I wouldn’t feel comfortable telling other people who and what they should comment on. A complement to the bass and drums are not an insult to the other musicians. Clearly all of these kids are talented beyond their years. I will take a positive compliment over a negative one I think it best if I not take a positive comment and make it negative. It has been my experience if I am looking for negative I will find it even in the most positive comments.

Adam Hallacher the kid was playing an Eric Marienthal Sax solo transcription from the 2004 Montreux Jazz fest performance. She did great learning that solo.

@@VimanaFusion pfff you obviously know nothing about drumming or music in fact, there isn't any such thing as best drummer in the world there are no comparisons to great drummer because they all do their own thing (at least the actually good ones) and Senri Kawaguchi is ok at drumming but there are so many better drummers like Anika Niles or Sarah Thawer both got amazing chops but also groove because that's what makes a good drummer so STFU I hate comments like these

OMG all is not lost! These teens are the future. Who knew folks this age would have an appreciation for this Genre of music that some call Jazz and some call Fusion. Whatever it is it's great and they did a super job presenting it and I'm sure Chick and the rest of the original players are proud of this group of kids. Though Katarina and Djuradj stood out the rest of the band did a superb job as well! Spain is one of my all time favorites and if I closed my eyes I felt like I was hearing Chick and Return to Forever playing! Not an easy selection to play and I hope to hear more from all of you all as a group.
I know there's a number of 'em out there that live and breathe jazz, especially the kind that falls between contemporary and straight-ahead jazz...you know, that F word. May their tribe increase. Sadly, their peers on the outside world are raised on something else (I'll be kind, haha), and they usually have a blank stare on their pop-cultured faces when they hear this music. Though Spain is now an overplayed standard, it's an "A" for effort.👍
