Patio Doors I think would be the double glass doors in the back of the dining room in Tanglewood. My biggest gripe about finger prints ghosts in that room is that there's no where in that room if it were the ghost room to get fingers prints. You'd have to hope the ghost roams and then touches a door or a light switch to get fingies.

to be fair it doesn’t have to roam very far to touch a door and once it hunts its more than likely going to touch at least one door

Actually, ghosts could leave fingerprints on the window opposite the patio door in Ridgeview, and on Tanglewood they could at least interact with the basement door (often through the wall), but this is definitely an improvement.

The sanity pill "fix" would make more sense if Smudges and glowsticks got used up as well.

honestly it's probably the only way they figured out on how to patch duplicating the pills.
i dont like it becuase i would feel like i need to check the shop to restock more often instead of restocking after death. duping the pills was such a niche thing. felt like it wasted more time to do instead of figuring the ghost out.
What's next? Buying lighter fluid to refill them? New candle sticks?

Played a tiny amount with the new sound sensors. Here's my thoughts:
-Sometimes they cover too much area. Yeah, we got a sound reading on sensor 1 which covers... Master bedroom, minor bedroom, bathroom, foyer, and children's room.
-They now work much better when used in a large quantity. With more overlap you can more accurately determine where the ghost is based off if you get multiple sensors going off or not.
-They look mighty fine.
I think the overlap of sound sensors is the intended effect, to make it very useful in pinpointing ghost location. 3 sound sensors would be enough to triangulate the ghost's current position at any given time, so long as it stays on the same floor.
Great update overall but I really dislike the sanity pill change.
Edit: The pill change was reverted pretty quickly so the rest is outdated.
Putting all your stuff into a game already sucked, now that you're gonna lose $80 it'll suck even more. Especially when you're playing with someone who will just waste the pills, I don't like how they are consumables like that.
I agree. You might as well make Smudge sticks consumables at that point. Seeing how once you use a smudge you can’t really “re-use” it. This could go for candles as well, once a candle is all used up, it ain’t really re-usable. That’s the main thing I didn’t like about this update.
Or! Even just make it $5?
@@ShibaInu102 I was thinking the exact same thing. $20 is way too expensive for each individual pill bottle, especially given that a large percentage of the player base doesn't have nearly as much time and money in-game to offset the essentially guaranteed $80 loss from each game. Losing $20 total from all 4 pills being used is much more reasonable if they want them to be consumables.

Okay just checked and the feature was unimpeded in the last hotfix. So it's a non issue now

I'm have a back injury and neuropathy in my leg and am so glad they released a sitting option for this. I can finally use my headset in phasmo without pain.

Patio doors are the sliding glass doors in the living rooms, for the back patio. The front would be 'porch.'

This was the weirdest, yet most accurate way to describe a garage.
Patio (pronounced "Pat-ee-oh") door is the big glass sliding doors that lead out to the back yard. They're in the living rooms for both Tanglewood and Ridgeview.

spelling phonetically without IPA is kinda a bad idea, because you can't know whether someone means 'e' like /i/ (pronounced like the letter 'e') or 'e' like /ɛ/ (similar to eh) or even /e/ (pronounced like the letter name 'a').
Sound Sensor Team get HYPE
I find the Obake's keyboard thing funny, like he tried to impersonate Thomas Wilson and wanted to commit identity theft and when you find him he slams the keyboard to turn it off. Also with the names, I can only hope we get more crazy names like Michael Jordan. This updates gonna be chaotic but in a good way.

I do have to wonder if they could have just made the doors dynamic opening in certain ways on one game and not so on another like blocking regular lockers, closets, and furniture hiding spots instead of totally doing away with them. Door hiding spots were a fun and ingenious way of hiding and I hope they bring that back in the future.

The sound sensor will now help you figure out where the ghost room is as you take it and place it in the middle of the house and go back to the van to see where the ghost first intractions are..

Hell yeah! :D Phasmo has always been a VR only game for me so this is probably gonna be like totally new experience :)
I don't think that's what they meant with the sanity pills, cause I definitely noticed the bug a million times when I played. Basically, if you died, but your team ATE the sanity pills, they wouldn't be removed from your inventory, so you basically had infinite sanity pills since the team would just eat them before leaving a mission, so that the dead player would get them back even upon death.
Then again, I haven't played the new update yet, so I don't know if you need to keep rebuying them

I remember way back when I first started Phasmo the sanity pill bug threw me for a loop. I used to play, use a pill (as I was broke and just starting out) and have to re-buy it after. When I started to play with other’s they were all confused as they never did. They just got it and unless they died they got it back. I thought I was going crazy when I tried it again and it worked the way they had it and came back after the mission. Glad to see I wasn’t crazy after all these months… Years… Year.
Except the bug was always in the game, pills never got deleted from use.
I wonder if they will add some of the streamers name somehow. Although I’ve named insym “David” in my head, and there’s already a David, it would be cool if insym was a last name

For me that's the best update yet as i had a bug where the Ghost could always hear me and insta kill me in solo even when my mic was unplugged. The push to talk option is a game changer ! So happy to finaly be able to play this game
Lowkey the BGM makes me not trusting Insym, cuz he use the same BGM on the april fools update too. Anyway love your content Insym keep making those funny vids. :3

I made an interesting phasmaphobia challenge I think you might like, the phasmaphobia nuzlocke, it works a little different in multiplayer, then as solo, the main thing is to start on tanglewood and all maps are nightmare, with no items you must guess the ghost and get as much money possible, you only keep your money if you guess the ghost right, you also move onto the next map, when you succeed you can spend all the money you got, and get new items to help you, if you die you lose the challenge, in multiplayer if someone dies they are no longer allowed to add any items they added to the map they died on, and your team loses if everyone dies on the same map(side rules: you can’t go back to a previous map or farm money in any way, you also can’t use discord or any other kind of chat when you die, you are gonna have to hope the team does what you want, or you have to pick up items to try and communicate with them from beyond the grave

As a VR player, I hope they give us the option to at least put the Walkie back on our chest. Personally I'd prefer to keep my belt clear of non-tools in case of an emergency.

So the new update seems to have some problems but a lot of nice things.
It seems to nuke your comp in VR now temperature wise.
I can't open Phasmophobia without my VR stuff opening on its own. Even if I tell steam "play normally."
We had a hard time opening some caninets.
Some of the cabinets flail wildly when you open them. It launches items at break neck speed.
Some things you can't pick up.
Your mic in local will randomly stop the second you walk far enough from other players.
You technically carry 4 items but ones your journal so I got jebaited. It was nice to see.
Some cool neat things? When you use certain items it makes custom sounds.
You can crouch and use global chat nicely.
You can walk "normally" (it's better.)
The lights are super bright in the house now! Oh my God it's beautiful!

I don't know what happened to motion sensors, but they can't be placed on walls anymore either and that can't be intentional.

willow house is so broken it was one of my favorites to play and after checking it out i really don't like what they did there is like 3 spots in the basement they made and it isnt that good for the fact if the goast could be down there also if its a fast goast then you basically dead almost straight away i don't like what they did with all the doors because i play nightmare most the time i find it really hard to hide in most houses farm do seem alright but it depends where the goast is.
It's a bit better in VR now.
Still better in non-VR, but I like how VR is still a solid option

Doors in general in VR have been annoying for me. I don't have a large enough play space to walk around to keep open the door in one go

Personally, I like the idea of 1 or 2 guaranteed safe spots. So that when the ghost starts hunting between you and that spot you suddenly need to come up with a plan B
