- Nashville is the capital and most populous city of the Nashville is the capital and most populous city of the U.S. state of Tennessee. The city is the county seat of Davidson County and is located on the Cumberland River. With a population of 689,447 as of the 2020 United States census, it is the 21st most-populous city in the United States and the third most populous in the Southeastern United States.
Named for Francis Nash, a general of the Continental Army during the American Revolutionary War, the city was founded in 1779. The city grew quickly due to its strategic location as a port on the Cumberland River and, in the 19th century, a railroad center. Nashville seceded with Tennessee during the American Civil War; in 1862 it was the first state capital in the Confederacy to fall to Union troops. After the war, the city reclaimed its position and developed a manufacturing base.

Since 1963, Nashville has had a consolidated city-county government, which includes six smaller municipalities in a two-tier system. The city is governed by a mayor, a vice-mayor, and a 40-member metropolitan council; 35 of the members are elected from single-member districts, while the other five are elected at-large. Reflecting the city's position in state government, Nashville is home to the Tennessee Supreme Court's courthouse for Middle Tennessee, one of the state's three divisions.
Many music clubs and honky-tonk bars are in downtown Nashville, particularly the area encompassing Lower Broadway, Second Avenue, and Printer's Alley, which is often referred to as "the District".

The scenery by the water was beautiful, the park was nice, Fort Nashboro was very interesting and the pedestrian bridge looked like places that would interest me for sightseeing, keep up the good work..

I have driven from Utah to Nashville for the past few years and never have seen so many places and then returned home. Thinking about moving to mount juliet near Nashville. However seeing there is nowhere to park in Nashville I'm having second thoughts. Thank you so much for sharing.

@@MooMooAway Nashville isn’t safe and clean. Downtown stinks like piss. Lots of drunk people committing crimes against the tourist. Homeless committing crimes . Nashville has been very unsafe and right now Nashville crime rate per 100,000 is worse then chicago

I think it's around $25-$45 per person depending on the bike tavern company. I don't think the drinks are included. They have different routes and different time slots.

@@ttccbbkk East Nashville towards east and main St. is nice and not too expensive... yet. They’re putting up a lot of art and hangout spots to give the place a cool culture. Just be careful because for some reason Tornados always attack there first.

I went to Nashville 2 years ago and it was exciting. I would get bored with it though. As a girl that likes R&B music and Jazz, it would get bored with cover bands. All the bands are pretty much the same and the musicians travel from one club to the next. Chances are the drummer you saw at Jason Aldeans is going to be at Tootsies tomorrow.

I'm from Nashville and I have seen the homeless and they were more respectful back in the 80's and 90's. We should not have to put up with that bullshit. I hate working too but I do it to not be homeless.
