Its a dream come true to witness the most oldest Rathyatra in Sreerampore. Mahesh Jagannath Mandir is a special place to visit in Kolkata actually not in Kolkata but in Howrah. Mahesh Rath is amazing to see as it is fully made up of iron and wood with a wonderful architecture and amazing decorations. The idol of Shree Jagannath, Shree Balaram and Devi Subhadra are made up of Neem Wood and is a mark of devotion and consciousness. Chants of Jai Jagannath filled the place and mind! What an amazing atmosphere! In my video, I have shown you in details the different portions of the chariot or Rath and also the temple along with the preparations and the special Mahesh Rather Mela. I thought of staying till the end of the programme but had to leave as the crowd was so uncontrolled and I could fear risk of stampede as the situtation was not much in the hands of the authorities. But I have shown you in details the Rath and the preparations of the festival which I think you will like very much.
