    Thank you so much for helping me and showing me exactly how to replace my broken belt. As a 71 year old woman I truly appreciate your clear exact instructions. Best video out there for replacing a belt on my zero turn. ❤😊

    Perfect video! Clear, concise and solves an exact problem the average home owner will encounter if they own this model mower. Thank you, Jason!

    Thank you Jason! My husband has been working so much he had no time to replace our broken belt. Thanks to you, I did it myself! Of course, I won't tell him that, or he'll start expecting me to fix more stuff by myself. LOL

    Jason, many thanks! I had several people tell me what a nightmare it is changing a belt on a zero-turn and I was NOT looking forward to it. You made it look so easy I just knew there had to be a catch. To my amazement, there wasn't! Changing it out was just as easy as you made it look. I had the belt changed in less time than it took me to remove the covers. You did an excellent job making this video. Clear, concise and right to the point. I could not ask for more.

    Great video, I have the same mower and the drive belt came off the pulleys. Luckily it didn't break, but just popped off in a bad location so had to lift the back with a furniture dolly and have my wife on the John Deere 318 pull it to the garage. I'm glad I found your video to prepare for a deck belt break.

    got one of these 3 weeks ago, mowed my 5.5 acre horse property that has no horses. it did great, the pastures had not been cut all summer, were 2 ft tall grass and weeds. Had to make two passes in the deep stuff but the whole place looks like a lawn now. Engine is very powerful, I have the Kawasaki. I have special edition which has very aggressive tread tires.

  • @Hax0rZ1
    @Hax0rZ1 Před rokem +1

    One thing omitted which i saw your tensioner spring come loose and you must have put it back on to get that tension back. It was easier for me to track the belt then put the spring pulling everything in to place. By forcing the belt over like that you can damage it and that is one very expensive belt. You avoid the possible damage by simply putting the spring back in after tracking the belt. What I'm most concerned about now is my eye bolt broke after years of use for that spring and I'm not sure how much tension it should be pulling putting in a replacement.

    I have had my z254f for two seasons (this is our second season) and cut roughly 2 acres (once a week in prime season) and once every two weeks now to end of season. Seems as though the deck belt needs to be replaced already. The PTO engages but hesitates and ultimately the blades stop turning. The belt looks loose when I am able to engage the PTO. Is it normal for the deck belt to be replace after less than two full seasons?

    • @vancleb7415
      @vancleb7415 Před 2 lety +1

      Not sure if Im too late to answer, but belts can go pretty fast. They can loosen, dry out, and snap. Changing once per cutting season soudns about good. I cut commercially and have had to change my deck belt about twice since this spring.

      I had 17.5 hours on mine but it was pretty clear I had a piece of branch stuck in there which caused it to snap. I'm in N FL and Lowe's had a knock-off for $84.00 but I wanted to make sure it was OEM so I went to a dealer in the next town. Not too sure if that was a good idea as they hit me for $94.00 (after making a big deal about giving me a "discount").
