@@organbuilder272 If you want 10 things happening in the same time every 10 secs for 6 minutes, go listen to Bach or something. The Doors are different than that. They are just jamming and you can clearly see it. I think Ray cares more about the feeling than for the variety of musical figures here, so, you know, if you don't like it, you don't have to listen to it. Everyone has his own taste in music.

I like the fact that they focus not only in Jim but in the others too. Sometimes, sadly, Morrison's shadow eclipses the figure of the other three: Robby, John and Ray. I think this version bring Justice to what The Doors actually was: a great team, a perfect work for four marvellous musicians.

The Doors were everything Huxley wrote about. They were the doorway from the 60’s to the 70’s. Jim was a poet. He lived in an aura. The very best live short lives because they sacrifice themselves.
Ray was an incredible musician. I still miss him. The backbone of the band. John and Robby were just the best in their own right. The combination of the four is legend.
Their timing was immaculate, not just in music but in the transition of an era. Some people say what if Jim had lived. The music they made in those four years was their lives. It was a gift to ours.

I love how each member is itchin to come in to showcase their section. They were really on point here. Beautiful brew.
Densmore is the consummate drumming machine. Millisecond accurate. Really enjoyed the spot where they broke into, "My favorite things".

"The Doors," in all their glory. And, Jim is focussed, and each and every one of them absolutely "superb" in their own right, and they were a very powerful force that shattered the mundane consciousness.

How does one rock band pull all this off >>> Dreamy, dark, melodic, heavy, mesmerizing, spiritually moving, challenging to any hard rock band, sexy, the beautiful singing voice of a generation, brilliant compositions, extremely popular and equally troubling, music even more revealing on pot, just puts one in awe especially back in the great years of the 60s and 70s. The Doors were such talented musicians who played beautiful music. Morrison was a troubled soul but sang with such beauty in his voice. Lucky are those who felt this.

@Shaun Watson Sorry, not really. He was into alcohol and dabbled with LSD for a while but not in his recordings. He also smoked some pot but it was negligible, he gave it up in his last couple of years. His drinking, on the other hand, was legendary. But no amount of drugs or alcohol can produce talent and a beautiful voice.

How true. Most groups today merely repeat the same thing over and over to utterly boring notes making an effort to sound like music.
