- Made from 2 sheets of 9mm ply and scrap wood found around the garage, our removable pods were very cheap to build - under £150 which includes the rubber mat boot protector, hinges, magnets, foam for the mattress, black felt and silver insulation.. The blue fabric was recycled and the drawer tray was made from the board of a broken cross fire game.
There is just enough space in the foot well under the bed head to fit the portaloo and the cool box fits behind the taller pod, leaving plenty of room to get in and out of the side door.
Bedding and clothes fit nicely in the back pod whilst chair, blinds and tarp fit in the other. We use the taller pod as a kitchen for the cooker, washing up bowl, tins and crockery etc.

The tarp over the open rear hatch deserves more credit. I’ve been watching vanlife and car camping videos for years and have never seen that. Kudos
Thanks. But to be honest it wasn't that successful☹️ the magnets weren't strong enough in the wind. We have now repurposed and old tent canopy and peg it In the ground. It gives us more space too when we're at a festival😁xx

Thanks 😊 we've now changed the DIY tarp awning to an adapted tent awning which stays put when the wind blows😂 better for festivals as it gives us more room.

This is great and this is the real future. Soon nobody will have a home. I refuse to work like a slave to give 50% of my income to a landlord.

I love this already, if it has a toilet and solar shower (if not, I can do this), I am so in love with this simple plan.

My first campervan was inspired by this video as I’ve mentioned to you already.
My partner and myself want to start a bigger van conversation and found a great source of inspiration on an other CZcams channel. I commented on how much we liked their work and said I had the same fairy lights. Apparently the young lady is your daughter! Karma or what 😊

Very nice arrangement. Simple and more than adequate. I’m here in US so don’t know a Berlingo. It went by so fast I couldn’t really study anything without rewinding and playing many times.
I’d like to know your inside Deminsions, particularly from floor to ceiling. Glad you had depth for a loo.
