The Android version seems to be based on the DS one. I wasn't aware of that. The PSP version certainly doesn't look like a basic port.

The iOS and Android versions are the only versions that do not have dynamic shadows
Personally the ds version is the most fun one do to the use of the touch screen, the psp is fun for its new missions, the android/ios versions are good for their graphics, mine is the ds version.

CTW on PSP is visually better.
CTW on Android is a middle ground, but the most accessible version.
I'd honestly dump the Android port and emulate the PSP or DS port on the go.

The DS is the version with the least detailed graphics, but still really good for what it is, in my opinion

PSP has by far the best lighting but the Android version has much better 3D structures. I’ll give DS credit for having more vehicles, etc.
i grew up with the ds version so i vave a little bias, but the android version looks like the perfect blend between psp and ds
PSP is more 5 missions from Melanie but also no Melanie's missions for DS and Android/IOS versions

My favorite was the ds one
It has a feel that i love and the touch mechanic was used amazingly
The PSP version has better graphics, but the Nintendo DS version is not so bad when played on the DS small screen, the game looks really nice on the handheld, I also consider the DS version better because of the touch puzzles screen plus at the time you could put the DS version in the social club and receive extra missions in addition to being able to play online with friends.
Had a guy in school with a DS, it felt fun, but other formats are cool as well. DS just sat right in the hands, and the way graphics are subdued looked nice

Psp is better and good looking version because psp has shadows and Android and ds doesn't have. If you want to play this game then use psp emulator in your phone and play 2 to 3x resolution and then see the graphics.
Android one is more colourful and pleasant to eyes

Android: Best resolution.
DS: Gameplay is the best.
Eventhough graphics on the DS aren't good, they look way better on the system itself cause of the screen size and resolution and it's amazing how they managed to adapt a full GTA that's very entertaining and fun af on the DS's line, childhood memories 😁🙌
Finally im glad you understand since alot of people thinks game looks bad on ds and psp but when you actually play it on system you wont notice those things i have played it psp and it looked amazing.

@@jaswanthkumar8365 i know its just i dont like it. what i hate most is graphical issues and bugs and most annyoing thing is when your frames drop in a game sound will be very choppy only way to avoid is frameskip. But wont help and frameskip makes game so laggy

Mobile: nice graphics, textures and resolution

Mobile Chinatown Wars is probably the definitive version, it has good graphics like the PSP version and has the touch controls like the DS version.

PSP, the atmosphere is just different
First time I played it was on the psp when I was like 13 I bought it myself it's was great now I'm 25 and have it on android the psp had the perfect slightly origami look to it and nice lighting effects on cars but the android looks way more clean .
I had it originally for the ds and am just now seeing gameplay for psp and android and they both look soo much better 😂

This was my all time favorite game so many memories with it and I loved the drug stuff and I loved the game so much on my psvita because it gave me a gta4 vibe and I also loved gta4. And as someone who played the ds psp and mobile version the psp one looks the best in my opinion.
the drug minigames had me put more time into them just tryna buy/sell and not get busted in the random set ups and making money/moving between stash houses, u can make dealing a full time job if u want! and i had fun once i got into it cuz based on the location of the meet u can set up a getwaway route ahead of time so if its one of the 1/8 buys thats an undercover you have a way out etc...they couldve fleshed that out into its own smaller game/app imo...its literally the 'drug wars' game from graphing calculators/palm pilots back in the day but fleshed out haha so simple but so addictive
ngl, ctw feels underrated story-wise
imagine if they remastered GTA IV and added a DLC with CTW's story

I like the Android version because the cell-shading graphics make this game more unique than it already is.
I dont ever remember the DS version looking like that. From my memory, it felt more crisp like the PSP. Maybe my memory is wrong.

PSP version is by far the best. Emulated on ppsspp looks beautifull. And Has shadows ... Android version is just high resolution NDS version with less effects ... And i buyed it years ago and nie im playing PSP version... Soo much better

i remeber as a 6 year old on my ds playing this commiting the most heinous acts using the tank good old times.
Android version Graphics are good but the shadows are missing.
Ok now it makes sense why someone ported the android version to Vita despite the PSP port being native on it.
I prefer NDS version but I play it in my phone using DraStic emulator instead in the real DS.

@@jaswanthkumar8365 As someone who grew up on the actual ds version and not emulation, even though it has better shading and lighting effects with the models having actual shadows, the Android with the control on the minigame feels more natural.
I played the android version first as it was better graphically but then I played the PSP version and I can tell you I liked the PSP version better, Gloomy atmosphere gives you the GTA IV vibe and also the exclusive missions which comes with the PSP version
only issue with the android one is that the driving view angle seems a lil too top down vs the vita one (which i had) allowing u to see whats in front of u better - but am i the only one who spent WAY more time just being a drug dealer using the in game economy/minigame and stash houses to make money etc than actually doing the missions...that couldve been its own spin off!

Yellow tones of the PSP capture more the GTA 4 vibe but I prefer the Android res

PSP version, emulated at 2x on PPSSPP. Hardware requirements are so low it can be played on a mildly overclocked Pi 4, but has all the beauty of the PSP version in a higher resolution. And is a better experience than playing on a handheld...or worse, a phone with no buttons.
As much as people love original hardware, sometimes...playing a game emulated is the definitive experience.
And playing in 3d high definition setting in the ds version in the drastic ds emulator turns it into a remaster for the ds version and it's cool.

Not always, there´s games that can have problems while emulated, and the experience as much as some people can debate, is not 100% autentic to the original hardware.
It's so weird because they don't necessarily look graphically better or worse, they just have different styles

Why Congnosenti in DS version look like Congnosenti from GTA IV, but in other car look another?
My two favorite things in this game:
1) drug dealing
2) Deadmau5 radio
At least in PSP version the world objects cast shadows and you have reflections eg. on cars, unlike DS and Android versions which look like cartoon
If only it could be on the switch but since it has drug it may never come back i feel it be rockstar showing that they do not care about what people think just the fans of the games they work to create

Graphically the phone version is the best. When it comes to the most interesting way the DS is the one. I would say personally the most enjoyable is the psp. Plus what this video doesn’t show is that the psp version has extra missions the others don’t.

Ds has much smaller screen then any of these so it won’t look that bad

Was disappointed by android's colour tone and other changes, as it looks great but is ruined by unnecessary change. A shame cause the Vita controls are so tiny, Razor Kishi better.

Personally I prefer the DS/Android artstyle over the yellowish PSP one.
I guess that's opposite, PSP is more dark and similar to GTA 3 by vibe, therefore DS and Android version are both more warm and beautiful

Just my luck. I have the DS version, the worst graphics according to what your video shown. I remember that I had a working psp when it came out and could have bought it but didn't cause the top down camera on gta3 gave me motion sickness from the fast rotation of the camera and i thought this would be the same thing, but then I got the DS version a while ago and it wasn't that bad. I really miss the psp but I have 2 that kept malfunctioning and the batteries kept dying after 2 months. I even bought a used red one that was broke for $75 and was broke and paid another $75 to repair. That was the second and last one i bought. Too bad no 3rd party makes one cause I really liked the games I had. I still have some of them but don't know if I should keep them and to buy a used one today is something like $300! I am too poor for those prices.
