Today, we are decorating for summer in my living room and I think i've perfected the floating shelves. While decorating with neutral summer decor I'm also adding in millennial coastal decor. I styled the floating shelves to fit the season of summer but also these decorating ideas could double for every day decor too. I appreciate how you explain your thought process and logic behind your decorating decisions. I would go with the curtain rod look as I feel like it goes more with the overall feel of your house aesthetic and could potentially be more budget friendly. However, in a past video you mentioned perhaps wanting to get a new couch at some point. So, depending on what the new couch could look like at some point, you may want to take that into consideration when you are thinking about investing in curtains. As for the color of your new couch, I personally think a grey could make the overall living room to bland and that you might eventually miss having the couch have some color to it. Therefore, I might would consider doing a lighter shade of blue so that you still have some color but it makes the room feel more updated and airy. Of course, it is your house and I am sure it will look good no matter what! Also, that set looks super cute on you!

I would love that! Also - I was thinking dark grey sectional as well!!! I feel like a white or beige with my kids would = disaster. Haha

Btw I forgot to mention just doing it when you don't have any motivation. For me that works anyway. Once I start something I just get movin and groovin. It's getting started that can be the struggle so my tip is just get started. It's pushing yourself and then see if that helps. If you're anything like me it will help lol.
