Adding WAY MORE POKEMON To Super Smash Bros!

- With rumors of the Nintendo Switch's successor on the horizon, a new Super Smash Bros. game is inevitable, and with that comes new Pokemon. What if we could break the mold beyond the usual starters and Legendaries from the most recent generation though? That's what we're looking at today in the finale of this miniseries that looks at EVERY single Pokemon as a Smash 6 candidate.

Thanks for watching! This is the finale to a 2-part series going over every single Pokemon from Bulbasaur to Pecharunt as a Smash candidate, check below for a link to part 1 as well as any corrections the comments pointed out.
Part 1: czcams.com/video/S5XYKrED6I8/video.html
Corrections:
-Accelgor and Greninja aren't actually from the same generation, I got my wires crossed there because they both learn Water Shuriken.
-Haxorus isn't a pseudo-Legendary apparently? That one caught me way off guard lol.
-Similarly catching me off guard: TOGEPI AND XATU ARE BOTH GEN 2 WHAT?!?!?
-My description of how Brine works was incorrect, it triggers when the opponent loses health.
-I referred to Eternatus as "Scarlet and Violet's big bad," which was obviously a slip up given that all the footage used comes from Sword and Shield lol

Hey I think you meant to make another correction and move dunsparce from the "You Know What, Just Take 'Em Out of Pokemon As Well" category
I hope you expect this to be controversial.
another correction, eternatus is from sword and shield, not scarlet and violet
@@toby_steves Yep, that was straight up misspeaking, good catch, I've added it
watching dodrio carry around items using the other two heads as arms would be hilarious
I like the idea of an idle carry animation where the two "arm" heads are kinda fighting over the item you picked up.
Y'know, I never really thought about it before, but Golurk really is just Potemkin from Guilty Gear, huh.
No
He’s Potemkin and more, since Golurk can lock into the ground with its hands and become a cannon and also can freely rotate its upper torso and shoulders like ROB or The Iron Giant which allows for a lot of fun animation potential

On the last part, as a Pokken player, I explained how it adapts each Pokemon in that vid into a traditional fighting game character, so i'm doing the same for part 2!
*BRAXIEN* : Pokken does give her Light Screen as an anti projectile tool, but otherwise she's quite a bit different then your proposal! In Pokken, Braixen is a fairly versatile character with both strong zoning and projectile tools with Psybeam (slow, paired projectiles fired at many angles), Fire spin (a lingering ground hazard), Fire blast (a HUGE fireball) and flamethrower (big disjointed anti air) to keep the enemy away and locked down, alongside some other misc projectiles; but also is quite capable of playing a strong game in mid and close range with moves that use her wand for large hitboxes, and flame charge as a great midair advancing hitbox. What makes her REALLY unique though is that she can cancel her moves into calling Support Pokemon, and has tools to build Support Meter faster, such as with Sunny Day. One of the best characters in the game, top tier!
*SUICUNE* : Suicune really doesn't have any gimmicks, and it's just a relatively down to earth, basic zoning character that's also capable of playing a decent mid range and close up game, ironically I guess a bit like Braixen: Ice Beam, Hydro Pump, Aurora Beam, and Blizzard are all long to mid range laser like projectiles at different angles, while Hail can be used to rain hazards from above at different positions, and Icy Wind as a slow, lingering projectile to use for screen/stage control. The... tail ribbons(?) can be used for mid range pokes and hits, and Suicuine can use those, it's big head shield, and it's hind legs for some impressive juggle combos. Perhaps the best tool in Suicune's kit is it has one of the best Focus/Counter attacks in the game, which actually can be extended with optional followup hits, can be used as an anti air, etc. Considered one of the weaker characters, low tier, but as I said last vid, Pokken is quite balanced and many a top 8 and Grand Finals have been won by Allister with Suicune!
*WEAVILE* : My main! Weavile is a speedy mobile rushdown character, but is also great at playing hit-and-run like a brat, scurrying away to waste time and zone before getting right back in your face! Great at getting in with fast walk/dash speeds, tools to to bypass and hit through projectiles, plus long range advancing pokes. Once up close, he's got great frame data, can loop his blockstring combos with Fake Out and mixes in cancels and armor piercing moves to hit ya if you think you got an opening, and can even steal meter and depower the foe's burst state. On defense, Taunt is an amazing counter that activates on frame 1, gives you total invulnerability that can be held for a whole second, and can even cancel it into block with zero openings instead of unleashing the counter hit! His most unique element though is: Icicle Crash he can use it as a midair platform to waste time (this + taunt are great for time-out wins!), then fire it as a projectile at different angles (to zone/play keepway) which launches him in different directions, allowing him to change momentum or leap past/over projectiles, and use his unique fastfall to drop to the ground and start a combo in a split second. He also gains meter stupid fast like Lucario and Shadowtwo: Widely considered to have the tools for Top Tier, but doesn't actually have many high event placements
*CHANDELURE* : THE Projectile heavy zoner in Pokken! Like Peacock in Skullgirls, Chandelure floods the screen with fire lasers, slow moving ghostly fireballs, fireworks, and other projectiles all at different angles and speeds. Many of Chandelure's moves inflict debuffs on the enemy, and as you're trying to avoid getting hit by Chandy's projectiles, she'll try to grab you with Hex, a long range grab that does more damage the more debuffs you have, sort of like what was proposed in these videos for Banette. However, she sort of sucks up close due to poor frame data (though all of her specials do pierce armor), with her only real fallback being the admittedly devastating Overheat, which beats both grabs, armors through other attacks, and pierces armor itself, at the cost of giving herself a debuff. She's also got mid range disjointed moves where she unfurls her chandelier arms into tentacles. Mid to high tier, great character.
*EMPOLEON* : Actually, NOT slow heavy brusier in Pokken like you said it is! Empoleon is actually a mixup character and zoning character a lot of mobility tools and options! He's got some long range beams and interesting projectiles to catch you from a distance, but can then rush to you to follow up on any openings: Aqua Jet is a fullscreen dash with a hitbox that can zoom you across the entire stage, and has multiple followup and cancellable options with different properties, many of which (Surf, Cut, Waterfall, etc) still maintain momentum. Hydro Cannon is another move that blasts Empoleon towards the enemy with a hitbox, and most uniquely, Empoleon has multiple moves which leave ice on the ground, which gives Empoleon an Ice-Skating state that allows him to glide over the ground or twirl into the air at interesting angles. Empoleon is also the king of dealing chip damage through blocking! Lower end of low tier, but still has some results.
And the characters already in Smash:
*CHARIZARD* : I'm actually not sure how Charizard works in Smash, but there are shared moves: Flare Blitz is a powerful advancing mid range option. amd unlike in Smash, you can do followups from it even on block (though it is vulnerable to being i-framed through height states). Charizard also has some aerial mobility and juggle options, like normals that move him up into the air, and a glide state. He's also got many moves with long disjointed hitboxes thanks to his tail and fire breath, so's fairly threatening at mid range, and Seismic toss is a devastating command grab. After Machamp, he's the closest thing to a big body grappler/heavy hitter that slowly and threateningly inches closer, but Zard has more mobility and approaching tools then that archetype implies. Lower mid, upper low tier, solid character.
*LUCARIO* : A literal shoto character, with a Hadoken like fireball in Asua Sphere, an advancing multi hit move like Tatsumaki in Bone Rush (which is a laser bone staff like in the anime!) and a Shoryuken-esque rising invincible reversal in Extremespeed. He's a generalist that does a bit of everything, so not much to cover. But he does get meter fast, and in burst as Mega Lucario, does get enhanced versions of a few of his moves, making it so that he's a bit of an Install character, but not as much as Gengar is with his Burst/Mega, since the latter changes more and requires more planning to enter burst. Great character, high, maybe even top tier.
*PIKACHU & PIKACHU LIBRE* : Another generalist character like Lucario! However, Pikachu is a bit more high mobility thanks to both literal movement speed, and moves which can bounce Pikachu around towards the enemy (including with an active grab hitbox with Nuzzle) or in midair, many of which can be canceled out of. Libre has some of those same elements with high/tricky mobility, but she's more of a mixup and grappler character, getting buffs off of grabs, being able to jump off of stage walls, and having a trio of both combo starting, armored, and command grab options keeping the enemy guessing as she has you in the corner: Big salt inducer! Kira FR's matches with Pikachu and Libre in the 2022 Worlds LCQ ("2022 Pokémon World Championships | Pokkén Tournament Day 1" on CZcams) are AMAZING examples of high level Pokken play where Kira seamlessly transitions between using their mobility options and doing close up offensive play. Pika is solidly mid tier, Libre high to top.
*MEWTWO & SHADOW MEWTWO* : Two VERY different characters. Mewtwo is a generalist, tho with more pressure tools then Pika or Lucario, as well as an airdash he can use in combos or for approaches, and a stance he can do mixups out of. He can use pyschocut and a followup run state (which he can cancel into a backdash) to zone or approach, and hyper beam is a BIG damage fullscreen laser that, fitting it's mainline RPG effect, leaves him vulnerable if blocked. Finally, Psyshock is a disgusting defensive option, that like Chandy's overheat, beats both grabs, armors through attacks, and can even win out vs other armored moves at times. His only real main downside is his specials cost meter to use, so entering his burst state more then once a match takes careful planning, like Gengar. On the flip side, Shadow Mewtwo is a glass cannon: His specials cost HEALTH (which he has a low amount of to begin with) to use, so if you're not careful about using burst mode and Recover to regain health, you'll be dead fast, but on the flip side has amazing pressure tools and does gain meter very quickly and can enter burst 2-3 times per round. Miracle Eye also allows him to change the property of moves, the trajectory of projectiles, or re-activate elapsed hitboxes AFTER they've already been used!. Both are high to top tier.
To comment on some of your other ideas: I actually do think that Ditto could be handled interestingly, if done like Double in Skullgirls: Doesn't copy other fighters, but rather each attack transforms him into other characters to use their moves. So it could have the Falcon knee as a foward air, but also Sephirotth neutral air, etc, alongside changing their properties slightly. And while I don't like Probopass's design, I think it has interesting moveset potential, where it can send it's miniature heads out like satellite drones which can attack from different angles. Ferrothorn and Ariados could hang from/walk on ceilings/the bottom of platforms, and I really want Drapion or Grirmsnarl in Pokken as a Dhalism or Min Min archetype.
And yes, I AM one of the 12 Maractus fans!

Great video, accelgor and greninja are from different generations btw
Oh whoops, yep you're right, thanks!
And Accelgor looks way cooler than the stupid suicide frog.
HOLY FRICK, I rewatched the original yesterday in hopes you would realease part 2 soon, but I wasn't expecting for it to be done THAT early.
That also happened to me with an animation ranking.
I don't think there was a joke with snom, I think everyone just thought it was adorable. Like wooloo.
The thing about Mystery Dungeon Representation (be it with Grovyle as a fighter, getting the music, a stage, etc.) is less about getting Grovyle himself in. I’d argue Mystery dungeon has the largest/most dedicated fan base of the Pokémon spin offs, to the point where some people prefer it over mainline Pokémon in general. So to see it explicitly represented in smash would be hype in its own regard.
2:06:32
I know that it had a huge part in the first Anime, and that’s why people think it’s a Gen 1 poke, but-
Togepi and Togetic are Gen 2 mons, and Togekiss was added in Gen 4 as part of the “we’ll give evos to a whole bunch of old Pokémon” deal.
Wooooow I actually just had my mind blown here. I knew Togetic was Gen 2 but I'd have bet money Togepi was from the original 151
Togepi was the main Pokemon to advertise breeding and eggs, so I always remember it being gen 2.
People really go on about "Entei had a movie and suicune had a game. What does Raikou get?" Y'all need to play guardian signs
No we don't.
What even was that game?

1:28:43 I just remembered the World of Light spirit battle against Shedinja where it did in fact have 1HP, just like the source material. It may have been my favourite reference in any of the hundreds of WOL battles.
While the joke itself was funny and I like the jab, I am curious where you'd genuinely place Lopunny cause they've got a good deal going for them.
I think Marshadow has potential as ghost-fighting and how cute and cool it is, but amazing video!
This guy has no respect.
Marshadow is THE Original Ghost and Fighting Mon.
The Ultra Necrozma slander is crazy 💀
Thanks for the thorough work! Next: You should take everyone in S tier and run a poll to pick a top 10 and flesh out their potential movesets in upcoming videos!
Personally, I find these 10 the most interesting of your S-tiers
- Conkeldurr
- Decidueye
- Gengar
- Scizor
- Tinkaton
- Toxtricity
- Eevee-lutions
- Deoxys
- Obstagoon
- Empoleon
Would be awesome to see any of these brought to life in smash!
17:00 Haxorus isn't a pseudo legendary
2:06:30 Togepi is gen ii
But it should be, so its fine.
Also Xatu is gen 2, not 3
Snorlax doesn't bring much to the table, but its forward smash could be it falling asleep on top of its opponent.
And that would be amazing.
Bowser down throw but bigger and stronger
Yeah, Snorlax has always been my favorite Pokemon, but a lot of the heavyweights in Smash can do what it does but better.
Huge props to doing literally the ENTIRE Pokémon roster, holy cow
I do understand why you don’t want Grovyle as the representation for the Mystery Dungeon franchise. What I could suggest instead is using a combo character of Grovyle and Celebi. Use Celebi’s time mechanics to dodge attacks or teleport around the stage. Add the Time Gears to certain taunts or attacks. Use the buddy system to really represent the core themes of the Mystery Dungeon Games, while giving us an iconic pair of characters. Also I do find it funny that Dusknoir was brought up last video but you failed to mention it’s insane presence as a villain in the Explorers games, especially with how it’s stomach mouth was used.
I never thought about Ogerpon in smash until now, I'm in her corner
1:03:29 WHAT???? THE SACK IS ACTUALLY HIS TAIL???????? ALL MY LIFE I’VE NEVER KNOWN THIS 😭😭😭😭😭
SAME 😭
😂😂😂😂
I feel like if you wanted a weird, gimmicky move for a bug type, there’s Fell Stinger, a move that, in game, has ordinarily weak power, but drastically raises the user’s attack stat if they manage to secure a kill with it. You could implement it kind of like that in Smash, having it be the last move to hit an opponent before KO, and causing a big increase in power to the next move, kinda like Revenge, but a move you have to commit more to using.
You love to see another soul converted to the Breloom gang 😌 soon he will replace Pikachu as the series mascot
one way that Zangoose and Seviper could be done is if they had a moveset that consists of them trying to hit each other and instead throwing hitboxes at everything else in the surroundings; like that's the thing Tom & Jerry did iirc
also, Slowbro could have a really funny armor mechanic based on the fact that it takes longer than usual to notice pain. it takes all the damage and hitstun and knockback -- just, 5 seconds later
You're not the first person I've seen who thinks that Togepi is from Gen 1, it just goes to show how much of an impact Misty having one in the anime was.
outrage would be a really interesting side b in the vein of double edge dance, but with the addition that you cant cancel it early if the opponent blocks it- nodding to how you're locked into it if it hits in pokemon
I tried searching to see if anyone else had made these corrections and didn't see anything so hopefully I'm not beating a dead horse here, but
-Brine doesn't deal more damage when you're at low health, it deals more damage when the target is at low health, the idea being that the salty brine is inflaming their existing wounds.
-Parasect isn't a bug parasitizing a mushroom, it's a mushroom parasitizing a bug. The bug itself is practically dead underneath, the mushroom is controlling its body to move around, like a cordyceps fungus on an ant. I think the bug is meant to be a cicada, but gen 1 combined elements of a lot of different animals to make more generalized monsters (which I honestly prefer) and, you know, crabs are just bugs, crabs are closer to bugs than spiders are.
Also, fun fact, given that the position, color, and poisonous nature of Clodsire's spines, it's possibly in reference to a real life salamander species that has spines made of its own ribs, when it flexes the spines puncture poisonous sacks and then break through the skin to deliver toxins.
Good corrections, I'll add them, thanks!
I think archeops maybe doesnt have to get weaker, but maybe rage doesnt apply? you dont necessarily get worse over time, but you trade some of the potential power from rage for actual power now. I think that might be interesting, but maybe doesnt fit archeops well enough
As someone who didn't grow up with Pokémon, and doesn't know very much about it today, hearing about all these different types, and what they're supposed to be references to is very interesting.
15:15 “Braixen, which the Pokemon fan base seems to prefer overall for some reason.”
Well there is *one* reason
Come on this is a kids video
*that* reason also applies to delphox. I think Braixen just has a more appealing appearance and proportions.
Accelgor is not from the same generation as Greninja btw.
I feel like zangoose and seviper could be implemented in a similar way to tom and jerry in multiversus. they're not trying to kill their opponents, they're trying to kill eachother and they keep missing and hitting their opponents
My idea for Golisopod's Emergency Exit would be a unique spotdodge that, rather than avoiding an attack, made it take reduced damage and fixed knockback from the attack. So if you spotdodge a jab that would otherwise be part of a combo setup, you get sent flying much further but with faster recovery, and if you eat a smash attack at kill% during it, you'd only get knocked so far instead (although there'd be an upper limit and a staling mechanic to keep this in check).
47:56 Honestly I could see Zangoose and Seviper working as a tandem character where they're constantly fighting eachother and the opponents are just collateral, similar to how Tom & Jerry function in Multiversus
15:44
Erm, actually, Accelgor was introduced in Gen 5 alongside Escavalier, not Gen 6 with Greninja. ☝️🤓
A few quick notes
-Farigiraf and Girafarig are meant to be pronounced like Giraffe
- Koraidon and Miraidon's names are meant to be more pronounced like "Ride On", it's a little pun bc Gen 9 went crazy with naming puns
- Remoraid and Octillery were originally more military-themed, with Remoraid being more like a torpedo and Octillery being more of a literal tank, but they got censored/changed during GSC's development, and the dynamic kinda got killed. Anyway, that's why Remoraid evolves into Octillery. (Correction, Remoraid was based on a pistol, not a torpedo. It had a sucker on its front which made the evolution line make more sense with it becoming an octopus tank. Thanks to @shattermelon496 for this correction)
Remoraid wasn't a torpedo, it was a pistol. It's based on an archerfish with a remora's sucker. Incidentally that sucker is partly why it evolves into an octopus
Another layer to the second point is that the “Korai” and “Mirai” parts of the gen 9 legends’ names are also real Japanese words that translate to “ancient” and “future” respectively
@@shattermelon496 Ohh, thanks for the correction, I'll edit my comment.
@@KingKirbyy I never knew this, thank you
@@shattermelon496 wasn’t it closer to a revolver
A fun way to implement Type null and Silvally into smash without the overlap of Arceus could be something similar to Nagoriyuki/A.B.A from Guilty Gear Strike. With it’s mask Type null is a slow heavyweight with strong attacks but with usage of a resource you can break the mask changing it into Silvally, a fast strong rush down character which takes double knock back from any attacks until the mask reconstructs itself, it could lead the way to interesting combos and the mechanic of finding the perfect opportunity to go into rush down.
6:29 it also learns sky uppercut, so it has a built-in up special
Edit: 2:01:10 I think the best way to do it would have shaymin finding a gracidea flower and transforming as its intro animation, and for its final smash it could use seed flare the way it does in the show, drawing in impurities from the environment and exploding with nature power
An idea I had that could work for archeops, is basically, the closer the match is to even, the better the characters stats are
I’ll admit that I don’t like how you seem to reject so much poison-based or gas-based ideas just because of Piranha Plant. It’s not even the signature of its gameplay, that’s much more neutral B, and it’s not like Smash is afraid to use similar ideas for some characters (I mean, there are *so many* Charge Shot clones and not many people complain about that since there’s usually at least some kind of difference to them, like Mewtwo having a weird flight and Lucario having a charge hitbox). You could do something fun, like have Salazzle use gas clouds that are longer lasting and combustible, but are much less damaging than Piranha Plant’s smog.
I just started but I ask… please please PLEASE let Ampharos be placed highly
Edit: :D
One of the best edited series on CZcams in such a subtle way at times, Bravo
Criminal that this doesn't have more views imo. Very impressive effort and very entertaining!
I'm imagining a platform fighter with only Pokemon. Maybe call it "Pokemon Knockout."
honestly watching this I'd absolutely love for someone to try and make Smash movesets for every Pokemon, that'd be a challenging and fun thing to do
and if you really really want to give them all unique gimmicks or something like that, could be really cool
Used to main breloom in Type Wild, need him in smash
I love the animated back grounds for the pokemon pictures. Super clean looking and a nice touch having the unique colours and the emblem for all the types.
Escavelier and Accelgor are actually a duo so you could do something with that idk
The way to get them is trade karrablast with shelmet and karrablast gets shelmets shell
In the back of my mind I kept wondering when you would upload again and I'm so glad to see this one. I really like your takes on everything and I find it hard to argue with most of your opinions. You clearly do a ton of research and you are one of my favorite creators. Keep it up King!
Hell yeah Breloom is S, so many options for tools 💙.
Drednaw is another mon that can stretch, he can stretch his neck, his GMax is essentially an Anti-Air Gun. Now I wouldnt argue he'd be an S tier neck fighting character..... maybe. But he would be fighting with his neck.
@38:15 because his goofy animations are absolutely amazing! It's why I am a plant main in the first place!
Congratulations on making it through this crazy project! I really appreciate the Delphox support, I have no idea why people apparently dislike it so much.
I just had a fuckin brain blast with Deoxys and its form shifting. Imagine if it started the stock in Normal Form, but when you did a smash attack, it changed to Attack Form, and then _stayed_ that way, modifying its stats accordingly. Using either up or side special could switch it to Speed Form, down special or shield could switch it to Defense Form, and then neutral special could switch it back to Normal Form, and all of its normals/aerials/throws wouldn't affect which form its in but could change attributes based on the current one. God I want this so badly now.
This is very similar to what Leon Massey pitched for Aegislash in part 1, I'd be in!
For abamasnow specifically, I think it would be cool to let it set up smaller snow clouds on the stage that buff it's speed and damage while under them. I can't think of his name but there's a character in Rivals that has something semi similar.
I have to disagree with your marshadow placement the thing is quite physical especially with it’s powered up form
Plus east shadow sneak user
For Zeroara, they could apply a shock damage over time debuff similar to shocked from MultiVersus, but would have to coat their fists with electric using the move that turns normal into electric, and they could also gain buffs anytime they hit an enemy with shocked fists to either reward a good combo game (increased damage by a very small amount per hit) or to promote a better combo game that was previously unachievable (a slowly decreasing end lag time for everytime the enemy is hit with the shocked fists). However applying the shocked fists would either require landing a risky move or using a non attack special that is very slow to apply it, and the shock "state" would require successful hits to keep it up, so you couldn't just use it and then fish for moves all game or something
You already moved Grovyle's placement but i wanted to drag you into the mud just a bit more. :P
Saying Sceptile is a better Smash candidate is like saying Raichu is a better candidate than Pikachu. Grovyle is simply more popular. There's a reason Braixen is in Pokkén instead of Delphox. The most popular character wins. He should be over Sceptile.
Honestly stupid debate both Sceptile and Grovyle are great but Grovyle can represent The Mystery Dungeon spinoffs
Delphox is a great pick especially if it gets a Mega in Legends Z-A while Braixen could ve her own thing being more inspired by Pokkén.
Tbh I COULD see clefairy getting in if they did a Pokémon platform fighter. It would probably be the best pokemon to represent metronome imo and it was supposed to be the mascot before pikachu
B tier is where most of the ones I find really cool ended up (Orbeetle, Melmetal, Xatu). Although I'm SUPER happy (but not surprised) that Deoxys is S tier. I think Blacephalon, Genesect, Hawlucha, and Scizor were A or S, which is also nice.
When the world needed him most, he returned with another film length video.
Marshadow should not have been lumped in with the other mythicals, it's a great canidate.
So I was searching through the entirety of both videos looking for where porygon ranked. Of course it was DEAD LAST!
Now do every Fire Emblem character.
Eelektross floats above the ground using electricity, so it doesn't have the problem the other fishes do
Beyond happy to see my boy Golisopod in S tier. Put him in and then put in some actual Team Skull music in with him. I'm still mad that Gladion's theme was the closest thing to Team Skull music in Ultimate.
Killer Instict has a character named ARIA and that character have the same mechanic as your idea for Archeops. She has the same health bar as the rest of the cast but her health bar is divided in three different parts that represent one of her drones. So when she loses that part of her health, she loses the ability to use that said drone. In short words, she starts the match at full power but the more health she loses, the more weaker she becomes.
43:02
im not a pokemon expert or a smash bros expert but to me it sounds like you could interpret this move as like a down special that either needs to be charged up first or has limited uses per stock or something, and then for a limited time afterwards, its normal attacks become electrified? like give them more hitstun so that they get access to more true combos.
Maractus isn't upstaged, Maractus is perfection
Sure Meloetta can do music and Cacturne cactus - but get you a mon that does both
For Archeops, you could turn the weaker hitbox into an advantage. Maybe at low % he has more powerful attacks that are slower, and at high % he's weaker but also faster and has better combo potential.
16:00 Im so happy somebody noticed my favorite mon, he always gets ignored
Porygon-Z would be sick but the triad concept could work too. Glitch type moves would fit the character so perfectly
Amazing video and all that, but I think Dhelmise would be REALLY fun to implement in smash, it can shoot the anchor and use it like an extremely heavy whip or even flinging yourself somewhere, you can do some things by detaching the wheel and spinning it around, and the seaweed itself could even be used for some faster weaker attacks, it really could fit well as a very versatile extremely slow and heavy long ranged pokemon
I HAVEN'T WATCHED IT YET BUT DEAR LORD AM I HYPED (Also if Decidueye isn't in a high tier I'm rioting)
Edit: Decidueye is in S-tier. You can sleep safely tonight
That Porygon section was very satisfying to watch.
I think the mount concept would work far better for rei/akari from legends arceus with the nobles
Deoxys and Volcarona being in Smash would be a dream come true.
I believe Granbull's based on mythological Irish fairy dogs, hence the Fairy typing.
Couple things, Accelgor is not from the same gen as Greninja. It's from gen 5. And actually has some lore with Escavelier.
Haxorus also sadly isn't a psuedo-legendary. Hydreigon is the psuedo of that gen.
Inironically Ogerpon is the pokemon I most want in smash, but sadly chances are high its chance has passed. Next smash will be too far in the future for them to concider it.
Ive always wanted a ssbu engine under a pokemon platform fighting game. Id like the idea of being able to swap between pokemon and potential held items being an optional thing to use on command like a final smash except toned down as like temporary boosts or additional jump ome time things for most items to. Adiitionally i think a cool toggle-able option is super effective moves doing more hitstun opposed to damage or knockback buffs allowing certain combo starting moves to allow for longer lasting and flashier combos that dont just ko at 40 but imstead reward the player for matchup kmowledge. The person getting hit always has a chance to switch out but risking a heavy punish. I have so many ideas i just wish i was good at coding to do it myself lol
YESSSS!!! I’VE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS!!!!!
Breloom is also a character in Pokemon Type Wild, an old street fighter like Pokemon fan game and it’s very interesting. Also I love my Boy
Pyukumuku is my favorite Pokémon of all time it is heartbreaking to see where you placed him. It's even more heartbreaking because I can't argue against it. He's just so silly
Palafin could also work well as part of a trainer where you could really translate it's mechanic perfectly, make it intentionally the strongest member of the trio but you have to bring out it's weaker form out at least once. It can use floppy terrible version of it's moves so it's role is just getting enough space to switch again into another pokemon
56:55 The joke is that its Snom. That's it. There's nothing else to it, just the fact that it exists is what makes it funny. He's just a lil snow bean. XD
My idea is Pokémon Rival based on Silver in Gold and Silver. He has the three GSC starters but the stages are super effective against the three Trainer Mons so Chikorita, Quilava, and Feraligatr
I been saying, they should make a new Pokemon series as a Smash-like game with access to every Pokemon
In terms of Scarlet and Violet representation, Ogerpon is also the only one I could see making it as official dlc for Smash and its not even close, therr is a gimmick with the loyal three but they're different enough and not at all crazy enough to warrant being a dlc character, while still being so strong that I wouldn't want to see any way to inflict a Damage over Time effect in smash
I have watched it yet, but if my boy Haxorus does not get an S tier I’m Blowing up Malaysia
LETS GOOOOOOOOOOO
Armorouge (if that's how it's spelt) I can see working similar to the Orb in Brawlhalla. Definitely a kickass design on it and Sirolex.
Raging bolt is a brontosaurus, which means thunder lizard
I really don't understand why some floating Pokemon are okay and others aren't. It seems kinda arbitrary which ones he deems acceptable.
it is indeed kinda arbitrary, but he says ones that are “more upright” are better fits, because if a short floating pokemon were to float low to the ground theyd be too small and look out of place.
Haxorus is not a pseudo legendary, it's just strong af
One thing to note when he mentions grass type is competitive: grass is only represented once on Ivysaur, which is also poison. Fire, electric, dark, and water are represented twice, and fairy, normal, psychic, poison, flying, fighting, and steel are all represented once, so I don't think a Pokémon's grass type should be knocked for being grass type. Note: unless he's saying grass is competitive as there are a lot of good grass types that would work well in smash, in which case, fair enough.
Nice vid again!
There's quite a lot of mistakes in this video, for example xatu is definitely gen 2, not gen 3, and chansey and blissey absolutely learns egg bomb, the move has just ceased to exist in later generations
