No one plays this song anymore, thank you for the reaction Salvo! ♥
It’s so crazy to think about it, but this was our “My Heart Will Go On.” It was literally everywhere at all times for at least a solid year+! I’ve missed it so much! ❤️
RIP James Ingram! HE was one of the beautiful voices in We Are The World! This song always BRINGS me to tears. Thanks for doing this epic beauty~
Such a great song. Sadly James passed away a few years ago and Linda can't sing anymore due to illness, but we'll always have this classic to remember two of the most beautiful vocal tones ever in contemporary music.
These are two beautiful people with equally beautiful voices. Whomever thought to pair them together was brilliant.
James Ingram song, Just Once has always been one of my favorites. Rest in peace James 🙏
James Ingram's voice was just PERFECT! More must-listen from him: "Just Once," "One Hundred Ways," "There's No Easy Way," and more!
Ditto, ditto, ditto!! The loss of James Ingram was huge.
James Ingram, one of the kings of R&B,. His voice was amazing.
Beautiful song with great voices. I loved listening to James Ingram. RIP.
Criminally underrated song. This is one of the most beautiful songs I have ever heard. Instant chills and tears. Gorgeous. Two of the best vocalists in history right here. Thank you for your reaction to it!!
I just loved hearing James Ingram singing . He was a wonderful singer; that little raspiness to his voice. I absolutely loved him.
I haven’t heard this song in ages. So beautiful. MAN, their voices are so well matched! Even same vibrato. Perfect.
🖤James Ingram.....what a voice. He has so many great duets......he was the perfect collaborater. Especially great with Patti Austen.
And he's easy on the eyes, too. ♥
Listen to anything Linda recorded with the Nelson Riddle Orchestra.... absolute perfection.❤️❤️❤️❤️
I used to cry anytime I heard this song as a child. Please delve into James Ingram’s discography. You will not be disappointed. Just Once is sooo good. James Ingram and Patti Austin “Baby, come to me”. 🔥 You may have missed him, but he performed on We Are The World, as well. Lastly, I would highly suggest Quincy Jone’s “Secret Garden”. James is on that one along with Barry White, El Debarge and Al B Sure! 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
James and Patti also had the gorgeous duet "How Do You Keep the Music Playing" one of my favorites!
James Ingram has a solo on We Are the World.
Yes James Ingram what a Power House Voice RIP
37 years and I still tear up every time I hear it.
Me too!😢
I'm 46 and it still makes the waterworks come on full force. I'd even gotten a big stuffed "Fievel" for Easter the year we'd seen the movie in the theater (1980-something). Don't know where that stuffed Fievel got to over the many moves from place to place, but seeing that next to my Easter basket on Easter morning was worth more than any chocolate bunny! 😅😂
Linda , we know, is amazing! James is as well. Unfortunately, he passed away from cancer, but he was associated quite a bit with Quincy Jones. James had a single out called "Just Once" which is lovely. He also sang on "We are the world" with his unmistakable voice. I hope you can enjoy these songs of his. And anything by Linda is great with me. You probably know this, but Linda did another duet with Aaron Neville. Thanks for reacting to this.
Her best duet with him was All My Life. I don’t really care for the other one that everyone always mentions .
@@evanhughes1510 I forgot about that one, which is just beautiful! Thanks for this.
Yes he was very tight with Quincy, Quincy described his voice like Whiskey, if that makes sense!
James also had a duet way before with Patti Austin, who is the goddaughter of Quincy J. “Baby come to me”, which was a big hit!
Linda was such a diverse singer, she could sing anything and sound great,James Ingram also was incredible singer ,sadly he passed away in 2019.This is a wonderful song!My kids loved watching the movie years ago.
One of the greatest duets ever made hands down 😊
My favourite song from one of my favourite films. We should appreciate Linda Ronstadt as much as we can while she's still alive, because she has been suffering from Parkinson's Disease for ten years and can no longer sing. The producer of this song, Peter Asher, was a big star in the UK when I was young as half of the singing duo Peter and Gordon. He and Linda collaborated on many projects.
James Ingram, was also was part of “We are the world”!
Great reaction! One of the most beautiful songs ever recorded. Incredible voices, both Linda and James. Check out James with "Just Once"
I love Linda and James, especially together. Great song!
James Ingram had a solo in We Are The World. You should really look into his music. He's great.
James Ingram: 'Just Once' . . . also a couple duets with Patti Austin: 'Baby Come to Me', 'How do you keep the music playin'
And again, I cry. 😭 ❤
An incredible piece of music. Those two voices. GOLD!!
Linda could sing with anyone and James was simply amazing. You are so right! Two gorgeous powerhouse voices blended into an absolutely heavenly sound. This song doesn’t get any attention anymore and it really should. Thanks for doing this and jogging our memories. 🌺✌️
another thing...This song is emotional for me because it takes me back to when my kids were little and we would go to movies see this and other movies all the time. Then wed get them on VHS to watch over and over.
I ALWAYS cry with beautiful music. This is definitely one of the great ones from years ago. THANK YOU!
Such beautiful voices.
Beautiful duet ... but you need more Linda, there is never enough LINDA !
Agree, Linda is the BEST
James Ingram is in the music video of We Are The World
I have always loved this song and it never fails to give me goosebumps, a lump in my throat and misty eyes. Thanks Salvo. Hugs from Oz
These two are magic
James Ingram is FANTASTIC. Please, please check out Just Once - and his duet with Patti Austin- Baby Come to Me. Haven't heard this song in forever and a day - and yes it still made me cry.
Isn’t that such a beautiful song, and with two fantastically talented people.
Have always loved this song, there is something BIG about it. For everyone maybe missing someone they love, or to love - connecting us all through the heavens and stars above somehow. So beautiful. Love James Ingram, he deserves more attention, a huge talent. "I don't have the heart" is one of his songs, he worked with Quinzy and MJ, wrote songs - sang with Dolly Parton (he was nominated for an Oscar for that song + 1 more), We are the world of course, and lots more... RIP James! ❤
❤ Love Linda ❤
One of my favorite songs...... PURE HEART AND TALENT
James Ingram was one of the most magnificent voices in his era. Another movie sound track duet that is awesome is James and Dolly Parton, who did a song called The Day I Fall in Love, from one of the Beethoven movies.
As much as I love this song and both of these artists I also love the version from the movie. The two kids who sing this are really good and so dang cute. I actually have both versions on my play list. Thanks for reacting to this. Also, it is so sad that there are generations out there that don’t know James Ingram. He was so talented. RIP
I'm glad to know I'm not the only one moved to tears by this song
Love Linda Ronstadt. My absolute favorite is her duet with Aaron Neville - Don't Know Much (But I Know I Love You). I tried searching, but didn't find it in your reactions.
James Ingram has an amazing catalog, both singles and duets. His duet with Patti Austin, Baby Come To Me and single One Hundred Ways are both beautiful. Frankly there are too many to name; he was simply magnificent. Miss that voice.
So pretty ❤
Two of the most beautiful voices ever. James is the guy that most people don´t know when they´re reacting to "We are the world", where his part is also fantastic.
Decades later, I still tear up for this sweet, beautiful song.
Still brings tears to my eyes and gives me chills....
Great great song, love James Ingram (RIP) and Linda is my favorite female singer
Two great songs by James Ingram that you may want to listen to are Just Once and How do you Keep The Music Playing which is a duet with Patti Austin. Both great songs
🇬🇧 This song always makes me cry, and so did the film. 🎼🎶💓
You should recognize him from one of the solo singers from USA FOR AFRICA We are the World.
James was one of the singers who did a solo on We Are the World. Kind of toward end after Ray Charles.
I remember when this came out, they sound so beautiful together!❤
He's had a variety of hits, mainly duets or as featured vocalist. Hit #1 with Patti Austin duet "Baby, Come To Me" and #1 as a solo artist with "I Don't Have The Heart", which has killer lyrics.
One of my favorite songs! Thank you for playing it!!
This song gives me chills every time!!
One of my favorite songs ever! Another James Ingram song that I like is I Don’t Have The Heart. Thanks, Salvo, for another great reaction.
James had a most wonderful, magical & powerful voice. He left us way too soon. RIP! Linda has a nice voice as well. She was not one of my favourites but I do love her on this song.
I love this song Love love love! I also love the mouse version of the same song sung by the cartoon characters in the movie ( also in the soundtrack) that will warm and break your heart at the same time.
Powerful vocals love it
The period when I was coming of age …. The feelings at that period was amazing
I loved this movie and the music. The movie had the children who did the character's voices sing the song, but then this version played during the credits and on the radio. Fun fact, Don Bluth was the incredible animator/director for this film, also did the animation for "The Secret of NIMH" and others. He is an incredible artist.
Thank you - this brought back memories!
In 1986 when this came out, I was in 10th grade. Radio was huge back then, and you couldn't escape this song, it played at least every hour, every day. Honestly I got sick of hearing it. But after years of NOT hearing it, I can certainly appreciate it for all that it is. Thanks yet again!
An American Tale. Great movie.
I"m glad you've discovered James Ingram! He had a string of fantastic hits in the 80s and I think early 90s. For another great romantic duet, you need to check out "How Do You Keep the Music Playing" with James Ingram and Patti Austin! Thanks!
I love watching your reactions - seeing you get all misty eyed! I've always loved this song - such an amazing duet!
I would play this for my son when we had to separate for days due to divorce. One of my favorites.
James Ingram and Tamia live performance of How Do You Keep the Music Playing is amazing!
So pleased to see someone reacting to this, I have recommended it on a number of occasions
Loved this movie and song when they first came out! I believe I was in 6th grade. Thanks for reminding me of this sweet song. 🙂
This Is One Of My Very Favorite Songs From When I Was A Child. I Grew Up With My Mom Singing Me This Song And I Have Grown Up Singing It As Well! This Is A Beautiful Song And Brings Back So Many Great Childhood Memories Of My Mom Singing This Song To Me All The Time!
WOW!!!!😮❤
It’s a beautiful song ❤
The guitar solo was played by Toto's Steve Lukather. My favorite guitar player on the planet.
I never had that reaction before. But when they added scenes from the movie that did it. Amazing. I love your reactions. You aren't afraid to show your emotions. It's a wonderful gift to have.
If you were to rewatch the "We Are The World" music video you will now be able to recognize James Ingram in it!
When I was in foster care, my mom used to sing this to me on the phone. It still makes me cry
Love this. Always cry when I hear it.
Check out baby come to me by James Ingram and Patti Austin. Also just once play James Ingram
I love this song by these two amazing singers. Yes, get into James Ingram. "100 Ways" is one of my favs but "Just Once" is also so amazing. You will not be disappointed with his music!
So moving. These two are artists in their souls!
James Ingram was awesome. Sad he's gone now.
Such a great song and movie!
I had forgotten all about this song and this video. Thanks so much for bringing back warm memories!
❤My son Josh, is 35 now, but he LOVED this song and this movie AMERICAN TAIL when he was just itty bitty ❤️
Fievel Mousekovitz!
She also has a wonderful duet with singer Aaron Neville who I love
It’s called All My Life
@@evanhughes1510 Actually the duet with Aaron Neville I'm thinking of is "Don't Know Much but I know I love you"
It's called "Don't Know Much" sung with Aaron Neville
@@daniellaplume3840 yea that’s the one everyone always mentions, but it’s really not very good, it’s kind of boring. All My Life is a much better sounding sounding song. Never understand people’s fixation on the other one…
@@evanhughes1510 well, I do happen to think it's a short song, but I think it's really preontty. I can check out All My Life now
There are 4 incredible female singers in the last 40 years that I have such an emotional connection with, any time you react to them I'll watch and like, they are : Linda Ronstadt, Olivia Newton-John, Helen Reddy & Sheena Easton
If you like James Ingram, he has a song along with Kenny Roger's called "And what about me" great song, check it out
Great reaction Salvo! I'm glad you're good - I'm sitting here at work with tears in my eyes. Beautiful song - brilliant collab between two immaculate voices - Linda is a treasure, and James Ingram (RIP) - epitome of soul! Yup - emotional is an understatement!
For another amazing James song (a duet with Patti Austin) - Baby Come To Me! Cheers!
Thank you for this.
Chills. Again.
Mr James Ingram is kinda underrated , he was an awesome vocalist
Great review SalvoG. You got my attention and now I want to see what "5 Autos for $200" that is displayed on your Preview screen is all about...
Thank you for reacting to this song. I love your reaction!
❤
If you view "We Are The World," James Ingram is the singer before Tina Turner. He had one of the most magnificent voices. You should look up his work. You will be like, "THAT'S HIM?!"
He does have a great voice but I decided that We Are the World song. Dreadful.
