All due credit to other beatboxers, but I think River is just a step above. Very original and killer execution.

and napom is just the same old things, obviously very well executed and very powerful, but its not new for me yk?
that doesnt mean those things are bad, they are perfect but they are old so it doesnt surprise me as it did 4 years ago
It sounds like personal preference he uses a lot of lip rolls. Every beatboxer has overused sounds but that’s what makes them unique. Like River overuses lip and teeth basses.

yeah, but for me in battle it's not necessary for everyone to have a new routine, the most important thing is your strategy to defeat the enemy. Yes, we can see an example during dlow vs collaps 2019, dlow used the old routine with a little remix in round 2, but he won because of strategy, sorry this is just my opinion

Really wish Napom would show more creativity in his taunting behavior. Like yeah, imitating River might be cool for one of the routines, but all of them? And in the same way?
Nevertheless, what a powerful performance by both beatboxers, as well as a well-deserved victory for River.

Napom was freestyling man. Okay in performance way he was 10/10 and powerful also clean but thats all. Structure is nowhere and transitions are just okay. If battles were only about dropping drops that would be boring for sure. But luckilty its not only about that.
Also RIver has everything what Napom is strong about but he has structure so thats a big + for him.
Beatbox battles have always been about showing off your coolest tricks. That "Mainstream music like structure" is pretty new.
Napom takes the W until the overtime happened.
@@Blaze72sH everything personal preference, i also thought that napom was losing even berfore overtime. Same goes for his battle against osis where he also lost in my opinion. Also strucure was always a thing in beatbox and also innovation and napom is just not innovating every battle sounds 100% the same.

"Everything" is not personal preference. It does contribute largely when deciding the winner in a beatbox battle but it's foolish to claim EVERYTHING is personal preference.
Never said structure wasn't a thing in beatbox. I have made a very specific case. "Mainstream music like structure." Reiterating in case you didn't read. Beatboxing battles have always had an unique structure contrary to mainstream music. River's headed exactly that way.
Napom is still innovating. The combos he did there were innovative and unusual. The punchlines are old but the beats aren't.

Napom's execution is getting better and better, however river's dynamics, especially in the last round, was phenomenal, to say the least.

Tbf I feels good for River to beat Napom 2 times (afaik) in the finals, he deffo deserves it since he always brings something new and special. Napom - ironically like he said "boring" about the beat to River, became boring himself with the same recycled beats.
I love how napom did a little reenactment of his famous round against Gene years ago in his routine after River did so much of Gene's sounds in his.

確かにNapomはえぐいし、すばらしいビートボックスをしてるけど、このまま、似たルーティン、同じルーティンを続けるなら、我々の耳は肥えてしまう。
Napomは一つ一つの音の完成度
フリースタイルの技術は評価されるべきところではある。
しかし、Napomのフリースタイルでバチバチにやってやるてのは分かるけど現代のビートボックス界では、少しルーティンとしてでの完成度をみたい風潮が強い気がする。
それにしてもNapomがいまだに第1線でGBBを取りに行くという意思が全面に出てるのはカッコええ
なんかもったいない気がする。
絶対に優勝出来るはずなんだよ。NapomのGBBのワイルドカードは予想を上回った。
Napomファンとして冷静に分析するとこうなっちゃうけど、彼は進化しているから信じたい

For me river won all 3 rounds. I think napom tried too hard by remixing all his beats in attempt to freestyle (like he always does). Sometimes his freestyles don't hit as expected. Ggs to both beatboxers man... Much respect.
