- Chicken and Cheese Sandwich by Chef Vineet Bhatia
Ingredients
3 slices of brown bread, crust removed (white bread would also do)
100g cooked chicken tikka, sliced (any cooked chicken would do)
50g mozzarella, grated
50 cheddar, grated
2 tablespoon soft cheese
1 small spring onion, chopped
1 red chilli, chopped
A small handful of fresh coriander leaves, chopped
Salt
Cracked black pepper
1 slice burger cheese
Egg wash
2 eggs whisked
Salt
Cracked black pepper
In a bowl mix together mozzarella, cheddar, soft cheese, spring onion, red chilli, coriander leaves, salt and pepper- this will be the filling for the sandwich.
Spread a generous quantity of the cheese filling on the sliced bread, arrange sliced chicken on the cheese mix.
Place the second slice on the filling and repeat the process with the filling and top it with a slice of burger cheese.
Place the 3rd slice on the filling. Now put a plate on the sandwich and press it down firmly to flatten the sandwich and to bind it together.
In a bowl make the egg wash by whisking the eggs, salt and cracked black pepper.
Dip the sandwich in the egg wash and coat each side.
Heat oil in a pan and place the egg coated sandwich and cook each side until the exterior turns golden yellow, always cook on low to medium heat as this prevents the egg from getting overcooked and at the same time there enough heat for the filling to warm and the cheese to melt and turn gooey.
Cut the sandwich diagonally into half and serve with tomato ketchup and chips.

Tip for cameraman: more zoom in / closeup shots into the preparation, will help. In this video, for e.g. when he does the pressing using a plate, was expecting a closeup shot :) rest was fine. You're lucky to work with Chef Vineet and are doing a great job 👍

Hi chef Im following you from masterchef 6 Big Fan
Sir, I really like the combination of spices and veggies used to make cheese mixture. So, I want to know if the same combination can be used with cream instead of cheese to make a creamy sauce to savour rice, paneer or chicken?
What type of plate is that the sandwich looks delicious
Nice one Vineet
Only thought there were a few goof ups but it made it more real trust me
I lovvvvvveeeee cheese tooooo... but I don't look as slim as you...hahahahah
It was super delicious sir😍😍....but Grating the chicken rather than putting slices would May be the much better option...Sir.. 😏
My dream to meet v.b sir
Soft ceease kahea
Sir how can meet you
I thought of replacing chicken with cheese. But then what should I do instead of an egg wash? Btw I am a vegetarian.
Use milk wash
When I saw the 2nd layer being added...i started feeling this is so sinfully good...it feels wrong...lol...and then he added egg to it...lol...madness...must be a lot of calories...
It adds a nice flavour though. You live only once, so indulge sensibly
@@ChefVineetBhatia If this really is Chef Vineet then it's an incredible moment to be interacting directly with you. My mozarella and cheddar are on their way...will be trying it this weekend. Thanks for sharing the skills Chef. Appreciate it!
