  • Section 2 of the formal Eight Pattern Wing Chun Chi Sau program. This is the longest of all sections and includes many basic attacks and footwork.
Please note that these are no proffesional video clips. We filmed this more or less spontaneously, so there are many small mistakes. However, this is for memorizing the contents and sequences of sections, not the details and quality of execution. This can only be done in person by a teacher anyways.

Hey, 8pwc, do you guys have any free sparring videos with your wife? I posted this video on a Facebook forum (The "Wing Chun Forum" to be exact) and a lot of numbskulls are calling her movements "flowery techniques that won't work in a real fight" for example. I would like to be able to post something that shuts them up because I think what you guys are doing and your level of technical skill are outstanding - and mostly self-taught and self-researched, at that. Kudos!

Sorry, no sparring videos with her online, she won't approve. But don't worry about the talking, we don't either :) Sometimes it is good to be underestimated, especially by idiots ;)

Recently my wife has told me she might be fine with putting a sparring video online. So on the next occasion I will upload something. It will take a few weeks though, because she is still recovering from a broken foot. (from climbing this time, not wing chun)

Correct. 21 Sections of Chi Sau plus Chi Gerk and ReakTsun patterns have been compressed into 8 sections in 8PWC. The structure is not set up along the forms any more. So there are no "Biu Chi Chi Sau Sections" or "Wooden Dummy Chi Sau Sections" in our Wing Chun. Instead the patterns are ordered strictly along probability of occurrence and difficulty. These sections are quite long indeed, but they are not practiced in one piece. Also, on the videos, many variations are shown. The core of our sections are relatively short (about 16-20 patterns each).
