Weird story I had about a year ago I used to be really really shy and insecure. At the same time, I liked this one girl in my class. She was the hottest girl I've ever seen in person. Oddly enough, there were some slight signs that showed that she liked me but I can't confirm 100%. I'd usually get a bit nervous when she's around but THIS was the most I've ever felt. That anxiety of saying the "wrong thing" ended up making me say the wrong things. I then thought that it was too late, and that she'd probably be already dating someone else. Unexpectedly, she gave me her phone number the next day. I felt like I finally had a chance, but I had literally no idea what to text her, no idea what to even do when we get back to school. This again, made me mess up. Weeks later, she started dating someone that looks almost exactly like me and has nearly the same personality as me. Although I was jealous at first, I realized all my mistakes and missed opportunities. I was thinking too much about things that might happen, thinking about what others will think of me, and too little about these moments that just happened. I swore that day that if I ever get an opportunity like that again, I'm WILL take it. TLDR; I liked girl, girl liked me but I barely realized, regret

Best thing that helped me when I’d get nervous around girls is to focus on her. Just genuinely be interested in her and what she has to say and just listen.
