    I hope you love my ideas! The gold foil paper is my absolute favorite. You can get it from any craft store, cut it to size, stick it on, and bam! Thinking about adding wooden animals on the front of the clear bins too. What do you think?

      omg please add wooden animals ! maybe you could use double sided tape so then when he grows out of the little animals it can just be taken off with goo gone (:

    A tip I’ve learned is if you store your wipes upside down it makes sure the top wipe is completely saturated opposed to the bottom wipes.

    In my experience, I’d keep his socks/pants/onesies in the drawers from his changing table, because it’s so much more convenient for when you’re changing him. Sometimes you need sudden outfit changes that will happen while you’re changing his diaper, so going all the way to the closet while he’s on the table is not ideal. I use the closet for dressier type of clothing. Polo shirts, buttoned shirts, dressy pants, jackets, sweaters, etc. But onesies, pajamas, joggers type of pants, etc, in the drawers!

      Glory Hampton I have a headband organizer that hangs on the wall, socks in a little mesh bag in the top drawer of the dresser. Bottles I have in the kitchen so far, a designated shelf for baby items there.

    Advice I was given was to go ahead and get “medicine” items like Tylenol, gas drops and gripe water before the baby even comes so it’s on hand and your not having to run to the store to grab those things later. I was really glad I did that ahead of time, especially the gas drops! LOVE how everything is looking! Getting some serious inspiration for baby #2!

    Something I loved having with my first born and have ready for my second baby is a small basket in the living room with essentials.
    So burp cloth, bib, pacifier, mittens, extra pair of socks, thin blanket etc.
    You wont want to go to his room every single time you need little things like that while you snuggle on the couch so it's so convenient to have it right there!

  • @ashleycashner6910
    @ashleycashner6910 Před 4 lety +323

    One of my good friends doubled up on the sheets. So she put a waterproof cover, the sheet, then another waterproof cover, and another sheet. So when your baby has a massive accident at 3am, you’re not trying to find new sheets and mattress covers, you just have to take the top ones off and a clean one is underneath

      Alexandra Beuter oh, not sure if anyone has told you this, but you know the shoulder folds on onesies? Those fold down so if your baby has a blowout you don’t have to pull the soiled onesie over his head, it’s just rolls down his body!

    This looks so organized and beautiful! Great job ❤️ Mommy tip: put a second fitted sheet on the bottom of the mattress that way when he spits up or anything you can pull the soiled one off and simply flip the mattress to a fresh made bed for him instead of digging out and sheet and making his bed in delirium😅 When you’re exhausted, it’s the little things 😉

    Love your baby boys nursery! I’m a momma to two girls - 4 yo and 3 months. Looks like you’re pretty covered on all the essentials! The only suggestions I have - from personal experience - is to have PLENTY of sleepers and burp clothes. My daughters basically lived in sleepers the first couple months, and they went/go through burp clothes quickly with all the spit up and drool. Also, gas drops, also called gripe water, will come in handy those first couple months. You give that to him every feeding to help with gas. Our pediatrician said there’s no way to avoid the grassiness/fussiness those first couple months. Babies tummies are experiencing something so new and they just have to get used to it. So don’t fret if he’s fussing a lot some days! Remember you’re a great momma and it’s just all new to both of you. Best wishes for your growing family ❤️

    Get the book Baby Wise. My granddaughter never cries unless you are bothering her 😂 my daughter has her on a schedule so never cries to be fed or changed or put down for a nap because it’s like clockwork. She cried for a few days when my daughter learned that the baby didn’t like dairy so my daughter removed dairy from her diet (she nurses) and since then no sleepness nights from crying. Also get the Owl sock. Peace of mind.

    You should put his sleepers and onesies in the second drawer! Sometime in the middle of the night or even during the day he’ll likely make a big mess from his diaper and it’s gonna be a big help having his fresh, clean jammies right at hand at 3 am lol 💓

  • @gigipaz5959

    A suggestion that I have is to place the onesies, pjs, socks, and gloves in the top drawer of his changing table. It will make it much easier to have those items super handy when you wake up several times a night to change him.

    Go ahead and put a few sleepers and onesies in the second drawer for easier access when you're changing him!! You can't really walk away from him when he's on the table (especially when he starts rolling over) so you'll need to have the clothes closer to you and more accessable vs having them in the closet!

  • @AnnaBabe05

    One thing I swear by are little baby nail buffers. They have little pads that you put on (different strengths for different ages) and it's SO much easier than trying to clip their little nails with nail clippers. I have two little boys and used it. with both :)

    Love your nursery! And you make a beautiful pregnant mama. :) having three girls and one boy as my last, my best advice is to be prepared for the constant peeing water fountain. Boys can squirt often in the middle of a diaper change so you’ll learn to be fast or else go through multiple outfit changes for your little boy and yourself. It helps to put a diaper ready to go under the dirty diaper, straps pulled out and everything before you open the diaper. Have a change of clothes nearby or easily accessible so you don’t have to scramble. Use as little wipes as possible so you don’t get diaper rashes but if he does have one, Triple Paste is my favorite. Best wishes!

  • @christinenicolepsychicmedi9405

    I would just suggest putting the sleepers in the second drawer and only do zips no buttons ( you will thank me later) 🤣 but everything looks amazing and remember anything you want you do! For the clothing, typically 0-3 and 3 month are the same. Then 3-6 and 6 month would be the same and so on. And I agree with everyone saying to keep onesies and PJs in the drawer.
    One thing I didn’t see is a sound machine. My sons almost 3 and still has one playing every time he goes to bed. It’s a huge help with getting them to sleep and not be disturbed by other noises around the house. Plus that way if you’re travelling you can bring the sound machine and it makes them feel more comfortable sleeping somewhere strange.

    Just a suggestion maybe you can put the burpcloths and swaddles in the second drawer to have them closer to you and maybe pjs too 💙

    You’re such an adorable new mom! I love how careful you are. I’d recommend putting his onesies in the dresser and buying a few more bibs and cloths because babies are sooo messy lol and I would always run out. Also sometimes babies get cradle cap or something like that where their scalp gets really dry so baby oil and aquaphor are must haves in my opinion. And don’t forget baby sunscreen. This is so long but one more thing to keep in mind is that he could possibly have eczema or really sensitive skin so I’d stay away from overly fragrant products and laundry soaps. Good luck

    I found that having onesies and pjs under the changing table more convenient during diaper changes or a bath. Also, I would highly recommend a wipe warmer especially in the winter. 💗

      Congratulations! I honestly don’t think I’ve seen any. I think that would kind of defeat the purpose though, because your wipes wouldn’t be warm whenever you needed to use them during the middle of the night diaper change. Good luck!

  • @emilykrych8807
    @emilykrych8807 Před 4 lety +2

    For the second drawer, under the diapers, etc. you could put burp cloths, swaddles, extra onesies (ones he will wear all the time just at home or in the middle of the night if he spits up!) I know you have that stuff in the closet, but it’s always good to have them right there when changing him in case you do need a cloth or another onesie so you don’t have to run to the closet & grab one! It will also leave extra room in the closet for things you guys may need once he is born that you may not have yet or think you need yet! I love your videos and you motivate me to clean and organize everything in my house! Good luck with the rest of your pregnancy 💙💙

    The nursery is looking amazing. A wipe warmer is a nice addition as it takes the chill off wipes and the cold is really shocking when you clean them when they're first born. Size 0 to 3 and 3 months are the same, 3 to 6 and 6 months are the same. Socks are only great when they're older as they fall off all the time so 1 piece outfits with feet are awesome in the beginning, especially around the house. I loved the brand "grow with me" sold at Walmart. They always stayed on my daughters feet and they stretch to grow as your child's feet grow so they last longer too. Hope those tips are helpful!

  • @gouyenne7092
    @gouyenne7092 Před 4 lety +2

    Awww I love it! What a darling set up! I don’t think you need a bed set for the crib. Just any crib sheets and blankets that you like for your baby is fine!
    Also, I love how you have everything set up but once’s he gets here, you might need to rearrange. I like to have everything in arms reach for the sake of not keeping baby waiting (all babies are different and my baby doesn’t like to wait toooo long on the changing table) so long to gather everything baby needs! I’d keep the pjs/onesie/play clothes in the dresser and all outing outfits in the closet but all babies are different, your may be calm since you’re always so calm. 😊
    Maybe more bibs! I haven’t seen anything for bath time yet but I do recommend the blooming bath lotus, it’s on amazon! Or something similar to the bath lotus for newborn then switch to a baby bath tub.
    We use Earth mama and Babyganics for the shampoo and body soap. Great products! Hope this helps you!!💗

    Such a beautiful nursery, can't wait to see more! I recommend a wipe warmer if you don't have one already. And if you plan on using a sound machine and/or night light, I HIGHLY recommend the Hatch Baby Rest sound machine. You can control it with your phone, and it is very customizable. There are a lot of different sounds and light colors, and you can also set programs so it will turn on and off at specific times. By far my favorite baby product, it's been a such a blessing for our little one!

    So excited for you! I have a 6yo and a 5 month old. Being in a multi story house. I keep changing stations around the house. For the living room I use a drawer in my end table. I keep diapers, wipes, change of clothes, hand sanitizer and diaper cream at my stations. Honestly I love the paci wipes, I keep them in the diaper bag. Lol. I recommend gripe water and gas drops if you don't have any. My favorite gripe water brand is Mommy's Bliss. As others have said put some clothes in the dresser. When they have a blow out, you don't want to have to worry about trying to get to closet while they are laying on the changing table. I swear by sound machines!.. Some things you'll learn is preference. Things I love others find unnecessary, and vice versa. Don't stress too much and enjoy the time as it goes by so fast! I also used got these swaddles from Amazon, loved them more than any brand I've ever used. Just know that not all babies like swaddling. My 1st hated it after a couple weeks, my 2nd loved it! www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00GKA4MTE/ref=ppx_yo_mob_b_track_package_o0_img?ie=UTF8&psc=1

    @berangere9101 Před 4 lety

    Definitely agree with the other comments, take your onesies and pyjamas to your drawers.
    Very useful as well: keep an empty box for clothes that will become too small, so that you can just « throw » small clothes as you find them, and eventually also add things your baby didn’t have time to wear and that are too small. When the box is full, put a tag on it and store it away.
    Congratulations on this gorgeous nursery!
