Even though C215 is an older platform, it still looks modern. That body style is timeless. I want to purchase one but I have to make sure I find one that has been properly maintained and also have a few dollars on the side to continue the maintenance “Mainly for the ABC Suspension”
Glad you got the abc issues fixed bro. The Benz looks amazing by the way. Can’t wait to come back out and hang with everyone again
Thank you bro, lets catch up soon!
Awesome moves your CL has Lol. Glad you got it fixed, enjoy!😀
It does indeed. I'm glad to have it fixed as well
Maintained my own ABC for years. New hoses, accumulators, pumps , etc...
The car gave my wife so much anxiety that she didn’t want to road trip anymore. I ripped out the whole system and installed coilovers. Honestly glad I did.
Anyone need good ABC parts and a lowering module, hit me up.
That may be what happens next time I get an issue with it. How did you address the swaybars?
@@CarGhost I’ve had the car on the yellow speed coilovers for a little over a year now and haven’t felt the need for sway bars yet. Honestly I don’t drive the car very hard though.
The stance is good and the ride is slightly bouncy and definitely a bit noisy over bumps. It is reliable though. I’m sure you know how excellent the drivetrain is in these cars. Mine is a CL600. Great videos my friend. Thank you for the great content.
I appreciate the information and thank you for watching 🙏
Hey Charlie I should have gotten my CL55 with an extended warranty….bummer ☹️. I’m starting an ABC parts box in my garage for working parts and I could use your no longer needed parts.
I'm doing my best to keep my old girl's ABC up to spec, but that can't last forever! czcams.com/video/N8P-HR2tJ1c/video.html
I'm interested in stockpiling working components for THAT DAY! :D
AWESOME !!! Knowledge is power. My 2001 CL600 started beeping like yours. It iss starting to show some wear with 70K.
Just took my cl in today for ABC service today. I agree...I had all my accumulators replaced under extended warranty. Expensive item to fix so I get routine maintenance
Smart to get an extended warranty on those cars
What warranty do you use
@@CarGhost expensive extended warranties too
Extended warranty in 2022?
Your parents paid for the repair? That's the only extended warranty for the w215
Great vid fam... you have a "lip" on your front damn, shoot me info on that if you can... I'd like to take my 03' cl55 to your guy is he still in the game?
PS, I'll use the number posted on the building. Thanx man!
Hello is there a danger from pressure if you want to remove the accumulator ? Should I turn off the system off before ?
Just done mine …. Front accumulator on my CL55, was a pain thou to get the ABC line nut back in.
I hope that you answer me! I am going to buy new rims that are hella flush fit with the wheel well, so I am curious how to get them fit. What rim width and ET you have, because it seems your brabus rims are pretty close to that. And do they rub?
It's an ET37 all around I think and yes they rubbed in the back, but that is due to the tire size more than due to the rim offset
Nice CL55
where did you buy that lower lip on the front bumper
Suvneer, I have links in several of my videos
Do you have to bleed the system before taking out the accumulators?
I don't believe you do, but you'll have to after, so no particles are introduced to the system
i actually applied for them back in like 2009-2010
You should meet up with ItsTheBenzMan here on youtube, hes in cali and has an CL550 wrapped in chrome red.
I'll have to look for him
What size rims and tires are on you CL? I have a 2002 CL600 and wanted to go bigger than the 18 inches.
20" 285 rear 255 front, but may be go 265 or 275 rear. Mine rubbed a bit.
I replaced all those accumulators twice (in 150,000 miles). Then I installed Yellow Speed Coil-Overs and never looked back.
Plus, you get to remove 60 foot of hoses and pipes, four accumulators, two valve blocks, stupid tandem pump.
Do it... and don't look back
And No, you don't need sway bars on a 6' wide car that has 3" of suspension travel.
I want a cl55 amg pretty damn bad just afraid of getting something that's going to fuck up
I always wanted a CL mainly a 2005-2006 or 2007-2013 but they have abc suspension and I HATE abc suspension I have it on my S550 and I'm planning on selling it for a airmatic S Class
So u don’t have air suspension on s550. What year do u have
I Went with his hiro Coil overs.. Just just replace these struts and have the liquid drain out of it I didn't worry about the rest of that abc system and I'll tell you something it's a little bit faster and it handles much better! .. The difference in the ride I can't remember it it's where the market really small,, Do not get the old man's mode I think you will be disappointed I drive it at the sport mode and the difference is just negligible.. Race cars require sway bars I didn't notice it in my driving time... I wonder whether the value will go up I doubt it?
Good info, but I want to see the actual work while doing the replacement.
They could use simple air suspension like most of lux cars, I think someone told me that 4 matic models have air not the complicated hydraulic .
Where is this shop what state I am in Philadelphia
LA
brabus wheels?
Where did you find front spoiler ?
Suvneer
Thanks for info hard to find
Do have 2 R129, one V8, one V12, Modell 1996 and 1998. Flesh the ABC system every 25.000 km and dose not have any problem since I bought my Mercedes !
Where is European auto located?
On Oxnard and Hazeltine in the valley
abc is the pneumatic one? air matic body air control?
No, ABC is high pressure hydraulic.
Yeah, it stands for Active Body Control
i live in los angeles and need a mobile mechanic to repair my 2003 CL500 suspension at a decent price. Anyone know any?
If you can bring the car to A&N they do a great job. Text me on IG
All the parts you're talking about are dirt cheap in poland lol
Replace the hydraulic suspension with coilovers trust me works everytime😂
I was going to say$1,000.00. No. I Paid x 3 that 3 years ago in the UK. MB will always say. "Oh I've never known the ABC to fail at 35,000 miles - yeah. ... let me see if I can find a marine"
5:22 please stop discrimination against W208😢😂
My abc is stuck at max height. When I press the button nothing happens what could this mean ?
It sometimes happens. Turn the car on and off, then try adjusting the height. Also check tour abc accumulators, they might be due to be changed.
MY2002 CL500 is not changing gear and forcing to drive on 1st gear only in sport mode. Need your expertise. Thanks
Check transmission fluid. If that os ok, I guess, replace transmission.
@@CarGhost o dear. Big cost
Once you find yourself a transmission, labor should be 700-1000 for replacement
@@CarGhost Thanks sir...... Appreciate your support
Car Ghost is giving bullshit advice! You just need to clear the fault code and that will give you the ability to drive normally and time to replace the *transmission module* -- No need for a new transmission. The entire job *including part & labor* should be $700 - $1000.
Shaky x2 lol
