- M-Tac Amazon Tactical Bag Review for concealed carry.
This is the one I bought. It's all right for the price. If you don't beat the heck out of things like I do in farm life, it'll probly work for you just fine.

I bought one of these a year ago in black. It was rugged, tough. I finally broke the zipper because this is farm life and it's rough on things. So, since this one works, I went to Amazon and hit "buy again", and this time got the blue one. The blue one was made differently, I think.
#concealedcarry #pewpew #farmlife #foryou
Thanks kindly for the thorough review, especially the heads up on the flimsiness of their new material.
Really great review. You showed everything anyone would want to know. Well Done!
Thank you so much for the review. You're right! I bought a black bag and a blue bag. Different material! Blue bag is thinner! What a shame, I liked the look of the blue one better but sent it back.
What a great thorough review. You showed me exactly what I wanted to know. Thank you so much.
Glad it was helpful!
So you'd think the Velcro on front is for morale patches...but in reality it's so you can Velcro on a machine gun ..or a tank...or a gunship!! Yup,your welcome!
Good review… I just bought and received the black one 2 days ago, and the canvas is quite thick (like your first one)… I wonder if the canvas on the blue ones is thinner for some reason. I absolutely love mine.

I like your down to earth style.
Love your review ❤
Great review. Thank you.
Thanks for watching!
thanks for a solid review!
Glad it was helpful!
Good review. Had I seen this review before buying the M-Tac bag, I might not have purchased it. However, I did purchase one last week (10/23). After a LOT of research, I can say it was one of the better choices. Nice bag, nice price. But, it is just like the lady says - it is bit thin, squishy. I figured for the price, I can replace it in a couple of years. Size and layout are great for a small Sig. I bought the gray model.
The blue one didn't last.me.but a few weeks before I had a blowout. The black one was good though. Like I said, made of different materials. Which is weird.
Cool video thanks.
Thanks for the review
No problem 👍
I took the custom owb holster that came with my gun and switched the clips to the other side and connected it to the straps in the main pocket. I love that it clicks in feels a lot more secure and I don't have to worry about anything catching on the trigger.
Awesome!
Specifically came to see how the emergency pull thing works
They make a “Left” handed version now! Also try slinging it over the other shoulder so it sits in front of you! Thanks for the great review! 👍
Oh my goodness, the comments "You are wearing it wrong", always gotta have a critic. I believe I explained why I wear it that way. I drive a tractor and muck stalls and handle large livestock. I gotta be able to slip it off once in a while on the farm, but in public it stays on me all the time. I kinda hate girly purses, but I kinda hate militant looking things, too. And no, it's pretty hard to carry around a cutesie little purse with bling on it out on the farm. I went to a similar leather bag on Amazon - same design and pockets as this one, but it straps on either side - that I modified with Velcro inside to be like this one, because I am NOT a military type and do NOT want to announce to the entire planet that I might be carrying. The objective is for bad people to look at this harmless old fat lady and have no clue I might be carrying. I don't like drama that results from people seeing my special friend. They call it "concealed" for a reason. I carry it that way because that's what is comfortable for me and durable. Never claimed to be an expert, but there seem to be a few here. Lol Go for it, y'all. Just know that rude comments will be deleted. Lol
Just realized how much I was saying "I don't like it" in the video. This was the first day I had the thing out of the package, and every new bag is an adjustment. I'm very anal about where my gun lies and how it has to be snug, in the same position all the time. So it is an adjustment period with the new bag. It took me a few days to get comfortable with it and put it all back the way the other one was. The flimsy material is still gonna die, though. Threads come off the zipper every time I open it.
I always go straight to any companies website so I can see all their options and actually get what I pay for.
For the fast pull strap aka (emergency pull thing) tbh idk the right name for you pull it out of the pack and zip the zippers up side by side it
Thank you for review. I too am short and round and am looking for a ccw bag.
Glad to help
Awesome review. Thank you so much. Really wish they made it for left handed people.
I agree. Lefty's Lives Matter! Lol
Looking back at this comment....it snaps on the bottom in left.ir right. There's a loop in both sides. Also, when I glue in my Velcro patch, my hard holster.ca stick in that any which was. So it can be for lefties.
Velcro is for morale patches. American flag patch, unit patch etc...
Great video
Thanks!
I have the first M-tac over the shoulder pack. I threw away the holster that came with it and use a Universal velcro holster for my Glock 19 . I do keep the quick release strap exposed you just keep it out of the top bring the zippers up to the strap on both sides and yank it straight down .I use it for concealed carry but I am in a wheelchair so not really abused like your work. I have used for a few years now love it . The velcro on the front is for patches I have an American flag on mine
I wound up modifying the velcro holster I am using. I sewed on a velcro strap to keep it in and it has a loop to grab it quick. It's complicated, but I just can't have that stuff flopping around. I caught it out of its holsters twice in two weeks when i was really doing a lot of bending, climbing, etc. There was a dude here at Walmart just two days ago that had a pistol in his pants pocket or something? He was wearing sweats. He was putting his groceries in his trunk and it fell out and went off, and it went in the groin area and came out somewhere in or near his head?!!! Last I heard he is alive, had to be life flighted out of there. So that... is why I'm picky about my gun. And I'm just a noob.
@@beggsnachin I am in a wheelchair I don't bend lift anything . I only have one arm that works so I hoyer lift to get in and out of my chair. The system works great for me. But I agree would not be my first choice if I was active
Hello I appreciate your review of this bag! I’m currently looking at this bag for cycling around as the fanny pack I have does the job, but when peddling harder it tends to flop around. I know it’s only been a week but I am curious to know how it’s held up since the video
It's holding up, but as I mentioned in video it's made of cheaper material. Already, threads are coming out. It's not gonna hold up to farm work, whereas the black one was thicker canvas. It gets mashed around quite a bit crawling in and out of the truck and tractor, crawling through brush. It's gonna die. I give it two months.Btw, this flops around too. You could tighten it, but I like it loose, the fanny pack hurts my back, so this one I can slip it off and on easily.
I think I had this one maybe 8 months before I blew out the side pocket zipper. Of course. Where I keep my phone. It's always the zippers, no matter what.
Velcro is for the tac is for the velcro patches
Thank you for the review it was very informative. The moving around seems concerning. I was thinking perhaps the material is now nylon and convas, so possibly better weather resistance. Thank you again ;)
I have another review on a cheaper bag on my channel...black canvas ",tactical" material. It's quite tough, but I did have to modify it for the pew pew bc some dingaling in their advertising dept thought it would be cool to advertise the back compartment as a pew pew place but there's nothing to keep it secure. It just flops around in there. I have continually struggled to find an option that fits my body and needs. So, since I have to modify anyways, I go for cheap, now bc I'm gonna sew on it and hot glue it. I have a hard holster with a diy Velcro strap on it that holds it in, that I transfer from each bag now. The hot glue actually holds up pretty well and I just glue in a patch of Velcro to stick the holster on. Then, as I do in.my other.video, I turn the whole ( unloaded) thing upside down and shake the puddin out of it and mash it all over bc we abuse stuff, here. So the hot glue worked.
Thank you for reviewing this I almost bought it but I guess it’s not really sturdy enough
It's not... bad....? It's just not perfect. I'm in a manufactured leather one at the moment. It's lasted 8 months, I think. But it still has issues. And it wasn't made for cc so I had to modify the inside (i.e.... hot glue and holster) . I have a pile of leather hides here in my craft room and someday.... I'm gonna just make what I want. And it will probably last my entire life at that point. But until then... I'm still shopping for the unicorn.
Folks, I added a clickable link to the bag that goes straight to it. Also, see my latest horse video-. I'm wearing the latest one (almost identical) in black on a horse, and yes, I'm "wearing it wrong". Lol.
The folks that offer it don't want me to mention price, bc that changes once in a while. It's all right for the price. Personally, I have yet to find one I totally like because I'm just really picky. And I kill zippers. Often. But the different colors not screaming "tactical" can be a plus. I've even seen where folks put an iron on patch or embroidery, handpaint flowers on it to make it blend in better. Folks asked about a lubricant for sticky zippers... I've used olive oil, lard, and my chapstick.
I ordered the black one and it's durable and thick (stiff solid).
Maybe the blue one is done with a different material to dye it blue.
That was my thinking as well.
The velcro on the front is so you can put on velcro backed morale patches. Some patches are for military ranks or tours of duty but some are just for fun. I have the same bag and I have a state flag patch on the velcro part of mine.
Thanks for that. Good to know. I wonder if they have velcro patches somewhere that have other things. I see folks that took this bag and embroidered it or ironed on patches to make it look more "normal" to not bring attention to it. That was my thing, that I wanted just a little bit of girly, without the flimsiness that you get from most "girly" things. The "pink tax" is an actual thing. Pants, socks... And POCKETS. Dear God, make actual pockets in female pants! LOL
Thanks for the review I'm waiting to recieve mine atm..I've never cc before I like the sling style instead iwb/owb now I'm not sure about it..I'll let you know I think it's the 2nd gen bag also..ty
Hope you enjoy it!
All the g *n people say don't off body carry bc of safety, but us fluffy people kinda can't always do that. Not if you don't want everybody to know you're carrying. And for me.... I'm always too hot. I'm wearing tank tops.most.of the year. Even in the baggy ones, it sticks out. With belly band I just roast to death, enough that I get faint. I'm 50 this year. I'm all about bein' comfortable.
perfect reply.. I enjoy mine so much I hope you enjoy whatever you decide to armor up.. cheers and be safe
That was my concern about the build quality with the newer products, how has the blue one help up?
I believe the blue one is of lesser fabric quality. It got holes pretty quick. I have moved on to another, similar tactical bag, review on my channel and short modification video. I went for the cheaper pricetag in the similar black color, as that style seems to be tough in that color. It comes in camo and other tactical colors ( annoying that it only comes in "tactical" colors). Since I glue in my Velcro holster anyways, I picked cheaper. It has held up to hard abuse on my farm for six months or so. Lemme see if I have a link....
Current black bag that's similar: amzn.to/3O7CKQ3 #ad. Note the pocket on the back. I modified that part for CC. It's just a big, open, flat pocket with a snap.
My video showing said bag stuffed full of all my junk. czcams.com/video/gcp7gojBPlk/video.html
I thought I did a video of my glueing in the holster in that back compartment, but apparently not. It's not that hard to figure out. Piece of velcro glued in. I used copious amounts of hot glue to put in a velcro patch that my Velcro holster with strap sticks to. Turned it upside down with everything in it ( unloaded, of course) and shook the stuffing out of it, mashed it, the whole bit. I mash the heck out of that thing doing farm work. No slips. And unloading when I have to go into a ridiculous g *n free zone ( last night at a school, church service) is a quick deal to take it out without dissembling everything. Well, in our state, you have to unload it and put it in a lock box in the car. Idiotic. Thieves can steal a lock box, too. And I walked through doors with no metal detectors or anything at all except a sign to "keep us safe" . Idiotic. But I digress. Lol
Anyways, hope that helps.
Is the color standard blue or blue malange? Her amazon page said blue malange but color looks solid blue in video? Thanks
I have no idea how to explain that it's a blue bag. Lol. Um.... It's blue.
Is there a recommended lubricate for the fast draw zippers?
Haven't a clue. I use olive oil.
Did you get a counterfeit blue bag?
Not that I know of?
Thanks for your review. I think I'll give that bag a go and see how I like it. I took a close look at the product details and noticed that only 2 of the color options are the more durable material like your 1st bag, the rest appear to be a blend of Polyester and Oxford Cloth. Also, I saw some of your other comments and replies about people saying you're wearing it wrong and I can tell that you're tired of hearing it, but I'm curious to know why wearing it properly would be a problem. You'd still be able to swing it around and out of the way, but at least you should be able to draw with your left hand. Anyway, if you care to see how to wear it as intended, or see how the emergency pull feature works, this guy's video demonstrates both rather well. czcams.com/video/mLi2AXDz3Gs/video.html
It's all about the fat. When it's swung around back and I'm driving, it pokes me in the back. In the front, it gets in the steering wheel. Side is...sorta ok. When I ride horses or do farmwork I will cinch it up, but I found either way it will slide off when I bend over a little. Or I just feel squeezed. In summer or in general, I keep my upper body free and aired out. I have worn it both ways, just usually wear it a little lower most of the time so I can move freer.
Junk! (and that's being charitable!)
nothing tactical about bags lol or pens or knives they just exists adding tactical means nothing
I agree, but you find cc options when the name "tactical" is involved, usually. Lol. Everything not labelled "tactical" or cc I have to modify it.
You are carrying the bag wrong it doesn't go down to your side it goes up to your shoulder
I addressed this very concern a few times now in the comments. You do you and have a great day!
