👏
Belated 89th birthday to Frankie!
I was 9yrs old then great music 🎶❤️🧓
This is probly the only band I can still listen to from that Era. Even Steve Perry must be jealous of this guy
What blosw me away is that these guys were so lovely and full of power in the early 60' when the Beatles were still growing pubic hairs. The Beatles didn't invent themselves. The Four Seasons did. McCartney has always been my deity, but he wasn't possible without these guys. Be r3al.
I notice in the video that everyone is wearing a sweater. It was the style back then.
David “Panama” Francis on drums. Extremely underrated.
The guys dancing are doing the "stricken chicken"
Thank You for the Great Sound Recording❣️🎵🎶🇨🇦
1 0f me alltyme,Fav's. ROCK ON
listening to this on the juke at Marsh's in Elmwood Park, ILL. senior year in high school...
Simply awesome.!!
I wish my generation danced like this lol. Looks fun
During the 1960s there was a new dance style invented
every six months.
I’m still busting those moves
Love this song xxx
That is most cool and good ole music-very talented group
This was one of the fav sing along when I had a better falsetto voice (I was 17 when this was new and I can still get to that note today at 76, might be my clarinets I'm playing now after rebuilding?)
Wow this was song was made almost 60 years ago and it still sounds amazing today. Incredible. Unfortunately all four of these guys have probably passed 😔.
Nope Frankie still touring!

I just realized Like me from the teen beach movie definitely took inspiration from this song
Great song!💃❤️🕺
Always had what made them different from the rest. Memories.
I was a little under 2 when this sing came out . 😅
A message to all men !
A message to ALL people. Don't let ANYONE walk all over you. Male OR female.
Wonderful black and white video of a great band.
Fantastic music
2023
this song came out in 1963 but this film was made in 1965.
Mark Lindsey sitting at the first table panned before the song begins. Sans his Raiders outfit.
I love Frankie Valli
They don't make them like they used to.
I dig the clothes… 😊
Who else pictured Mrs. Doubtfire walking, carrying a bouquet of flowers and a grocery bag...
guy in middle dancing looks like 50's sci-fi monster
Thank you
Keep smiling for godsake 😂,
Hey, it's the Mayor of Munchkinland!
Gene, what's happening?
Yes Bob, I'm at Brodie Mountain where Aprés-ski has gone terribly, terribly wrong.
I'm pretty sure at least one person said this here.
Frankie, *SING LIKE A MAN!!!*

Ja, mit 11, 12 Jahren ging die Post noch ab!
Good stuff
This is the best song and it’s shown and sang the best in the movie heart and souls. The best movie. Check it out. Also, it also has Tom sizemore who just passed away.
Maravilhoso 🥰🥰🥰
Have to watch The Wanderers everytime i hear this tune...
Another great drum intro by Panama Francis.
I always thought it was Buddy Saltzman ?
@@STUCATZOMARINE Francis also did the intro to big girls don’t cry
@@STUCATZOMARINE He did the drums on Dawn and Rag Doll
Michael McDonald said the Doobs took this drum groove to create the rhythm track for What A Fool Believes 🤣
Best thing about living back then is that you didn’t need to know how to dance
Yr an idiot if u believe that best thing about living back than no one wanted to be black 😂😂
