The first mistake wingers usually do wrong is only learning one skill move for beating the defender. Football skills are extremely important to learn for every winger, and if you only know one way of beating your defender in a 1 vs 1 situation, the defender will be able to anticipate your next move and get an advantage over you. The second common mistake for wingers is playing yourself to a dead-end: you get the ball, start dribbling without looking up - and all of a sudden, you're surrounded by 5 opponents. Learn how to scan the pitch before receiving the ball and don't be afraid to occasionally pass the ball backwards in order to keep possession of the ball within your team. And lastly, unfortunately a lot of wingers lack the quality of anticipating in all stages of the game. Football consist of defending, attacking and the quick transition period between the two - and unfortunately many young wingers lack discipline and don't recover quickly after losing the ball. yeah but this is tutorial for the young winger, as you get older it changes, it depends on your coach system and what position suits you to compliment your game. You have the inside forwards, the classical wingers, the attacking midfielders, the crossing wingers, the hold up wingers. All this does not matter who this guy says until your midfielder finds you because many midfielders tend to pass the ball through the strikers instead of distributing to their wingers because they suck at passing overall.

Why play a winger who gets the ball to the danger zone by himself? It is because if you put a winger who does like to drive the ball to the danger zone if you don't then you are lacking direct play. You don't want to play a winger who likes to pass the ball back to the midfielder and recycle the play. Barcelona are infamous and Arsenal as well and that causes players to get lazy, pass backwards and sideways and less chances for goals scored, hence why today we are seeing less teams integrate Tikki Takka and more counter or hybrid. In fact if you are reading this, the #1 mistake midfiedlers make and what sperates a bad midfielder to a great midfielder is, midfielder make the mistake when they are on the attack or transition attack, they opt the easy way out of finding their fullbacks instead of giving the through ball or switch play to their winger, doing this will make it soo much easier for the fullback to over lap and have more pace on the attack. Kill it to the ball even if you think itâs going out
Always stay on the attack
Look for spaces when your team gets the ball
Be aware of where everyone is on both teams
Know the position weâll be where you need to be to make your teams plays work
Know your teams plays well
Make sure your teammates know your habits and make sure you know theirs.
Once you lose the ball donât instantly abandon you position to go get it back. If they take the ball and havenât passed run them into your team mates be aware you still have other people who have your back. Usually the midfielders are there to back you up if you canât get forward pass backwards
YOU DONT HAVE TO JUST SPRINT DOWN THE LINE if you have no options take a small pause make people move in closer to create space then make the clean pass or the switch.
Iâm not the most skill player but I do all of this stuff and itâs helped me be successful over players with more talent and skill than me. Be a smart player and nourish you skills.

robben moves freely around the pitch
as a winger, i always make a move where i act like iâm going inside but then i cut outside. it works the first few times in the game and then the defenders start to recognize it as predictable and then i end up getting frustrated. this video is for sure gonna help me not make that mistake again lmao

See messi sometimes scores a solo goal but multiple mistakes can be found at that moment unlike not passing to his teammates etc but seeing him doing this becomes talent so football has no description.

@@balu8426 na dude..Not a right wing or a right back..If you have a strong right foot..then Left winger..left back or LM would be likely..Cause that stupid boy doesn't know anything.. Having a strong right foot and shooting with your right foot from the right side would make no sense..The ball curls inwards making it easier for the keeper to catch..Shoot from the left and let the ball curls inwards..

I thought that all this would be stuff I didnât do and needed to do as a winger but I already do all these things
