Dusan.
An OUTSTANDING kit!!! I didn't think that Academy made such a detailed kit, and your additional weathering made it ... Most EXCELLENT!!!
Thanks for posting!!!
That anti-slip was genius! Another beautifully built model. I’m shooting for about a fifth your level of quality and still failing, but I’m having fun and learning more after watching each of your videos. Thank you for taking the time!
John, thank you very much! You are too kind. All the best! Dusan.
Thank you and Plasmo for those videos. i've improved my skills so much thanks to you guys, because you show how to build and paint beautiful models with simple tools ans tips ( in most of the case ). Keep going ! :D

You do really nice work my friend, I thoroughly enjoy your videos. Tanks for sharing!!
After watching this i went and bought the kit its exellent.
That is a very impressive build!👍
Fantastic job! Looks great 👍
What a spectacular finish.
EVERYBODY ...mixes 2 or 3 paints to make the tarnished rust look on tracks ! TRY Tamiya XF-9...HULL RED ! Its soooo much easier and you get the same results without ALL the mixing. I use it on all my tracks and get great results. Give it a try !
Если честно, то я ни разу не видел ржавых траков (tracks) на действующих танках. Траки (tracks) ржавеют если машина стоит без движения года два.
@@K29Loki could'nt you just write it in english? So that everybody knows what you mean? Aber das ist wahrscheinlich zuviel verlangt...
@@danielkonrad1444
To be honest, I did not see rusty tracks on existing tanks. Trucks, if the car stands without moving for two years.
That's better? I do not know English and translated by Google.
I love to watch your videos. Your precision, your skill is awesome.
Хорошая модель. Замечательная работа. Прекрасное видео

Thank You! All the best! Dusan.
Stumbled upon this video - I know nothing about building kits - I just know that this is one of the tanks we used when I was serving in the IDF during the 90s. Magach - means Ram in Hebrew. Batash is an abbreviation of "Bitachon Shotef" - routine security - a tank for daily tasks, and Gal probably means the name of the platoon. :)
From a fellow(tanker) IDF soldier: Gal is the name of the ballistic fire control computer, Gal is the prototype version of the Merkava Mk-3 computer which is called "Baz".
It's true that the direct translation of the abbreviation "Batash" is routine security, but the meaning of it is exactly the opposite of daily tasks, the "Batash" tanks had improved 3rd generation composite armor and they were designed to be in the front line in case of a war scenario and in "routine security" tasks they were the preferred types to be used when crossing the border in Lebanon or Gaza, so exactly the opposite of daily tasks, when a tank was needed to perform a dangerous task, these tanks were the preferred type if available, that's why in the 90s during the Israeli presence in Lebanon, they weren't called "Batash" but rather "Kasag" that meant "Kav Sagol", the name for the Israeli northern border with Syria and Lebanon.
Merkava Mk-2 and 3 also have Batash / Kasag versions that can be identified by the extra armor compared to their regular versions, most of the MK-3 on the regular service from the late 90s and beyond were the Batash versions so most tankers might considered the Batash version as the regular one, but I'm sure that in the reserves there are still the pre-upgrade ones.
By the way, you are right about the name Magach meaning to ram or ramming, most people thinks it's the abbreviation of "Merkevet Giborey Chail", which is not.

Beautiful job !!
Great job pal !
Stunning work mate top job
that part at 6:04 was seriously not clear where to put in the instructions, good thing there's you vid!
Beautiful 😍
You should a merkava next, pls make a merkava next
I really do enjoy your videos, very entertaining and some great work. Thank you fro sharing it with us. Neal
My only complaint was a that the lower “Bathtub” hull is molded is still molded like the older Tamiya/Academy M60 models, whereas Takom and Meng mold the tub as a true 1-piece mold, instead of molding the top portion of thf hull, where the return rollers are separately; it requires a lot of extra work to glue and putty the lower hull so it looks seamless.
I’ve built two M60s (both Tamiya) and that part of the hull is a bit annoying to me.
Great show!
Excellent!!! Thanks for the tips.
Beautiful
Well done !! Very good video. Thank you.

Schönes Wochenende noch und LG aus Wien
Mario M. Vielen Dank! Dieses Modell hat ungefähr zwei Wochen in Anspruch genommen. Herzlichen Gruß Dusan
Very nice build
Excellent work as always
Your videos are truly amazing
Is there a chance to show as how you do the video? How you set up etx
Thank You! Maby in the future. All the best! Dusan.
Awesome build...
Great vid!
Can you elaborate on the use of that metal primer a little bit more?
Thanx
Thanks! Well, I am using the Mr. Metal primer for PE-parts and in this video for aluminium foil . Sometimes the paint can peel of the metal parts, alternative is to use laquer primer GSI/Tamiya...
All the best! Dusan.
Wow!
So you use 3 different types of glue, Revell contacta, Tamyia extra thin and another. What purpose does each one serve, and how is it different to the other two?
Like the Mndrake and Joaquind wrote, I am using many types of glue, I dont want to reject any product. The Tamiya Extra thin and Mr. Cement S are excellent glues for fuselage, wings... (the Tamiya extra thin is also very good for small parts) Mr. Deluxe is more like the regular Tamiya Cement with the white cap with more resin inside. Revell contacta cement is my favorite becouse of the very strong joint when it is 100% dry.
All the best! Dusan.

What did you use mr hobby metal primer ?
Is that new ?
Thanks Rene, well the primer is not very new. You can find it in the 40ml bottle and in the spray can 100ml. * I am using the Mr. Metal primer for PE-parts and in this video for aluminium foil . Sometimes the paint can peel of the metal parts, alternative is to use laquer primer GSI/Tamiya... *
All the best! Dusan.

I tried enamel wash on a coat of Klear and the wash destroyed it and became stuck in the paint layer.

한국사람인가요?
뭐야 한국사람이었어요? 아님 한국산 모델인가?
I have never seen a modern tank that is in service with such rusted tracks or heavy weathering. Most tanks in active service look pretty clean and well maintained, for good reason, no NCO worth his salt would let a vehicle in his charge ever get to looking that bad. Is this a "model" thing to bring out highlights or an attempt to look realistic? Because most tanks I have seen IRL are no where close to the heavy weathering I see on models. As an example, I have seen destroyed tanks in Afghanistan, that have been there 30 years that don't look as rusted as I have seen some modelers make their tanks. These models do look cool though.
I've served on that tank and you are right, tracks on tanks in active service will definitely won't have rust on them since any link that have any rust on it will be replaced, to be honest I don't even remember any links that got rust on them at all, anyway, but the tracks can have dirt/mud/sand on them, so I think the paint job is more realistic than keeping the tracks black, since I haven't seen any tank and definitely haven't served on one with black tracks which is only a paint job they do on museums..
Oh no my trypophobia is kicking in
Just a comment for the algorithm
Ist der mr cement deluxe gut ?
Ja ist gut
You got that right nothing but the best
Very good, similar to the Tamiya Cement 40ml with the white cap.
All the best! Dusan.
