    LOVEBITES - Holy War lyrics:
Look at those black clouds, it’s going to rain blood
People live in fear, covered in mud
Singing oh Gloria to change the prophecy
    We are the metal warriors
    Fighting the darkness for sisters
There is a thousand, a thousand of evils
Hush, do not wake up Satan’s devils
Singing Hallelujah to save our majesty
    We are the metal warriors
    Fighting the darkness for brothers
    Shining blade and burning heart
Into the Gates of Hell we march
Immortal soul, let there be light
    Into the Eye of Heaven
    Eagles at a holy war
    Fly higher than the sun
We are one for all and all for one forevermore
Kingdom of Heaven, never shall we fall
    Reincarnation, wait for your call
Singing oh, Gloria to change the prophecy
    We are the metal warriors
    Fighting the darkness for sisters
    Morning star and dying moon
Into the Gates of Hell we march
Mighty soul, let there be hope
    Into the Eye of Heaven
    Eagles at a holy war
    Fly higher than the sun
Stand up in the name of the God of heavy metal
What do we live for? What do we fight for, tonight?
But the world is beautiful, worth fighting for
Only have one thing on our mind
    Facing the fate, holy war
Singing Hallelujah to save our majesty
    We are the metal warriors
    Fighting the darkness for brothers
    Shining blade and burning heart
Into the Gates of Hell we march
Immortal soul, let there be light
    Into the Eye of Heaven
    Eagles at a holy war
    Fly higher than the sun
We are one for all and for one forevermore
What do we live for? What do we fight for, tonight?
But the world is beautiful, worth fighting for
Only have one thing on our mind
    Facing the fate, holy war

Surely if you attend an entire Lovebites concert you'll come out of it with your brain crushed. But delightfully crushed if you really appreciate their music, their talent, their stage performance. That's why you go to a concert to go beyond your limits in the sensations you perceive. These are moments that you will never forget. The musical intensity of Lovebites is phenomenal, and even when it is very fast, it is always beautiful to listen to. The mark of legendary bands.

Yes, this song so fast and powerful. Some people said this speed metal or power metal. But for me, Lovebites is beautiful heavy metal.
They not just can play fast and hard. They can play so soft and ballads song too.
Try they song "Edge of the world"
And by the way, thank you for great reaction again to Lovebites.
Glad you back again get bites from Lovebites.
Hope more songs from Lovebites get many reaction on this channel.
Because all song of them is pretty awesome.

LOVEBITES is the complete package. They can do anything. They're not a "One Trick Pony" like so many bands today. Most Bands fit in a box but, when you try to box up LOVEBITES they'll bust out of that mold. So have no expectations open your minds and enjoy whatever they will present.

"They are intense", "she has pipes"....well said. These women put out more energy during the 105 minute performance than some band do in a month. Playing LIVE they are defined by FLAWLESS PERFECTION which they are relentless in the pursuit of. The M & M guitar clinic rolls on and yes they are total opposites but they harmonize like no other dual lead players I have ever heard. Wait till you experience them harmonize while sweeping and picking at speeds that would get you banned from ever driving again (We the United LIVE is a great example of this). This is not in my top 10 Lovebites songs compared to some of their other masterpieces. Try Edge of the World, Empty Daydream, The Awakening/Hammer of Wrath, Break the Wall, Rising, Above the Black Sea, Swan Song with Chopin Etude intro, oh hell pick anything these insanely talented women can't be anything but awesome and I haven't found anything they have done that is not remarkable. Great reaction and yes this band is a reactor's nightmare, where do I pause, how do I catch my breath, etc.... Asami/vocals comes from an R n B/Jazz/Soul background and a former ballerina student and while petite this little Napoleon (on stage commanding the crowd and the band) she belts out over the thunder behind her with little or no effort. The white dresses and high heels (they play the entire concert in them) are their trademark, but these little models turn into Metal Goddesses once they start playing on stage!!

No wrong notes. Lovebites are next level. 50+ years of listening to metal.... Lovebites are #1 for me, period. They're everything I ever wanted in a metal band, and it took me this long to find them.

Lovebites takes you through a full range of emotions in every gig. Sorrow, joy, power, elation, togetherness, all at varying speeds, or levels of intensity. No two tracks are really much like another, that’s why we love them. They have fun with the audience, or the audience is respectful, depending upon the track being played. It’s not all at this pace, and is much more watchable than you think. Great reaction.

Glad you noticed the different styles of the guitarists! Miyako (dark hair) is a blues-trained guitarist (and classically-trained pianist) and tends to favor more bluesy, melodic, soulful solos. Midori (blonde) is a classically-trained guitarist, and is one of the fastest and most technically-skilled guitarists in the world today! She often gets compared to Yngwie Malmsteen for their shared classical style and technical prowess. Miyako plays in the vein of Eddie Van Halen, Gary Moore and Ritchie Blackmore. Vocalist Asami is actually an R&B singer. When they brought her in, she asked if they wanted her to sing in a more "metal," style, and they told her no, to keep her R&B roots, the vibrato, the soulfulness, everything, because it would make their sound unique! She is also a very skilled pianist, though not on the same level as Miyako, who is a prodigy! Bassist Miho, who is the band leader and co-founder, is a jazz-trained bassist who is heavily influenced by Iron Maiden's Steve Harris. Drummer and co-founder Haruna has probably the longest background in rock and metal, and is influenced by Helloween's drummers.

LOVEBITEs always aim for perfection, they dont do anything half measured, and that comes through in their music and Live performances!
4 years of existence 3 albums 3 ep's 1 single 3 Live DVD's (soon to be 4), that's a lot for such a new band and you would expect to find some bad songs here and there but nope, not with them, everything they put out is pure gold!
The trailer they put out yesterday is yet another example of them taking something that was already a pretty high standard, their Live shows, and taking it to the next level!
For a change of pace and a different side of them check out "Edge of the World" or "Empty Daydream" both Live! 🙂

Thank you for getting back to Lovebites. "Almost Frightening"-- I like that! Haven't heard it put that way before. Yes, a two hour concert at that pace might be too much for a some people--imagine not just listening, but actually performing at that intensity! They do bring it down with a few ballads and even some classical music interludes. Hope you keep coming back to them.

"I feel there's so much singing going on it's almost a little bit overwhelming." That's one thing some of these Japanese all-women hard rock/metal bands have in common - vocal stamina. This includes the vocalists for Nemophila, Band-Maid and others. It is amazing they can sing all song long, all concert long. But especially Asami, as you've already heard her incredible sustained high notes.

Can't wait September when they are releasing a new DVD/Blue Ray from this years concert they had in March. Those "pipes" did the belting twice as long as in this video, also played the piano. They had 18 tracks, two hours of music in those dresses and high heels.
Like you said, they rarely miss a note not to mention they are one if not the most in sync band ever existed. It is like all five members are using some kind of telepathic musical wavelength. Never seen any band like that. They are all multi-instrumentalist and classically trained pianists, with Miyako (first solo) being more of a Maestro.
Some complain that they are not to energized or that they don't go bonkers running around. Well, I'd like to see them play this type of music with this complexity for two hours straight in tight skirts and dresses wearing 10cm high heels and then see how that goes for them.
Lovebites are not the only band that is insanely good from Japan. There are so many and dozens if not over hundred of all female active bands.
A saying: "No matter how good you are, how much you practice, there is always a tiny Asian girl that is just better than you". Which is true ... you give an instrument to 13-16 year old Japanese girl and within 6 to 12 months she is playing it like 6 years.
Other all female bands: Nemophila, Band-Maid, Scandal, Aldious, Mary's Blood, Gacharic Spin, Doll$box, Bridear, Trident, Accent, Hanabi to name a "few". Then more performance oriented such as Passcode, Shingeki and WagamamaRakia or BabyMetal. Mixed: Unlucky Morpheus, Asterism, Waggaki Band then you also have the all male and Visual Kei. There is much to see and listen there it is unbelievable. If you add the Pop side (Femm and Perfume for example) ... even more so.

This was the second song of the show, so their high heels were still on the gas pedal. The third song, "Don't Bite the Dust," is a bit less intense and is more of a fun hard rock song than an intense heavy metal song.

You get them. Yes, they have worked tremendously hard and passionately to be what they are and do what they do.
Metal artists so often dress in black and are much into death. Lovebites do metal, but wanted to project that they are on the side of Light, not Darkness... so they wear white. This is not me guessing, they have stated this.
Miho (bass) and Haruna (drums) founded the band; they were previously together in Destrose. Miyako is classically trained on piano and occasionally that appears, as in some performances of Swan Song. She is the main composer.
I see her and co-guitarist Midori as like goddesses of Justice and Mercy. Miyako so serious and darkish, Midori so sunny and bright. And both absolutely top level players.

'All female Japanese" is an unnecessary modifier. The only modifiers that now apply are awesome and any synonyms thereof. They are Metal 2.0, if not 3.0. One thing you'll learn the more you listen is that they focus on the positive.

I think the advice that if you want to sound like this, you work to make it happen, is good advice. But you either sound like Asumi or you don't. Some singers are born. If you don't have the instrument, you can't play at that level. You can still be a good singer, but you can't be this good of a singer. Sorry.
