The interviewer deserves credit for well-informed questions and giving Tyson space and time to give long answers. Tyson has walked out on many interviews. This guy knows how to provide a prompt and wait for a full response. Well done!

Ronnie Coleman I agree. I love his mind so much. Also is amazes me how much different he is from the once violent high strung young man he was. Just shows he aways was this man, but it was eclipsed from his ego & ambitions. Now he is so chill & himself. My favorite person ever. I would rather chat it up with Tyson than Pres Obama any day. The fact that be can share his weaknesses & faults is just awesome to me & shows more character than someone like Kayne West a person I also love, but rather speaks about his triumphs, accomplishments & talents instead.

@@erikarmstrong1831 Yes, underdog. Despite being undisputed WC, he still was an underdog. Every guy he met in the ring thought he could take MT down with ease, cause they were taller, heavier, had more reach, were smarter than Mike. Mike was quite small compared to most other heavy weights. He always had to fight 'in'. Mike always felt scared. Scared to be beat. To be in oblivion again. To not matter. Never forget, aggression is only a way to express fear. When do you get the most aggression? When someone fights for his life. When he's filled with the fear of death. Mike fought every fight with the strongest fear of being defeated. That's what made him the most aggressive boxer man has ever known. Ali was an artist, Mike was - as he calls it himself - ferrocious. Out of fear of becoming unsignificant again.

Not! There were many who were greater at boxing than Mike. His boxing skills were pathetic. Greatest Heavyweight FIGHTER? No. The Greatest = Ali. Ali could beat Tyson. Liston, Foreman, Frazier, Shavers, etc., could not knock him out and he beat every single one of them. Only Frazier knocked him down! Roberto Duran was a far better boxer than Tyson.

This is my favorite Mike Tyson interview, the fact that he turned the interviewer from a teacher to a student as the interview progressed is amazing to watch. The level of respect the interviewer had for Mike from start to finish is awe-inspiring, you can clearly see the sequence of events of a man with a 9th grade level of education talking to a professor who taught at Princeton University with countless accolades and at the end of the interview the professor is the one who felt inferior and wanted more.
Mike is a special human being, he has reached a level of greatness that only a few can achieve but yet humble in his approach. His insight and wisdom go beyond his achievements in the ring, the stories at every turn helps us to apply them to our lives so that we do not make the same mistakes. This interview affected me deeply. I had to hold back tears as to what was transpiring in front of me and I have no idea why I was tearing up. You encompassed it beautifully. It was something to behold. The interviewer was transfixed with Mikes essence, soaking it up with every answer. Just wonderful.

Tyson personifies the most extreme points of the state of mind. The lowest value as a person, but achieving the greatest for others. Hating the deepest, but soaring highest for human respect. Self destroying with drugs, but overcoming addiction for the love of family. To conquer one's own ego after such universal fame is the great winning fight.

Mike Tyson is possibly the most intellectual and honest public figure I have ever come across. His speeches and view on life have had a very profound effect on millions.
