The speculated movie or reboot of the series must have: *the original voice over artists from the series.*
(C'mon now, it would feel weird if Janice Kawaye, Candi Milo, and the others didn't reprise their roles). For new characters, though, new voices would be awesome.
Considering how many original voice cast have been replaced in reboots, they very well might not do that. In any case, I suspect it would be terrible, like most reboots are, or worse, like New Coke.

I could not agree more actually. :) However, I would not mind if they needed to change voice actors as long as they are good and fit the roles of the characters. If not, sound similar to the previous ones. It’s happened before.

I think IF MLAATR got continued/rebooted it COULD retain its art style and overall tone....If it was on Netflix. Samurai Jack got to keep its art style and tone, but the animation and maturity of the series was updated to grow with the audience who grew up wth the original show, but also to take advantage of the advances in animation. MLAATR could do the same and I feel that would benefit the show best. So it feels consistent with the original show while also feeling like it's grown up along with the audience.

Interesting speculation, if changes were to be made, I actually like the concept of having continuity in My Life As A Teenage Robot. That is character development (I’d like to see that in the XJ sisters too), character’s actions with an aftermath, villains definitely need a comeback and affected by previous events, the aftermath of Jenny and Misty’s relationship (I’d like to see where that goes)? How about Vega? 😄 I’d like to see her again. And I like the idea of Jenny graduating high school, that is great progression into her life.
We all need to accept change, I totally agree. Continuity is one change I would like to see in MLAATR. Maybe add new music and soundtrack, update animation (but keep most of the original art style), and if not but could keep the sound effects the earlier series had. Thanks. 😊 Great video.

It came around in a perfect time, 2003-2005 was the best time for the show to thrive, I wish we got season 4, the show was way better than anything they had on at the time cartoon wise besides Spongebob
As someone who got into this show as of recent, I find this concept to be very interesting! It makes me wonder if I would actually watch it! However, I ADORE the show just the way it is so I don`t really like thinking about changing it to be honest!

I have to agree with this video, factors of interest included a look back at characters like Misty, Britt & Tiff to give the audience a glimpse at why they became who they are in the show. This could lead to many possibilities whether it's riches, family issues, or incidents Jenny encounter during her early days. Another factor is the chance to see the main characters adapt into the current lifestyle's of the late 2010's while still keep true to their traits & characteristics. As seen the Rocko's Modern Life special, changes are something folks just needs to learn & adapt to. For by staying in the past, you miss out on many opportunities that can open many doors for you & everyone else.
I was introduced to MLAATR in 2008 here in Australia and I was won over by Jenny I remember drawing her and the rest is history.
I had this weird dream where I became the new owner of Jenny "XJ9" Wakeman after restoring her rusted and corroded remains and after installing a new disk to operate her then she asks " Who are you? "
IMO Invader Zim and especially Jimmy Neutron did continuity and character development very well. I loved MLAATR but I do wish there were more references to older episodes and such.
Duck Tales made a pretty good comeback, and look how that turned out. 😊
In short, be glad the show came out when it did and hope that it doesn't get a reboot. We don't want another New Coke-style reboot like they've done with PowerPuff Girls, Teen Titans Go, or DuckTales!

In all honesty the Calarts style has been a staple of Western animation for decades, people just finally noticed and quite a few overreacted.
I think My Life As a Teenage Robot would have benefited from being released later, it was a show that really needed an overarching story to tie everything together more cleanly and it came out at a time when creators were hesitant to give Western shows big plots outside of specials and season finales. I suspect a reboot or revival is likely given the show's tremendous cult classic status, the real question I think is when will it come out and who will be working on it?

The only things I'd have a problem with if they brought it back is if they
1. Make it all about representation (having lgbt characters. Feminist stuff. Sjw stuff)
2. If they changed the shows sense of humor (cause people always find something to complain about nowadays) mlaatr always had jokes like Tuck saying something like "oh you cant do this cause youre a girl" or having Jenny fall in love with some douce bag jock- I found all that stuff hilarious. But sensitive snowflakes nowadays wouldn't
And 3. If it just ends up being another TTG/PPG reboot where they completely disrespect where the show originally came from
But yea in all honesty I don't think they'd have to change anything about this show

Dude, the show _deserves_ to come back nowadays but if it _did_ came back however, gosh forbid it doesn't end up being a PowerPuff Girls, Teen Titans Go, or DuckTales clusterfuck with it ending up being a terrible reboot but instead, if handled properly, have it be a _GOOD_ reboot that everyone loves because, hey! I watched one episode as early as 2017 but I'm upset this cancelled when I was 4. Then right there, I realised that I got nostalgia from the best show I ever watched. I am depressed I want this show back

I have an idea for an episode: After being sick of being treated poorly by everyone in Tremorton, Jenny decided to not fight crime, which causes the civilians to feel ashamed. When one of the villains arrives and destroys the city, they'll try to get Jenny back while promising to be nicer to her.

Well, about the "paranormal" things in the possible 2020 MLAATR. I think the mystic and patanotmal things can be brought there by adding something like... The God of the Machines. I know, that sounds wild, but let me explain. This God can be the good guy, or the arch-villain of the series.
Now I will tell my thoughts about the both variations.
The Good Machine God variant can bring in the story another one character, who could call Jenny for a task to stop villains. In case that this is the Machine God, those villains could be his failure creations, who turned evil, just like Armagedroid was Nora's failure. Also there could be an ancient artifacts, just like it was in Transformers. For example, those artifacts can be a special modules for the robots, or super weapon/gadgets, and any villain of course will try to get it. Maybe even after getting the artifact, the villain can at first defeat Jenny, and after some hints from the Machine God, she could just block/dodge the effects of the artifact and deactivate/destroy/get it. Maybe even some of the Jenny's friends can use those artifacts to help her in the battle.
The Villain variation of the Machine God is an interesting thing... He would be that kind of villain, who want to destroy the world to create the better world. Also he could hate the organic life itself, because he disgusted with it, or thinking that this is the inferior beings, because, in his opinion, the real life is creating from steel, mechanisms and fuel. He can have the same artifacts, as it is supposed to his good variation, but he would create a robots for using this artifacts, and create them with something what could combine with it. For example, the magnetic artifact could be used by the magnetic robot, who can use it to magnetize Jenny's parts to himself and then use it against her. And as the final take, another villains can get the deal with Machine God to get power up/the promise to decide their problem in trade for the destroying/delivering to him Jenny. For example, Vexus can deal with him, wishing to return her domination over the Cluster, after that she can be rebuilt into the upgraded version of herself with some artifact integrated in her bod. And also after that she *MUST* deal with Jenny. And about the finale... I think it can be interesting... After all villains failed, even created by him special robots, The God of the Machines can go angry and use something like his ultimate weapon to eliminate Jenny once and for all. This is could be a starship with giant laser, or (more likely) the planet sized robot destroyer of the worlds. And to defeat this enemy, Jenny can call for help not only her friends, but even some of the villains, who was throwed away by Machine God after their failure. And this final battle would be the same epic as the battle against Senator Armstrong in MGR (Seriously, battle against him is the most epic final boss battle I ever seen), and also consists of the two phases: Battle with super weapon and fight against the Machine God himself. The last one would be the hardest and the longest battle in the Jenny's life, and after defeat of the Machine God, there will be peace.
This was my thoughts about the "Paranormal" aspect of the cartoon. I know, it's giant, and, I'm sure, there is many grammar mistakes (I'm Russian, but I think you already know that, because my nickname), I hope this comment is not a cringe to the foreign users of the CZcams...
I think the animations changes would be cool. It was nice to see the new style in the invader ZIM movie, so it could be cool in MLaaTR
Be careful with what you say before someone tries to make an TTGO version of MLTR.
Let's see.. It'd be full of forced morals, have a ton of dumb anime references, be poorly drawn with no interesting art style, be unfunny, etc.

@@atomic-art You can’t put it on Cartoon Network if Nickelodeon owns the right to the show. And even if it was on Cartoon Network today, it probably wouldn’t last that long and it would of been ignored for nonstop Teen Titans Go marathons. Take a good look at OK KO! It only made it 2 years.

I think that the reboot should be almost like the original series but in wide screen high definition and higher quality everything and no mistreatments like making it air one year after production or canceling for a short period of time and the plot and animation and humor and writing should not be really horrible it should be as good or even better than the original

Since movements are such a big thing right now. Brainlessly so. I wouldnt trust them to do Jenny here justice to her original character since their focus be mainly "The hero is a girl. Stick it to the man!" Or they'd fill the show with out dated memes or stuff it full of other politics.
But. I have seen some gems embodying zero politics and instead felt like classic cartoons like Justice League Action. So there might be hope as long as there arent bad writers or the studio trying to shoe-in bad ideas.

I am a tolerant person and I don't have a problem with people with different sexualities, but I don't like when some creators put forced LGBT characters in their shows. And I wouldn't like to see my favorite character turns out to be homosexual for some reason. In Loudhouse friend of the main character had gay parents, and that would be enough to understand that "there in the world are people who are love each and they have same gender" and bla, bla, bla, yadda, yadda...etc. But why creators make Luna Loud a Lesbian, I don't understand. What, beacuse she's a tomboy and like rock that means she must like other girls?

And if a creator actually made a character a lesbian because she is a tomboy and likes rock, sound like stereotyping (LGBT people general) if you ask me. 🤨 And at times, I do not like generic stereotypes. But you know, maybe they won’t put any LGBT characters, I hadn’t really thought of it but some shows are better off without them. (Like Regular show for example)

If it was made today? It would be a sitcom. Jenny’s weaponry would be heavily downplayed, vexus would be there, but she would be as effective as krakus. They would instead, introduce their own villains to stand out.
