Brian is so talented yet a well as gentle, humble, and lovely..... I hope one day, I could have the privilege of hugging this extraordinary human being.
A fossil? Really Brian! That my dear, you will never be. Every time we think we've heard the best from you, you astonish us with something new and unexpected. You're a bloody legend Brian. What a very sad world it would be without your amazing music. ABBA summed it up very succinctly.... But I have a talent, a wonderful thing, Cause everyone listens when I (Red) start to sing, Thank you for the music, the songs I'm singing. Thanks for all the joy they're bringing. Who can live without it, I ask in all honesty, What would life be? Without a song... So I say thank you for the music. For giving it to all of us. (ABBA Thank you for the music.
You hear the word "genius" thrown about so liberally these days. Seriously, the man is a genius. Builds his own guitar out of old furniture and scrap. Zillionaire philanthropist astrophysicist rock god. Tony Stark's got nothing on him...
Wow...basically Brian invented the tremolo? Its amazing that he still plays that guitar...completely hand made...that is the genius in him. Made his own...uses his own...originality at its best.
gnamp. Funny you bring that up. I use a Digitech Tube Effects Rack Mount Unit, but not a Brian May pedal style. Mines about 13 years old. Always thought that his strings must take a beating using a sixpence. Keep Yourself Alive
yeah your dead right mate--- i love eddie but my fave will always be brian... look at the riffs hes done for a start.... listen to the brighton rock solo on live killers i say to people.... thats what got me hooked on him all those years ago!
gnamp. He is one of the best. But still don't hear him say he invented palm-muting. I know many guitarists before him did palm-muting. I am a session guitarist and I use it from time to time.
I dunno, I reckon it works both ways... it's such a common, instinctive technique that it's not really a stretch that Brian would've arrived at it himself. Hell, I did ... (that was more to do with trying to mimic the start of "I Feel Fine" though, and I was just a silly kid!) Cool video though, I reckon!
mate, does it really matter? whos best, who's not..... who cares.....all those guitarists u mention are al brill in their own ways.... but brian may not be as fast as those but he sure can get a fuckin sound and a fair few classic riffs out of his axe!
gnamp. Now you are getting just a bit too picky. He didn't say he invented the palm-muting technique, he said it became his trademark. Simply how he plays. Great guitarist. One of the best.
@daljin1991 I don't know if I'd say one is better than the other. Hendrix might have been better with improvisation, while May's creativity is unmatched (czcams.com/video/POsOP3TF-XY/video.htmlm53s). Both are certainly virtuosos of the guitar.
brian guild account no1 build the full deck of instrumenst's the arial/aria 20 level. the scar stocks mate 4 pickups as agreed classical score roll only and ill take the year with ya .....
Yeah, ok- I heard you. I didn't say he said he invented it, did I? I suspect he didn't come up with it instinctively as he says he did- I maintain he will have got that elsewhere. Brian May himself says no one creates in a vacuum. And what's more, I'll submit that it isn't his trademark. When I think of Brian May, I don't think of palm-muting. When I think of palm-muting, I don't think of Brian May. It's a common device employed by guitarists from time to time. Nothing more.
gnamp. Relax. I think we are on the same page. I don't think of anyone when I think of palm-muting. We are splitting hairs. He just seems to be describing his techniques. Let's leave it at that. He is an innovative guitarist. I also don't know of anyone else who uses a coin like he does.
Brian is so talented yet a well as gentle, humble, and lovely..... I hope one day, I could have the privilege of hugging this extraordinary human being.
Brian is a genius in every way. I love that many have tried to copy his style.
Such a humble, lovely man. And one of the most incredible guitar players ever.
A fossil? Really Brian! That my dear, you will never be. Every time we think we've heard the best from you, you astonish us with something new and unexpected. You're a bloody legend Brian. What a very sad world it would be without your amazing music.

Without a song... So I say thank you for the music. For giving it to all of us. (ABBA Thank you for the music.
He is still a child inside. That makes him so lovely.
God bless Dr Brian May xxxxx
You hear the word "genius" thrown about so liberally these days. Seriously, the man is a genius. Builds his own guitar out of old furniture and scrap. Zillionaire philanthropist astrophysicist rock god. Tony Stark's got nothing on him...
brian may is the best guitarrist in the word
I find this very fascinating. Thanks for posting this.

Brian = God
noticed the live clips from expo92 - used to have this on tape, always shred-meister steve vai reduced to playing rhythm guitar for brian! hahaha ;-)
communicates with the Ether 😉
3:23 why does Brian use tape on his strings near tremolo arm?

From scrap to most expensive guitar in the world!
erm, if brian would hear you say that he would probably say "everyone has their own style"
and so no-one is better, but then we allways feel biased.
His is. He's my very favourite

The sound of him tapping on his guitar... Did anyone else ruin their pants?

he is much better than jimi hendrix
I'm sorry, that's my mistake.

now I love Brian May, but he did not come up with palm-muting, whatever he says.
no master class
All those guys do is whammy induced shit. Brian's music has soul and thought, not ten million effects that make things sound "good".
Freddie would not want him to playing.
Penni Oltheten
The Show Must Go On.
"Whatever you do, don't make me boring"
i like brian, but his guitar sucks :S
