Your the man the legend!!!! It works for real!! I’m so happy as can be, it starts as a new bike… is really does! Thank you Sir!!, I have used motorex brake cleaner, compresse air can for pc cleaning and after that I sprayed it with Soudal multi use spray. Perfect!!!

Adding my thanks, it sorted my problem, 2016 Africa Twin DCT, starting had become very bad. I was a bit nervous about separating the two halves of the assembly, that parts might fly out, but actually it is very simple and no problem, The contacts to be cleaned are easily visible. Just make sure you remove the two phillips screws, one of mine was quite hidden by brake reservoir/mirror assy.

Spray the switch down with WD-40 when this issue happens, boom starts right up

It's not a cold start problem. The problem persists even when the engine is warm. The problem is known to Honda. My right console was replaced on warranty when I had this problem.

You might be right, is a start problem but in most cases persist when engine is cold (that was my case).

Make sure that contacts under the start button are not sulfated. Good luck!
