@@irenebae3018 Linoy Ashram was overscored that she'd win over Russians even though she dropped her ribbon. Dina Averina only had a silver with 4 perfect routines, Arina Averina didn't even get a medal
@@denalihedgehog OMG!! i didn't watch the performance...thank you for your information..this is one of my favourite sport..i was very surprised israel won the gold medal.. poor judges👎
@@irenebae3018 Even the FIG have released a statement saying that after careful review that the judging was fair. Yes, Linoy Ashram dropped her ribbon and won, but Dina Averina did the same thing at the 2019 World Championships and won there.
If this were 2013-16 when there was a maximum scoring system then something like that could have never happened--hence why Yana Kudryavtseva lost. But in this current code of points where there is an open-ended scoring system, if a gymnast builds up enough difficulty it can _absorb_ certain deductions allowing them to win even if they make a major mistake--especially in the all around competition where the final score is an grand total of the scores from each apparatus.
So as per the rules, Ashram won fair and square. Because the people who are lining up to castigate her were nowhere to be seen when Averina won in 2019.
How did a channel called "the Olympics" mess up the grammar in their title????

As far as I know gymnastics is something that you have to start since childhood. Like around the age of 8 or 10. Other wise your body wont he able to be flexible enough. Not really sure about this but it wa written in our PE book.

No, Margarita deserved her Olympic Gold, she had solid performances with high scores, a wonderful performance and charisma, which gave her a huge and well deserved execution score. It is sad, people still think Yana should have won and Margarita don´t deserve the Gold medal. Maybe Yana was a better Gymnast in general, but Margarita was the better Gymnast that day.
