    something I learned from a youtube channel--you can use a lighter to remove the excess strings on the cord, it just lightly burns them all away. Pretty great and no mess left over. Does not leave burn marks at all, they just sort of disappear--please it's just satisfying.

    Enjoyed your video. I think if you put your stained wood plank in the bottom of the basket where you wrapped white cotton twine around the top, that would take it up a notch. When you cut the 3 long measured pieces of twine to wrap, I thought you were going to braid it first. That would take more twine and time, but that's another possibility. Your baskets all look wonderful!

      Yessss!!! The wood and the cotton twine definitely would look stunning together 😍. Love the idea of braiding it. I'll have to try that next time! Thank you for your wonderful ideas LiseRod!!! ❤️☺️

    Also for a quicker stain shoe polish works pretty good from what I hear

    Good video work! Great idea! Loved it all. When using jute, I've seen other crafters use a small cigarette lighter to burn off those unwanted fibers that stick out. The lighter seems to be cleaner and faster.

    I haven't seen this version yet! Very cute, and it would be even more cute if you did the bottom of the sides and bottom. I love your videos and your tumbling Tower ideas are the best I've seen along side Bonnie Blings! Do you know of her? I can't believe that you don't have more subscribers, because I'm not lying when I say you have amazing, beautiful, original ideas that the entire world needs to see! How can I get the word out about your channel? I'm not very tech savvy 😁

    At my dollar tree store I got the wooden cutting board and put it in the black wire baskets and use the wooden balls for feet

  • @PaigeNicoleKomar

    On the basket handles, I'd put a little hot glue up under the jute cord after you stuff it underneath so it doesn't come out and unwind. Just heard you say you could remove it if you didn't want it anymore, but that's an idea for people that do 😆

    These are dollar tree items… I really wish that crafters would stop promoting waverly…. It’s expensive af! Here’s a good alternative, brown acrylic paint mixed with water. That’s less than a dollar, and waverly is close to $10.

    • @CraftingWithJC
      @CraftingWithJC  Před rokem +6

      Adding water to acrylic paint is definitely a wonderful and cheaper alternative. But what I love about the antique wax is that it provides a stain-like effect without harmful chemicals and adds a beautiful finish while enhancing the wood patterns. A little goes a long way. I'm still on the same bottle I bought a couple years ago. (at that time it was about $5). But with that said, I certainly love mixing water and acrylic paint as well!
