Ok, what happens if I don't like the way I look and I'm old. I really don't want to put my photo online.
I'd LOVE to know the answer to this question as well! Pretty sad that now we live in a world where a picture is a requirement to get a job. 😕
It's understandable that you may not be thrilled about how you look in your photos, but including a photo on your LinkedIn profile can be beneficial for your job search. A photo can help potential employers put a face to a name, and can help to humanize your profile and make it more memorable. Additionally, research suggests that including a photo on your profile can increase the chances of being viewed and contacted by recruiters or hiring managers.
That being said, you are not required to include a photo on your LinkedIn profile if you don't want to. The most important thing is that you feel comfortable and confident with the information you are sharing on your profile.
If you choose not to include a photo, you can still make your profile stand out by including a professional headline, a detailed summary section, and a complete work experience section that highlights your skills and accomplishments. Hope this helps!
@@ProfessorHeatherAustin It can also lead to agism and the hiring manager passing me by because of my age.
@@tabragg6330Sounds like it would be better to avoid those people to begin with. Might as well have a profile photo up to avoid them. As a person of color I can relate to the idea of being discussed against. So all the more reason to have a profile photo.
What what
ugh where do I begin laid off after 18 yrs in one job -
you can do this!
I know only Tamil language ,
No amount of job hunting strategy will help in the current recession you can have the best resume and best LinkedIn profile heck even have someone to do this for you if you are not getting any interviews than there is no job I have applied to over 300 jobs in the last 3 months only 5 interviews no job offer I have people say that it will be like this until November the problem is too many people applying for jobs they are not even qualified they are just doing it for the sake of applying and hoping for the best this leaves people who are ARE qualified with not even a phone screen from recruiters people who are not qualified need to STOP doing this
Welcome to reality? Lol.
