I am so glad this is over. Many horses died and got severely injured before this was recalled in I think the 1980s. Im glad this was stopped and they’ve tried to bring it back before but it is banned. And I’m hoping it will stay like that forever.
Can you send me the articles and information where it says how many horses actually died and got injured doing this ?? Because last I knew the only ones who were injured were the riders usually, just curious
@@cg5704most recorded injuries were about the riders. But other outlets (vets) suggest that horses suffered bone fractures, internal organ damage, spine injuries and more. They tried to bring this back in the early 90s.
maybe they would push up to get back, maybe they would stay down there with a broken neck, leg, and practically every bone, these horses deserve so much better, i dont know what people where thinking

Imagine a belly flop, stings right? Now imagine an 1000 pound animal that has a let’s say around 100 pound person on its back with gear on falling into the water fast and hits that water. That’s extreme horse abuse and it’s just as bad as foal racing. Good thing it’s over with.
