Not sure why there is not a huge number of positive comments on here - might be something to do with the lack of search optimization that Pump n Seal have done on CZcams. I have had my Pump n seal for over 17 years and I use it everyday ! In fact I have 3 of them plus I have given them away as gifts. I keep one permanently in my RV and one in my kitchen and a spare. They have always worked flawlessly until a few weeks ago when the RV one stopped working - turns out the nut holding the washer inside the tube came adrift - anyway I was able to fix it and get it working again but if I had to replace it I would have not hesitated to do so - their cost is very reasonable. I use it to keep ground coffee fresh both in jars (ideal jars are the pasta sauce jars and mason jars) and tins (using the bowl seals). I use it to vacuum seal boxes of crackers to avoid them absorbing humidity and going stale - that extends their life to months. I use it to store sugar in jars (in my RV) and nuts. I use the pump n seal bags to extend the cheese life considerably, and I also use it to vacuum seal fresh vegetable and fruit juices when I make them. Like others I did buy the electric vacuum sealer and all the attachments for hundreds of dollars and ended up selling it as it was cumbersome and did not achieve a vacuum anywhere near what the pump n seal does. Note: there is a BIG difference between putting food into an airtight container - which is what most people are doing - and vacuum sealing it in a container. I am not exaggerating when I say I use it everyday and the biggest plus I have found in recent years was the introduction of the pump n seal bags - I hate throwing out food because it has gone stale or moldy - but that never happens with foods that are able to be vacuum sealed. This item is one of the most under-rated appliances available for the kitchen. (and NO I have absolutely no affiliation with the owners - I don't even know their name)
@@juliemarr65 Where do you get the little seal tabs when you run out? The little tape sticker that covers the hole, where do you get extra ones of those? Thanks anybody ❣️🌿🐦🏡
@@jude7321 You can order extra tabs from the website. They are also reusable. I bought a bunch of extras after I ordered mine back in 2010 (when I didn't think the company would last) and I still have a ton left.
I have had my Pump-N--Seal for about 30 years and have used it thousands of times! Don't know what I'd do without it! Don't know how much they cost now, but bet it's still well worth the purchase!
This is one of the handiest gadgets I ever had! I'm a high-tech sort of guy, but sometimes a simple, low-tech solution works best. I'm delighted to see I can still buy one of these, since mine was lost in a move.
I also can't live without it. Don't have a big family, so jars of sauce, gravy, etc. will go to waste after one meal if I don't have that same meal within a couple days. Being able to re-vac these jars of food has saved a lot of money over the years. I have also vacced cleaned sterling jewelry and small soft obects such as my grandmother's embroidered handkerchiefs in bags. I can buy in bulk and seal in Mason jars for a long time.
I can vouch for the Pump n Seal. Going to the website is like going back in time, though. I have a feeling they haven't manufactured these things in decades but just have a warehouse full of them. EDIT: Since my original comment they have updated the website. It seems homesteaders and off-the-grid types have sparked a renewed interest in the product. They now offer plastic bags with a valve, which is nice to see because the old method shown in this video never worked for me.
The Pump-n-Seal has saved me more than the cost of the tool. Canned cat food would spoil quickly and become slightly rank. Then my stupid cat would not eat leftover cat food, making much waste. I now open a can of cat food, feed the cat, and then take the remainder of the cat food and put it in a jar with the Pump-N-Seal tab. I Pump-N-Seal the jar and remove air. Now the stupid cat does eat week old cat food that is stored this way. I recommend this tool. Of course I use it to seal my food as well.
I have my pump n seal almost for 15 year or more, it's still live and kicking, but I can find new tabs, I was trying to build some home mades, but doesn´t work as fine as I wish, great product, great results, great save!!!
I totally forgot we own this thing! I used it a few times when we originally purchased it 21 years ago but then put it in the cupbard and forgot about it. Now I'm wishing I would have remembered it to seal up our freezer bags to keep food longer.
LOL he threw away the applesauce but put the moldy strawberries back in the fridge. He knows he's going to wash them then off and put them in his smoothie tomorrow.... busted.
I bought one in the 90's and I got it to seal but it didn't stay sealed. Does anyone have any Ideas as to what I have done wrong? Maybe I got defective tabs? Any help would be appreciated, think you.
Make sure that the jar you use has the circular rubber-like thingy on the inside of the lid. It won't work with every jar. Also, I never had any luck using it with plastic bags.
Also, if you want it to last as long as possible, once the vacuum is pulled, put a piece of aluminum tape over the entire tab check. It will be somewhat hard to remove the tape later, but again, this is only if you trying to store something for a very long time.
Not sure why you guys decided not to send me the pin needed to vacuum seal jars. Makes the whole thing more difficult to use, now I gotta go buy something that will work to punch holes in my canning lids. I can't even use it for it's intended purpose until I spend more money on something else!
I wish I could be more positive as I love the idea. But I bought one and it's hopeless. The pump seems to have lost its suction, and the handle/rod part came out of the tube in my hand. Before it broke, the few seals I made leaked and the tamper seal on the jar's lid popped up. Big disappointment.

We are excited to get ours and start using it😁
I just my 2 orders from Anazon. I'm excited to use it to save & preserve food. I wonder if I can save oil too.

@@jude7321 Search for "pump and seal tab check valve roll" They range in price, but are perhaps as little as $0.10 per tab.

They're back in stock - I've been waiting for a year! I just got my pump n seal in yesterday. Now I want to buy a bunch of baby jars for my spices
SQUEEEEE!!!!! I loved this infomercial when I was a kid!!! (I was a weird kid)
Gosh, I did too and now I think this huckster would have been a better president than the huckster we got!
I got you both beat, I even remembered his name without searching - Joe Fowler.

Where can I purchase this pump and sealer?
W-Mart, and the A online store.

Call the company. I just received mine from Amazon and all parts arrived. 👍
Just use any stick pin that would be used on a bulletin board.
What are you talking about? Just use a push pin.
