6:24 Awesome Catch Snuffy!
Love the electronic K5LA horns more than those buzzers that sound like dying ducks.
Marvelous! Los Angeles Metro/MTA Light Rail/Subway Lines in Los Angeles & Pasadena including Metro Bus, Light Rail Blue, Expo & Gold and Subway Red/Purple Lines has some awesome light rail & rather quite interesting mass transit. Nice catch Snuffy!

Thanks that is a little reassuring.
nice video Snuffy !!!
We will fly to Los Angeles in the summer for 2 weeks holiday. ;)
I love Los Angeles but San Francisco is my dream city the bridges
SF is great but the weather is horrible
+Patrix542 that's just your opinion. I love the weather the chill on your skin is so great, and I always wear a t shirt when I walk around. Tourists always think it's so cold and foggy, when most days, it really isn't.
@@LDNpat remember the drought and fires...to hell with that give me sunny, cloudy, windy ,clear ,rainy , warm , cool , cold, chilly , dry , snowy , viberent days.
Very nice copilation!
I wish you had a little more footage of the red line :( But I still think its a good movie!
Nice Video
Very Nice
My childhood video
Good video!
Nice catches Snuffy
That One car Train was From a Car Cut and was Returning to the Yard Out of Service ( car Cutting takes a 3-Car Train and make it a 2-car train for the late night service)
Highland park station is the best!
Nice!
I operate trains in San Diego, and must say.....LA has a much better fleet...
To everyone who’s watching this video, P2550s is now added to the blue line
Yup that’s correct
@ 7:30 pe , sigh. the big one that got away . thanks for the post
Los Angeles is good for business and leisure
may i use this video on an musical project that will have sound reactive visuals? the thing is would be exposing publicly parts of the footage. and sometimes the public could be charged (ticket) to attend to the "gigs". thank you
Good vid Snuffy!.......Mike
From LAX To the Terminal Island Long Beach What is the best way to go. thanks for your reply
I've been compiling a video collection of the Metro subway equipment entering and exiting the stations with the trademark "toot toot;" I'm going to try to mix it in with the music "Toot Toot, Tootsie, Goodbye" if I can get the "toot toots" lined up just right!
I will be visiting LA in three weeks and I was wondering if there is a direct line from LAX to Downtown? Also how late do they run?
There's no direct line yet but you can take a Metro bus shuttle to Metro Green Line station. There's also Flyway bus go to Los Angeles Union Station from LAX which runs 24 hrs.
Which is faster?
Nick Hyder I know this is incredibly late, but you could take this advice for your next trip to LA. Take the shuttle bus to the Green Line, which heads east. Then it makes a transfer to the Blue Line. where you'll go north towards Downtown. Usually, they run until past midnight, but the times when they stop are less frequent at night.
What happen to Green Line?
What is the Metro rail at 8:27 to the end? Thanks
Either the Blue Line or the Expo Line. My guess is the Blue Line.
Holy shit I've been living here for years and never knew this system existed.
HOW? xD
+Ziggmanster LA is so big so nobody can't blame you for knowing.😂
You should've choose one station for the Metro Green,Silver,Orange and purple lines
They have the same motor as the Bombardier T1s.
lerdo, mas eficiente , parabens para a cidade americana , poderia ser exemplo para as cidades brasileiras!
We need to get out of the tussle and bustle of the freeway traffic.
one thing I speed lilmets I find it hard to believe that it isonly 55 MPH for it seems there is heavy rail on concret ties and good bales did the old Pacific electric run faster then the Blue line runs today what is the reason????
how come there are 3 cars for gold line usually there are 2
i metro red line because i learnd it renfords
No Metro Green Line? No Metro Silver and Orange Line? :-(, nice video
That's the case in point.Armed security guards should be at the platforms for that very reason. Give the riders a head start before criminals devour them on sight. lol
Why not hire more security throughout the city? i have zero tolerance for violent crime. Also hire locals to run the rail and the other service jobs.
Arch Michael
On the Blue and Green lines, there are actually Sheriff's Deputies with AR's on the platform, so check that off the list.
hackman669 And Metro DOES hire locals.
Except for the subway, these are mostly glorified streetcars. LA deserves a world class rapid transit system with fully grade-separated right of way and faster speeds. Why didn't they build these lines along the freeways? That would not cost any more than taking up one half of a city street for the tracks, and the "trains", if you can call them that, would not have to stop for traffic signals and vehicles.
Movie Maker 😮😶🙁😶🙁😒🇨🇴
L.A. were too late with building an transit system. They should of built it right after the red street cars were retired.
James Ronald
The Red Cars were retired because they were replaced by buses, and Pacific Electric went out of business. Please do some actual research, numbskull.
Movie Maker love
Because the money my friend. They don’t have the money.
In an urban environment with many stops, plus traffic lights in some areas, the trains probably won't exceed 50mph max. Maybe average 35mph is my guess.
haha. they actually average a bout 25mph
What ls speed of your personal car within City ,at street lights ??
The Expo line trains sound like Toronto's T1 trains..... exactly
Is it the same model?
No
I wonder how far this is from were the old Pacific electric Long Beach line did iit go threw Watts?
Why do they put boat horns on trains?
John Neff this is a super late response. They habe those boat horns because Metro was getting complains that the old horn they used was to loud so they replaced them with the horns we have today at least that's what I know
For an International City Los Angeles can do better much better! "When you know better you do better" Especially considering the chronic gang infestation in the basin!
Arch Michael.
Do you realize that LA I'd built in a basin and city planners 100 years ago didn't have any idea that the city would be an epicenter of urban sprawl. With that said, bring a native Californian and Angeleno and someone who has take many forms of Public transportation in the city, I can say year by year, decade by decade, the options are improving. Next year sometime , the Crenshaw- LAX line will open which will link the Crenshaw district to LAX through Inglewood and I'm sure that some point, the Purple Line will be extended from the Miracle Mile/Mid Wilshire area to the Westside. . I will say though if the powers that be on the City hadn't cow towed to the automotive industry 60+ yrs ago, we would've had even more option for public transit with street cars like the Red Car. If the Red Car was still around, that could serve as means for getting people between the Miracle Mile/ Mid Wilshire to the West side until the issues with the Purple Line extension can be ironed out
And in South Florida....nothing but stupid Metro-Rail and Tri-Rail
Why dosent Los Angeles build more Underground Lines?
$$$
***** But they are making the extension of the purple line right?
earthquakes
glitch4465 it is too expensive and there is no advantage an underground line has over an elevated line that justifies the cost for the cost of a subway you can have 2 EL lines for every one subway line.
+qjtvaddict Los Angeles is also too wide spread for an effective transit.
Seems very slow.
This video was uploaded back when Dwight Howard was a Laker :(
You would think with all the murders & gangs in Los Angeles they would have security on the trains as well as the Stations! I guess it takes a few violent incidents to bring that into fruition??
GTA V
GTA V.
It doesn't matter if were 1985...Security should be on the trains as is the case in the vast number of public rail systems across the country! Least of which in a gang infested city.I guess they'll do that when something awful happens on those trains & there is public out cry to put security on the trains! Its just common sense & assures passengers especially the tourist while deterring trouble makers.LA county still has around 600+ reported murders a year it might as well be 1992 as you put it!
Do they have security on those trains & on platforms to subdue the gang bangers???
Red Line subway is awesome; Amtrak takes me to LA Union Station, then it's walking distance to the underground Red Line which takes me to all points between there and North Hollywood in minutes! :)
