  • Known for his playful use of language, Joseph Kosuth has always been interested in what lies outside of the frame of a work - often spilling out into rooms and buildings. In this video from the Time Space Existence series, he discusses his relationship with architecture and the responsibility of the artist to work against the market.

    I don't think he's using the word "tautology" correctly. I think what he means is self-referential, which is not the same thing at all.
