Can some1 explain it to me, if it’s competitive can i call on a judge on an altered-art? It’s getting out of hand, as if it’s not bad enuf to remember all the cards effects & secret lairs

it depends. The alter's usually have to be pre approved. So you can ask if they have done that with a judge. But I would not be too much of a stick in the mud unless you want to get hated at ur lgs.

This doesn't seem to be a sponsored competition. Usually Chris will say in the title if it is. Even still, the altered cards are usually legacy staples that most are acquainted with and unless one party disagrees with their use, they don't have to play.
